Monday 15th November - No Country For Old Women
A senior living facility is facing legal action for not forcing a female resident to share her accommodation with a trans-identified male.
Boston-based organisation GLAD - GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders - has instigated legal action against a senior living community in Maine over its refusal to accommodate a trans-identified male in a shared room with a female resident.
In March the Sunrise Assisted Living community received a request to accommodate a trans-identified male following his stay in hospital. Initially, staff indicated that accommodation was available but, after learning that the potential occupant is a transgender male, raised concerns about him sharing a room with a female resident.
In October, GLAD filed a complaint on behalf of the trans-identified male with the Maine Human Rights Commission against Sunrise Assisted Living community. They claim their client was discriminated against on the basis of gender identity, transgender status and sex, all of which are protected under the Maine Human Rights Act.
In a statement GLAD Senior Attorney, Ben Klein, said that his client, “simply wants to be treated with dignity, compassion and understanding as she [sic] ages.”
And what about some ‘dignity, compassion and understanding’ for the elderly woman who was expected to share her bedroom with a man?
Tuesday 16th November - Legal Eagles Turn Chicken
THE TIMES: A group of barristers objected to the inclusion of a gender-critical speaker at an LGBTQ forum.
The inaugural Middle Temple LGBTQ forum was held on Tuesday. It included a debate on conversion therapy. Several members expressed concern that the panel, which included Nancy Kelley and Kieran Aldred, Stonewall’s CEO and head of policy respectively, did not have any gender-critical voices. Consequently, the organisers invited barrister, Naomi Cunningham, the Chair of Sex Matters and a regular contributor to The Legal Feminist website.
Of course, her inclusion enraged the gender stasi-at-law who were horrified at the idea of having to hear an opposing point of view.
Over 100 barristers, pupils and students wrote an anonymous letter to Middle Temple to protest. They made a number of demands:
For those unable to hear an opposing argument, I’d posit that the law is not an ideal profession.
Wednesday 17th November - RIP Women’s Sport
THE GUARDIAN: The IOC leaves males free to overrun women’s sports with the publication of its new trans inclusion guidelines.
All of the scientific evidence shows that males, whatever their stage of transition, retain numerous physical advantages over women meaning that their inclusion in female sport is never fair.
Nevertheless, far from protecting women’s sport, the IOC has now effectively erased single sex categories altogether. Its new guidelines for trans inclusion can be broken down into 3 main points:
1) Trans-identified males are not required to lower their testosterone levels to compete in women’s sport.
2) There is "No presumption that athletes should have an advantage due to their transgender status".
3) Individual sports can restrict athletes if peer-reviewed scientific evidence demonstrates that there is a ‘disproportionate advantage’ and for reasons of safety. But they don’t have to.
In short, the IOC has thrown women under the bus. It has removed all bars to males participating in female sport and handed responsibility for deciding who can play to individual sporting bodies, relying on them to form their own policies. Given that sporting bodies overwhelmingly prioritise trans-identified males (eg England rugby, French rugby, USA gymnastics, Union Cycliste International etc etc…) there is little hope of them of protecting women’s sport.

4W: A Birmingham primary school tasked pupils aged 10 and 11 with writing about a ‘transgender teddy bear’.
Last month, Colmers Farm Primary School gave Year 6 students an assignment in which they wrote diary entries from the perspective of Tilly, a ‘transgender teddy bear’, who is ‘coming out’ to a friend.
The school posted some examples of the pupils’ work on their Twitter account. The post was later deleted but it was been archived for posterity.
The assignment was part of a No Outsiders scheme for schools, created by the organisation’s founder, Andrew Moffat.
No Outsiders is a charity which describes itself as promoting "Respect for diversity through education" and supplies materials, lesson plans and 'guidance' to schools and libraries throughout the UK.
Back in July 2020 we reported on No Outsiders misrepresenting the Equality Act 2010 by producing a poster for use in schools which lists ‘gender’ instead of ‘sex’ as a protected characteristic.
Thursday 18th November - Labour Losing Women (And Men)
A Labour Party member was suspended from the party for suggesting that the menopause only affects women.
Twitter user, @gilbohouse, was responding to a question about the consequences of gender critical views when he said that he had been suspended from the Labour Party for suggesting that ‘only women suffer from the menopause’.
He provided details of the charges made against him. He was accused of “Conduct prejudicial and/or grossly detrimental to the Party” and of demonstrating “Hostility or prejudice based on gender reassignment or identity”. Because he knows that the menopause only affects women.
A Labour Party source told journalist, Adam Cailler, that, “Labour rules, unlike the actual law, are based on gender and not sex - therefore they go beyond the law, or as they would like the law, just like Stonewall does!"
But then this is the Labour Party which fawns over fetishistic males like Lily Madigan, Heather Peto and Anna Lee, affording them all the roles and opportunities reserved for females, and throws women like Rosie Duffield and Karen Ingala Smith to the wolves.
Strangely enough, after @gilbohouse’s suspension caused a stink on social media and attracted the attention of journalists, he was magically unsuspended. It had all been an admin error, apparently.
Friday 19th November - The Clocks Are Striking Thirteen In Warwick
THE TIMES: Warwick University has been criticised for its determination to implement Stonewall’s policies in return for woke points.
Warwick University shows off its Stonewall credentials - it is clambering up the well-greased pole of the Workplace Equality Index and also a Diversity Champion - on its website, trying to prove its ‘commitment to the LGBTQUA+ community’. (Apparently the U stands for ‘undefined’. Because straight tourists don’t have enough letters.)
