This too angered me last night more than I was expecting. I was incensed. I think their demands and threats last night over this were, quite frankly, obscene. This, in a very real sense, is a form of social engineering - by a now w*k*-ridden and ideologically-captured organisation that we actually pay for.

They forget that we are CUSTOMERS! We are not the ignorant, bigoted, great unwashed that they think we are.

We are not here to be lectured, 'educated' and treated with insulting disdain by various blue-haired interns, non-binary feature writers and gurning oh-so special, delicately unique people who seem to be making and controlling public website policy.

Who decided that the BBC are the moral guardians of us all?

I didn't vote for that but I am certainly now paying for it - as we all are.

Thanks for attending my TED Talk - again.

I'm erased from Twitter for life (so much for inclusivity) but delight in reading the comments. This one in particular:

"Just when you think things can't get any more unjust, along comes Britain's publicly-funded broadcaster to threaten the public for pointing out the injustice."

Well said that lady!

👏👏👏👏, I've also been a BBC supporter my whole life, no more, how dare they threaten women for stating biological truth and trying to safeguard womens sports, arseholes!

I've been incandescent with rage about this all feckin day - the BBC is supposed to be impartial, not a taxpayer funded propaganda service for genderology

I used to work for the BBC and back then it was something to be proud of even though it was old fashioned (it was a long time ago now) and really for the last 5-10 years it has slowly eroded to such a degree they have forgotten they are funded by the licence payer, renting out studios and talent (behind and in front of the camera) to pay colossal salaries to unworthy woke narcissistic shit bags. It was never particularly pro-women it’s never had many women in top positions and it’s always been jobs for the boys and it seems now it’s completely under the thrall of the trans ideology. I can only imagine they have been truly infected by stonewall. They owe women an apology for that shitty announcement today and they owe many more to gaslighting and failing to report properly over a host of other woke stories. They need to grow a backbone or step back. Either way they are not the hallmark of neutrality they once were (despite their patchy history re: a few isms they’d prefer to forget).

The BBCs latest hateful message appears to have been printed on loo roll which is appropriate seeing what they are spouting!

That's the way they responded to any allegations against Jimmy Savile so no change there.

My telly broke 4 years ago but I get by with YouTube, ITV hub, Channel 4 and a few other free platforms.

I fell out of love with the BBC years ago though.

#HateWontWin Oh stop it.... HateWontWin what? or why won't it win.

Stop with these virtual signalling tags … you're supposed to be journalists paid for by the public.

It’s not only using cringeworthy language, as if straight from the Ministry of Truth - label everything Hate, which is chilling enough, they’re also asking people, Stasi like, to report on people. Who signed this off have they gone mad?

What is this nonsense about calling the police? If I called the police in Waldo County, Maine, because I was misgendered or whatever, I would be treated politely while I was on the phone, then they would shriek with laughter after I hung up. The newspaper publishes phone calls to the police so readers can laugh themselves silly because someone complained that there was manure in the road (after a manure spreader went past their house). I have had some pretty serious confrontations with people and have never once thought of calling the cops.
