if the police could protect salman rushdie (due to the satanic verses book debacle) surely j k rowling needs extra protection because these men who are threatening violence/murder towards her (and women/feminists they deem to be terfs) have actual convictions for extreme violence. and to get economic about it - j k rowling's work brings in a lot of money in tax and also tourists to the uk, whereas these men who threaten her and gc people, cost the taxpayers thousands due to keeping them in jail/on probation (plus unnecessary hormones/surgeries?). maybe gender critical people need to talk to the taxpayers alliance?
Last week my place of work was asking colleagues to wear rainbow colours to support Pride. I'm very torn, I have such empathy for people genuinely oppressed, but I just cannot get behind the current pride stuff that has been brainwashed and appropriated. Seemed like a lot of virtue-signalling.
