Thanks as always, JL, for this depressi... I mean, fascinating insight into the world of egomaniacal, self-centred, short-sighted, self-important, demanding, grasping male narcissism.

Oh, I'm used to it. Just read that ludicrous US Guardian article that no-one outside of Stonewall thinks is real....

"Celebrate transgender day of visibility by looking at me, specifically"

*rolls eyes*

That Guardian article is both hilarious and enraging. I honestly couldn't decide if it was satire! "I wake up in the morning and my first thought is that I need to be SEEN!". Well, that's the joy of only having to 'identify' as a woman. Us actual woman have far more important things to worry about!

The person that wrote that drooling, dribbling moronic article (For the Guardian) has previous form in this sphere. Sissy porn writing and discussions...

Still, right at home at the Pink Guardian I suppose...

My mum had an Auntie Sissy. I never met the lady - she was long gone by the time I came along - but I've seen photographs. She was a vast mountain of a woman with a cantilevered bosom, a huge red face and arms the size of beef sides. She seemed permanently cross and, whatever the weather, was always buttoned into a tight woollen coat that could barely contain her corpulent frame. Whenever I hear the phrase 'sissy porn' I picture mum's aunt rolling down a substantial girdle bellowing "I HAVEN'T GOT ALL DAY" to a terrified skinny man cowering in the corner.

And that, of course, is most certainly preferable to the reality.

It most certainly is! I warm towards your aunt. And that is a much preferable mental image that you so well describe.

"Montoya insisted on being scanned as female"

Well... you're not female, are you? These things be are bound to happen when you insist on lying about reality. Duh. If your friends and family want to go along with your delusion, that's up to them, but to expect society at large to do it? Very narcissistic.

I would like to suggest that in future the airport in question - no, I'm fact ALL airports - install newer, more up-to-date scanning equipment so that this never happens again. We need more inclusive machinery, clearly. and not the bigoted systems of AI scanners that we have now. I mean, who designed these machines - JK Rowling? Graham?

In cannot be beyond the wit of cisgenderman to invent a scanning system that recognises LadyDique.

When you Google his name, there are two pages of this airport story on various sites etc. Were I a cynical type, I might ponder he's also shamelessly self-promoting, too...

gearing up for a lawsuit to pay for a neo-vagina? btw I'm afraid to fly and I had no idea that the machine could tell whether you have a penis or not. How detailed are these things...feels like those old "x-ray glasses" ads

I seem to recall a bit of resistance when they were first installed due to the privacy issue. I think the image the scanners produce is quite detailed so it instantly recognises when there's something there that shouldn't be. Because that, of course, is their job!

lets make all airport security trans friendly ..in fact lets do away with any security, passports, searches, immigration etc - wont it be a happier and friendlier place!

I just listened to an amazing interview with Debbie Heyton. It was important for me to hear her point of view because I’m finding myself gardening against trans “rights” simply because they are infringing upon the rights of others. I loved what she said about writing laws which legislate “people’s right to do things, not their right to be things.”

That's a great way of putting it.

amen to that. For all that goes into helping them transition from one sex to the other almost no effort is going into helping them transition from mental illness to sanity. In fact collectively they have gone off the deep end in the last decade. Why is this (j/k, it's the internet, it makes all groups of self-entitled men --incels/MRA/gun nuts/pedophiles/whatever-- exponentially worse when they are exposed to others with their own brand of depravity). Exponential derangement factor.

Yes! A delightfully inclusive world of lovely wonderful fluffiness and inclusivity and diversity. A thoroughly inclusive world where anything goes because a small group of activists demand it. A world with no borders, no restrictions, no personal boundaries, no private or safe spaces, especially for females... How inclusive!

What could... possibly... go wrong?

(Did I mention 'inclusive'?)

A friend of mine suggested that Montoya could have been patted down by a member of airport staff with a penis who, for the duration of the search, identified as female. Perfect solution! 😏

There you go! A sensible solution for a difficult moment! WE SHOULD ALL LEARN FROM THIS!!

That or get the sniffer dog to do it... (Assuming the dog isn't transphobic, of course...)

This was the part that made me the most enraged. A woman had to pat down his penis which is a violation of her rights just so he could be validated as female. If she’d refused I bet she’d have faced a disciplinary ☹️

Yes, I'm sure no woman would dare refuse. Just had to grit her teeth... Reminds me of Lily Madigan bleating all over Twitter a while ago that he'd been frisked by a man when going to G-A-Y. Someone asked how he knew it was a male bouncer. Oh I did laugh.

And this is another example of a computer-driven machine being transphobic. First we had the facial recognition software and its system as transphobic, now the airport body scanners.

Who knew that Artificial Intelligence could be so bigoted?

Hmmm, well, clearly airports and security generally must “believe people when we tell them who they are”.

Next time I’m at an airport I intend to repeat “I am not a bomber” at the top of my voice.

small happy victory from the US I just read about https://adflegal.org/blog/court-rules-professor-cant-be-forced-endorse-ideology-against-his-beliefs can't even express how happy I am the court found this professor can't be compelled to use the pronouns.

Also I feel really silly now for thinking that the MRA/TRA nuts didn't know about or respect the women's sports part of Title IX, it's clear now to me they are absolutely and intentionally trying to deliberately abolish Title IX, as made clear by this case https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/546081-lgbtq-students-sue-department-of-education-over-religious-colleges There is method to their madness. That's infuriating to me and really underscores the MTRA have real animus toward women...this is being done under the imprimatur of LGBT so the misogynist gay males with all the money like Stryker and so on are behind actions that hurt biological women.

That Joe Rogan segment is amazing from start to finish, thanks for posting it...it breaks my heart he sold out to spotify and now can't cover topics like this, he was way before his time and educated on the issues but Spotify essentially has defanged him with regards to this.

I think that court ruling just sends the case back to the lower court. It still has to be tried there, if I am not mistaken

The airport security thing - yeah it's stupidly petty, but even more silly because they assume they wouldn't be flagged as a male? They didn't even wanna try but I'd bet they would anyway 'cause the times I've flown with men, more often than not they get stopped and fondled lol... just part of having a cock.
