Twitter today is full of misogynists like Finn MacKay casting doubt on the testimony of 80 lesbians in a groundbreaking, if long overdue, BBC article. It’s obviously a significant number, but let’s pretend it’s not enough to show the scale of the problem. Here are a few more stories that might help
When Rory O’Neill/Panti Bliss demanded receipts, got them and then pretended he had lost the ability to read.
‘Shana’ Carrol saying the quiet part loud. “"Hopefully we shall see some further updates down the line that can help us better filter bigots, but at the end of the day genital attracted individuals will always be out there and we need to continue to build resiliency against their ignorance."
The story of Eli Erlick.
When I was attacked by careerist journalists for pointing out the problem.
Miranda Yardley, who is trans, writing about the problem four years ago.
Kitty Robinson has released a book of testimonies from lesbians sexually assaulted by trans-identified men.
Allison Bailey, the lesbian Stonewall tried to get fired, was tweeting about it in 2019.
NBC news on straight men invading lesbian spaces.
Lesbians aren’t the only ones being targeted by straight people. Meet The Boxer Ceiling.
A Facebook page for ‘transbians’ again saying the quiet part loud.
Here’s Stonewall insinuating that same-sex attraction is bigoted. Talk about Misson Creep!
As Kathleen Stock said “head of Stonewall compares same-sex-attracted women to racists. If that's not pressure, what is?”
Saint Magdalen, of course, made many videos on the situation before her tragic death. Link 1, Link 2, Link 3.
Finally, on a lighter note, the brilliant Karen Actually has made a video about the problem.
Actual final note: Coincidentally, I was asked by Independent journalist Sam Moore for a quote on his Matt Berry non-story and I replied “I'm sure Matt is as troubled as I am by gender-nonconforming children being given irreversible drugs and surgery, women being hounded out of public life by misogynists, lesbians being coerced by trans-identified predators and a complicit media pretending that all this is progressive.” Of course, they pretended they hadn’t received it and the quote appears nowhere in the piece.
You can complain to The Independent here about this unethical journalist. Also, you might want to send a letter to the BBC thanking them for today’s important piece.
The statistics that they use to show how high trans suicide rates are were taken from some students in a university and those numbers were lower than 80.
Those stats have swayed the police, the gov, schools and unis. And now suddenly they have issues over figures when its against them?
The whole thing is like some bad, tasteless joke.
Revolting, predatory, mentally-disturbed, sinister misogynists.
