Monday 29th March - Airports Are Transphobic
THE INDEPENDENT: A transgender model has complained about ‘transphobic’ airport security systems.
Rosalynne Montoya is a trans-identifieid male who describes himself as a model, make-up artist, influencer and content producer. Last week he uploaded a TikTok video complaining about transport security after he confused one of the scanners at Los Angeles Airport.
Full-body scanners, able to detect suspicious items hidden on or in someone’s body, are used in airports for security purposes. They require passengers to be designated either male or female so that the software can compare the scanned image against a ‘standard’ body of that sex, sounding the alarm when irregularities are detected.
When Montoya insisted on being scanned as female at LAX recently, he set off the alarm. The Independent coyly describes the cause as Montoya having ‘an anomaly’. But, put more bluntly, his penis blew the whistle.
The solution was for Montoya to be ‘patted down’ and when asked if he wanted a man to do this, he replied “No, absolutely not”. So some poor female member of staff was forced to pat down Montoya and his ‘anomaly’.
In his TikTok video Montoya raged, “We need to change how the scanners function” and, in a later upload, he added, “The root solution is to believe transgender people when they tell you who they are”.
Tuesday 30th March - Women’s Rights Are Not Safe in Lib Dem Hands
Alison Eden is a district councillor and the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Central Devon. As Lib Dem blogger, Nigel Scott, explains, “At the last general election, as a candidate, she led the party to one of its best results in the West Country”.
Earlier this month, the Lib Dems organised an online event called ‘Ask Ed’ in which party members could pose their questions to leader, Ed Davey. Alison Eden joined this webinar and asked the following question:
“Stonewall have argued for and campaigned to remove exemptions from the Equality Act that allows for single sex spaces… Do you want to end single sex exemptions and do you believe that anybody who feels female in their heart has the right to access e.g. a female refuge regardless of physique, anatomy and appearance?”
Of course, this question was not permitted and Alison was booted out.
This comes as no surprise. You may remember that Ed Davey and Layla Moran singularly failed to define the word ‘woman’ when asked to do so during the Lib Dem leadership election and that Ed Davey believes trans-identified males should be housed in female prisons with vulnerable women.
In 2018 domestic abuse survivor, Natalie Bird, was bullied on social media by Lib Dem trans activists, hounded out of her role within the party and accused of ‘dangerous transphobia’ just for expressing her belief that trans-identified males should not be accommodated in women’s refuges.
A year later Ms Bird was investigated by the party and subsequently "Barred from holding or standing for election to any party office for 10 years" and "barred from holding or seeking to be elected to any public office on behalf of the party for a period of 10 years" because, it was claimed, she had disseminated ‘transphobic material’.
Her crime? Wearing a t-shirt that read “Woman: Adult human female”.
(Natalie’s currently raising funds to take on her former party. Please contribute!)
Wednesday 31st March - The Ideological Capture Of CNN
NEW YORK POST: A CNN article denying the reality of biological sex has been met with derision.
On Wednesday CNN published an article by Devan Cole decrying South Dakota’s ban on trans identified males in women’s sport. It referred to biological sex as a ‘disputed term’ and claimed, “There is no consensus criteria for assigning sex at birth”.
Social media users ridiculed this article and its anti-science nonsense. This resulted in a hasty alteration being made to the original text.
The claim that it’s not possible to tell what sex babies are has been replaced with this:
“It's not possible to know a person's gender identity at birth, and for some people, the sex listed on their original birth certificate is a misleading way of describing the body they have.”
Thursday 1st April - The Misogyny Of Trans Activism Laid Bare Down Under
SKY NEWS: Supporters of a feminist academic were harassed by aggressive trans activists at Melbourne University.
Dr Holly Lawford-Smith is an associate professor at the University of Melbourne. She has spoken out about the dangers of gender identity ideology and set up a website, No Conflict They Said, to collate stories from women and girls who have been impacted by trans-related laws and policies. As a result she has, of course, been subjected to a campaign of harassment and bullying.
A group of trans activists organised a protest at Melbourne University, calling for Dr Lawford-Smith to be sacked. Several of her supporters also attended and were verbally abused and intimidated. Trans activists threw water and swore at the women assembled, insulted them, screamed “Fuck off terf!” and called them c*nts. One trans-identified male shouted continually into a woman’s face with a loud hailer.
