Funnily enough my Facebook memories showed me the Billy Bragg post this morning so out of curiosity I went to his page. What a cesspit of fawning and sycophantic virtue signalling that page is - both from Bragg and his followers. One posted a so-called "balanced" article by a trans identified person, Natalie Wynn, which was shared as "reaching across the divide". It's titles Gender Critical - Contapoints. Balanced my arse - it all comes from the point of view of pro gender ideology and asking "former rad fens" why they used to be "terfs" is hardly the language of diplomacy - or actually engaging and listening to gender critical views. But I digress. Billy Bragg is a sell out and JL's amended picture is spot on and applaud you. It's hardly surprising that Bragg sides with people who pretend they are something they are not when he is till selling himself as a socialist man of the people while living a very privileged capitalist lifestyle.
he's always dumped his previous fan base for new...always wants to be with the youngest. Desperate to be cool and on trend. Completely embarrassingly fake. He makes my toes curl.
Bragg obviously isn't concerned about women's safety, or 'cis' women if he's adopted the dismissive language of gender idealogues. He doesn't care that women are being prevented from setting our own boundaries and policing them.
He's a bullshitter, a liar and an opportunist. I hope he eventually suffers for the position he's taken and the things he's said. And he will, when the the scales finally fall from people's eyes, and they realise that the toxic gender cult that has emerged isn't about gender dysphoria or transsexuality, it's about misogyny and disturbing sexual compulsions.
When that happens, I anticipate a lot of other similarly loud mouthed, bullying misogynistic celebrities will be joining him, and sharing the disgrace and derision they all deserve. They worked hard for it, and their payback should reflect that.
I used to admire this Man a little, but he’s shown his true colours. There are still Men like you who care about Women out there, but Billy Bragg is not one of them. Thank you for publishing these truths.

At Hatfield Polytechnic 1983/4 Billy Bragg introduced his gig describing himself as “the new Bob Dylan”. My husband was there and raised an eyebrow.
