"Pronouns in the e-mail signature". My CV doesn't even have my full name on it, because I discovered very quickly that E. J. Weir gets way more interviews and better offers than Ms. Emily Weir does. Hell, it's why J. K. Rowling is so called, publishers recommended she hide the fact she was a woman in order to sell more books. I'm not about to put "she/her" in my correspondence for the same reason.

In other news, the notion that trans people's 'poor mental health' is CAUSED by people using the wrong names and pronouns, to the point of claiming these things make people commit suicide (the implication of those self-harm reduction 'statistics') is ... Companies need to stop giving oxygen to these liars.

Thank goodness I am retired - I’ve worked in the civil service and local government so could easily have suffered one of these training sessions. I like to think that my feedback to the trainer and my employer after such a session would be that the training session made me feel unsafe, that I find the term cisgender offensive, that displaying the LGBT flag makes me feel unsafe as it is a political symbol and only reflects one viewpoint, and if they change to gender neutral toilets to make trans more comfortable they should provide single sex toilets so I can feel comfortable too.
It was exactly how I imagined and expected it to be. I wonder how many employees are being forced to endure this nonsense. It’s like the year 5’s have taken over the training. It’s all down to Stonewall of course. They are at the root of all of this, and the sooner they are defunded the better. Mermaids are just one their ‘branches’.

As I was reading I imagined myself at the session speaking up and correcting the trainer. It would be career suicide I suppose (and besides, I was always told to shut up at work; One of the many reasons I now enjoy being self employed)