This is men’s rights activism in full force.
Also Today - Transphobes Without Teeth
Thanks to Dr Lesley Semmens for drawing attention to yet another example of the aggression and misogyny of trans activism.
It seems that the slogan ‘Transphobes without teeth’ has become popular amongst gender ideologues. In addition to the examples Lesley has supplied in her thread, just search the phrase to find up dozens more.
And women are constantly asked why we can’t just be kind.
Friday 2nd April - Follow The Money
Last year we reported on Jack Turban MD, a child psychologist and very vocal advocate of puberty blockers. In 2019 Turban received a payment of $15,000 from Arbor Pharmaceuticals, a firm which manufactures them.
Last year The American Pediactric Journal published an article, Pubertal Suppression for Transgender Youth and Risk of Suicidal Ideation, written by Jack Turban and three other authors. Not surprisingly, it is in favour of prescribing puberty blockers for dysphoric adolescents.
The journal has just published a correction to this article acknowledging that one of Turban’s co-authors, Dr JM Carswell, is in the pay of Endo Pharmaceuticals, a company that manufactures puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
Always follow the money.
Saturday 3rd April - Medics Speak Up At Last
THE TIMES SCOTLAND: Clinicians who elide sex and gender put patients at risk.
The British Medical Journal has published a study, Sex, Gender and Clinical Data, led by senior medical researchers at St Andrews University.
The researchers found current medical practice often uses the terms sex and gender interchangeably and this is putting patient safety at risk.
Dr Margaret McCartney of St Andrews University’s medical school:
“There are many instances of sex and gender being confused by the research community and society more broadly. Unless we identify and count categories correctly, we will end up with errors which serve all populations poorly, including minority populations.”
Susan Bewley, emeritus professor at King’s College London:
“Medical care requires an understanding of the difference between sex and gender categories; untangling them is crucial for safe, dignified, and effective healthcare of all groups. Avoidable harm may result when they are conflated.”
Sunday 4th April - Women Aren’t Allowed Anything Of Our Own
PORTSMOUTH NEWS: Bowls England is changing its policy to accommodate trans-identified males into the women’s game.
In October we reported on Stella Moore, a trans-identified male who accused his local bowling league of being in the ‘dark ages’ because he wasn’t permitted to play on a women’s team.
The 67-year-old is a retired quality engineer and father of two and has been “living as a woman” for the past three years. He has not undergone any surgery and does not have a gender recognition certificate.
He hit out at Portsmouth & District Women’s Bowling Association which, reflecting the policy of Bowls England, required him to be three years post-gender reassignment surgery or to have a GRC in order to play on a women’s team.
At the time, Maria Munir, Stonewall’s head of community engagements, told Portsmouth News, “We’d welcome a conversation with Bowls England to talk about how they can make their policy as inclusive as possible”.
Well, it looks like might have had that conversation and now we’ll have to add bowls to the list of women’s sports which males are allowed to infiltrate.
Chief executive of Bowls England, Jon Cockroft, said the organisation is ‘developing a new trans and gender-diverse policy’. He said, “We are at the final stages of consultation on this complex matter and intend to have our new policy in place before the start of the season.” Moore has been asked for his input.
Cockroft commented, “The physical demands of bowls are more modest than most sports”. So why can’t Stella Moore play on a men’s team? Unless, of course, this is less about bowling and more about validation…?
An interesting aspect of this story is the huge discrepancy between the photograph used in the headline (supplied to the paper by Moore himself) and more realistic photograph which appeared in last year’s article.
It’s not an uncommon phenomenon, especially when reporting on trans-identified males in sport, which Miranda Newsome has documented in this illuminating thread.
ALERT! Kellie-Jay Keen has asked that we respond to English Rugby’s request below. Unbelievably, they’re still trying to get natal males into the women’s game.
Extraordinary that this still has to be explained to adults, but here’s Joe Rogan on the subject.
See you next week.
Thanks as always, JL, for this depressi... I mean, fascinating insight into the world of egomaniacal, self-centred, short-sighted, self-important, demanding, grasping male narcissism.
"Montoya insisted on being scanned as female"
Well... you're not female, are you? These things be are bound to happen when you insist on lying about reality. Duh. If your friends and family want to go along with your delusion, that's up to them, but to expect society at large to do it? Very narcissistic.
