Thank you Helen Joyce. She has absolutely nailed it; "neo-religion" is the operative word.

It's a fundamentalist, binary, cultish phenomenon and getting into a discussion is utterly counterproductive. Look at the reaction to the BBC for printing one critical article amid an almost total capitulation to gender ideology' - "The BBC is institutionally transphobic and always has been..."

It's a black-and-white, good vs evil "struggle" for its "true believers." Yes there are opportunistic porn addicts and paedophiles jumping on board but at heart it's a neo-religious phenomenon and cannot be debated or reasoned with.

Helen also presents the solution with a beautiful, simple pragmatism; ignore the ideologues and strengthen the law. Strengthen the democratic process and tell TRA's they will be abiding by the law. Don't wait for them to approve or agree. Don't indulge extremists, be they religious, political or gender-political.

Bravo Helen Joyce.

Good news from BBC following attacks for their recent article. Looks like more people wrote in support than complained
