as a doctor, i can tell you that this is a serious action and will follow the bad doctor for the rest of his life. He may not be able to get registration in other countries or Europe because of it.
The more medical professionals explain what this seemingly beige punishment actually entails and what the long term impacts are, the more appropriate it seems. Thanks for adding perspective.
Europe might get over any ill feeling it has towards the UK because of Brexit, but they'll never forgive us if Harrop washes up on their shores because no one would employ him here.

This is a completely wrong use of "gender" because it conflates two different words and it causes terrible confusion and endless arguments about whether the writer should in fact have used to word for the biological, reproductive category of human beings SEX.". I talked for 3 minutes. He said that he would get back to me. He didn't.
He is a moderate, but limited lawyer. It takes real courage to analyse words critically, as JK Rowling has done. But then she understands the difference between reality and "magical thinking"!
I have written to my MP Chris Stephens of SNP. He will ignore me as he has been instructed to by Stonewall. The only thoughtful reply I have had was from Pauline McNeill Labour and I hadn’t even voted for her. My votes in future are going to be treated like gold dust.
This is so much more than the slap on the wrist it first appears. Yes, what he did to Caroline Farrow is criminal, but he is going to have to explain the suspension at every interview he has from here on in. And it is on the public record, so even if he gets a job, patients can check up on him, and might decide they don't want him as their doctor. It is in fact a great result... And may even make him think that he might not be in the right profession. We can but hope.

I'm a healthcare practitioner in Merseyside, this man is a disgrace and should not be allowed near a patient. So shameful an embarrassment to Scousers.
No, he has been suspended for a month, a length of time which I think initially people were disappointed with. But doctors here have explained it is a significant punishment and will affect the rest of his career. I also think he has not shown himself able to genuinely reflect and change his behaviour - so rooted as they seem to be in narcissistic traits - and they will be watching him.

Due to my and others' experiences, I am already fearful about the standards of U.S. doctors! They seem to be nonexistent.
