After the Orlando Nightclub Massacre in 2016 (in which a gunman in Orlando, Florida went into a gay nightclub and opened fire, which resulted in 49 deaths) I saw Owen Jones interviewed as part of a panel on a BBC programme. He was agitated and kept telling the other panellists that they didn't understand the tragedy because they're not gay.

I think of that whenever I see him telling women that they aren't the experts on what women need.

I wonder if Owen ever investigated the truth about the Pulse shooters motives. https://greenwald.substack.com/p/the-enduring-false-narrative-about

OJ wouldn't dare take JCJ on in a honest debate - she'd wipe the floor with him and he knows it.

I'd love to see it though.

Classic Jones re "what incels think about trans people". He conveniently chooses to ignore that it's entirely feasible for incels to *be* trans, as Glinner's piece illustrated yesterday.

In fact, Transbians are the new incels.

Brilliant and rightfully angry. Hear hear. Wonderful.

And Helen's sleuthing - thank you. The moment I read Owen's words I heard that phrase I've heard thousands of times thundering through my head. It's teenage. Men's ultimate put down. Often used by women to describe other women as if you can't beat them you join them and we all live in a misogynistic soup. Why is it always how we look, not the words we say, or how intelligent we are or what we do. How strong, caring, capable and kind we are. There are such a small group of women allowed to open their mouth in OwenWorld, and most of them seem to be stunning and brave men.

Women must appear 'put together', smooth and polished. Unchallenging. Understandable. Predictable. Controllable. No blue stockings. Perpetually young, carefree, suitable, natural and beautiful and relaxed, and without trying too hard (that's a real no no). Acceptably so. Viewed as attractive to men like Owen. Never human or real. Or never quite like men enough? What is it? It's suffocating and dehumanising. We're not some alien species. Hasn't Owen read up on the male gaze? Is he going to come out with the earth shattering revelation that he wouldn't 'do' that either? Oh, no, of course not, he's gay, I forgot as he never tells us. We get it.

I have a neighbour a few doors down, who often stands in his front garden...and he used to always smile at me when I first move here...albeit his eyes, immediately, fixated on my boobs...Now, I wear very loose clothing, so as not to draw attention to my EEK! size boobs, but he spotted them anyway. When he realised I was not only intelligent, but bloody angry about a lot of things, political, having my State Pension stolen for 6 yrs, (1950s women) and that I could rant for England, nay, the world, right there on the pavement, swearing like a trooper about politicians too, his Boob Obsession began to wane, as in his stunted mind, women aren't supposed to have brains, let alone put them on display WAY more than our boobs. Inside, I was chuckling, as I knew it drove him mad....Teeheehee...I showed him my new Suffragette Ribbons on my Shepherd's Walking Stick t'other day and told him all about Transworld and how I, as a woman, wasn't standing for it ANY longer, never doing what men tell me to do...You could see the desperate desperation in his eyes, that he wanted to run indoors and bolt the door, EEK sized chest or not, but he couldn't, as his mate was there, who didn't look at my chest, but who was looking at my face and actually having a conversation with me, as he agreed the world's gone mad.... I iz a Wicked Ol' Lassie, and I LOVE it. lol

"Look at the state of you!" was what my abusive ex husband would say when I'd dressed nicely and put make up on. It had the desired effect of making me lose confidence

Awh thank you. Can't say it didn't do damage but it was a long time ago and I'm good.

I only wrote that to illustrate the fact that Owen is trying to belittle these three intelligent women.

I miss JCJ's threads, but not the Twitter cesspool. She is, as usual, spot on regarding Little Owen. It would would hilarious if he dared to invite her to his YouTube channel to have a conversation, but he won't.

"Just look at the state of this....." Ah yes, my ex-husband used to say "Just look at the state of that!" when driving, if he saw a woman he didn't think much of. Lordy! I stayed and stayed, because we had children....you DO stay as long as you can when you have children...Then, one day I just woke up and thought to myself, "I can't do this ANY longer..." ....and that was that. Damn hard to get my life sorted out, total nightmare, but I will NEVER have to listen to that expression again. Absolutely misogynistic of Jones to keep using that, but that's what he thinks of women, he HATES us with a loathing he can't even see that he has. He makes me shudder with revulsion.
