I’m sorry my initial response to this was that it was a homoeopathic level of justice. I said that from a position of ignorance. I now realise that this is a fantastic result for victims of Harrop. I still think he should go to jail for what he did to Caroline Farrow, but a month’s suspension is not just for Christmas, it’s on his record forever. So with any luck his influence over vulnerable children is at an end. My thanks to the GMC for taking this matter so seriously.

as a doctor, i can tell you that this is a serious action and will follow the bad doctor for the rest of his life. He may not be able to get registration in other countries or Europe because of it.
