We had our first pass (as in ‘they passed’) on the new sitcom—the first of many, I’m sure, given my current infamy—so having the safety net of this site is quite the anxiety-killer.
Hello everyone. Just joined, across from the occasion sewer that is Twitter. I am a very sarcastic, but hopefully humorous mole with a line in childishly silly, badly-stuffed animal memes. I hope I can contribute, help or perhaps just go to the bar for people if they are busy.
Welcome Here friend. Like I said on twitter, You won't stop having fun on Glinners page and feel free to talk, no need to be handmaidens here. You can scroll the comments on the page. Regulars post very nice one and ofocurse Graham, JL and team always find time to respond.
P.S I am partial to JL. She is my absolute favourite.
Thank you for everything you do, will never forget watching Father Ted after school and have rewatched it umpteen times since. And then of course the IT Crowd and Black Books as an adult. Never imagined in a million years that a comedy genius would be one of the few standing up for women but here we are. This fight has been at your own expense which in my book is the true definition of a hero. It's not something you do for personal gain or narcissism dressed up as activism like Aidan and the gang.
Anyway, sorry for the gushing message but thank you. Truly.
I also had a first pass today, on my novel...but onwards! Also - Aside from the fact this Glinner club shouldn't have to exist, I am delighted to be a member.
Thank you. Have you seen this? I was going to post it in the comments on Victoria Smith's article but I didn't want it to look like I was making light of the subject. One of my favourites... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGoRNg3qSH0
I took only a one month subscription to start with, but have signed up for more now. Loving being able to comment freely to people who are intelligent, decent and rational enough to get it. Love reading comments and having actual discussions not shrieking testerics from mentally unsound cult members. I hope you get a hundred thousand subscribers and they all sign up for a year.
Silly people. Don't they know you're the CEO of Sitcom School? I wouldn't worry... you can't cancel genius. Thanks for all you have done and all you continue to do.
I hope your work will wake up the woke - and the sooner the better, then you can return to concentrating on your great gift and we can return to enjoying it.
I’ll be honest and say I subscribed...80% because I was pissed off you were kicked off twatter and wanted to carry on following you - for EXCELLENT content I must say! 👍 And 20% because I was so glad to be able to demonstrate some thanks for the sheer delight your comedies have given me over the far-too-longs. I’m slightly disgusted C4 can show box sets on All4 and get advertising revenue and yet you don’t get royalties. ☹️ I watched the Dinner Party episode of The IT Crowd the other night and lolled a LOT. Yet again. The IT Crowd is my favourite, not a single even slightly lacking episode. Though Black Books "Grapes of Wrath" = sheer fecking genius. You’re a very clever man sir.
Mini-hagiography at an end. Thank you for the LOLs and the fight for what’s right x
Your work is far to good to ignore. They know that. I really wish I could send you money. Im still waiting on UC and things have never been so bad. Your newsletters brighten my day x
Hello Graham, I think what you are doing is fantastic. I decided to subscribe after the Ashton Challenor piece, all that info needs to be out there in one place and where it can't be deleted by social media companies.

gin and tonic please
Certainly sir. I assume not pink gin though? Perhaps a delightful gender-neutral gin?

Thank you! I'll be able to open up and be myself soon enough - when I get used to it all, I am sure. Cheers. Al

Black Books is actual genius. I have watched all the episodes and laughed myself sick time and again.

delighted to have you, Caroline x

Congratulations and well earned and deserved. So happy with the ongoings.
Hoping our family grows to the extent that one day we can kick twitter goodbye and make Glinners substack as main stream 👍

Oh wow - I've just seen the entirety of "The Work Outing" for the first time and I have to say that it's just brilliant!
The people passing on your new work will come to rue their petty decision making, I'm sure.
Work Outing is one of the finest episodes of comedy television ever made
thank YOU x