In a desperate attempt to curry favour with its Stonewall overlords, the university encourages people to share their pronouns, wear pronoun badges and use ‘they’ as a default until a preference is expressed. It also “spearheaded extensive works across campus to re-sign all gendered single occupancy toilets to be labelled simply as ‘toilet’”.
You really couldn’t make it up.

DAILY MAIL: A sex offender who tried identifying as trans is on his way back to prison for the third time having breached his Risk of Sexual Harm Order.
Aaron Herschell was being held at Polmont Young Offenders Institution in Falkirk in 2016 while awaiting his trial for rape. He claimed to be transgender, requested gender reassignment treatment and demanded that staff call him ‘Alexis’.
He was subsequently convicted of raping a 19-year-old woman and attempting to rape an 18-year-old woman and sentenced to two years detention. A few weeks after his release in 2018 he was returned to prison for breaching the conditions of his licence.
Now 24 years old, Herschell is on his way back to prison for a further 14 months having breached his Risk of Sexual Harm Order by socialising with children under the age of sixteen.
He appears to have abandoned his trans identity altogether. Which is something the Self ID crusaders claim never happens. Acceptance without exception, right?
Saturday 20th November - Trans Activism’s Theatre Of Cruelty
THE AGE: Performer, Hugh Sheridan, was driven to attempt suicide by transgender activists who hounded him over a theatre role.
36-year-old Hugh Sheridan is an Australian actor. Last year he was offered the role of a lifetime, playing the lead in a stage musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which was due to be performed at the Sydney Festival.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch was a hit cult movie released in 2001 and has since been turned into a stage show. It tells the story of Hansel, a young gay man from communist East Germany who falls in love with an American soldier. He undergoes sex reassignment surgery in order to marry his lover and escape to the West. When the surgery is horribly botched, Hansel - or Hedwig as he becomes - is abandoned by his lover and creates a new life for himself as a rock star.
The cast were just two weeks into rehearsal, when trans activists organised an open letter which demanded that Sheridan be sacked from the role. The letter accused him of ‘gatekeeping a trans story’ and claimed that his playing Hedwig was ‘offensive and damaging to the trans community’. Sheridan, of course, was accused of transphobia and suffered a barrage of horrendous abuse on social media.
The creators of the original film, John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, issued a statement to say that Hedwig is not transgender - “A young fem gay boy is bullied into a gender reassignment by his boyfriend and his government in order to preserve the sacred binarchy” - and that the role could be played by any actor with the talent to do it.
Nevertheless, the musical’s producers cancelled the show. They issued a statement saying, “We wish to assure the Trans and LGBTQIA+ community that the issues raised are respected and taken very seriously”.
Not only were the actors out of a job, but the musicians, stage crew, set designers, lighting technicians and make-up artists (one of whom is trans) all lost work as a result. Sheridan himself was left in a ‘very, very dark place’ and twice attempted suicide as a consequence of his hounding by trans activists. “You cannot support cancel culture if you care about people’s mental health”, he said.
Sunday 21st November - Auntie’s Big Brother
MAIL ONLINE: Stonewall tried to suppress the BBC’s ‘cotton ceiling’ article and claimed that discussing this issue is equivalent to ‘sexual racism’.
Several weeks ago the BBC published a vital piece by journalist, Caroline Lowbridge, reporting the experiences of lesbians who have been coerced to have sex with trans identified males. Several women reported having been sexually assaulted, some described being labelled transphobes if they refused trans male partners and others spoke of being pressured to ‘re-think their genital fetish’.
A leaked email shows that Stonewall’s CEO, Nancy Kelly, contacted the editorial director of BBC News months before Lowbridge’s article appeared in an effort to suppress its publication. Kelly claimed that raising the issue was akin to ‘sexual racism’ and suggested that article would be ‘transphobic’.
Angela Wild of lesbian campaign group, Get The L Out, told The Mail on Sunday, “For years lesbian activists have been trying to get the message out that it is not bigoted to say ‘no’ to sexual pressure from males who identify as women. The fact that Nancy Kelley has framed the reporting of this issue as transphobia is disgusting. Stonewall are a disgrace.”
See you next week.
Fantastic work again JL. Depressing reading - this seems relentless and futile but this is the hill I will die on. I refuse to give in to bullies and an ideology that is so damaging and vile to my sex. I stand with all women and girls - even those throwing away themselves in this god awful fight. Never in my lifetime did I think I would see such regressive attitudes and witness such abhorrent treatment of women and our male allies. This has to stop. It has to. For sanity.
These MRA/TRA/PEADOS/kinks/AGP/rapists and pervs have a common theme regardless of how they identify. They are not hiding anymore. Not only that - they have an audience cheering them on and waving flags and fawning over them showering them with approval and enabling the most horrific elements of society.
The rot from within destroyed many empires and in 2021 history has taught us little. I only hope we are in time to save as many vulnerable kids as possible.
I’m so bereft that this insidious and sinister movement has been given so much power.
Not linked to the article above, but I'm subscribed to Waterstones email list and last week received Best Politics Books of 2021. 9 books were featured and one of them was Shon Faye's book. Neither Helen Joyce's, Julie Bindel's or Kathleen Stock's books were one of the 9 books blurbed in the email. When clicking on the full list there are 19 books discussed in the Race, Gender & Sexuality section, again none of these three books are mentioned.
