She is angry and it is raw - and has every right - 36,000 girls waiting to have their healthy breasts removed cos theyve been brainwashed - its a crime that is being played out before our eyes.
It's honestly horrifying how the world has come to see breasts as these nasty disposable things. That photo of the surgeon holding up buckets labelled "breast tissue"... even doctors don't seem to know or care that breasts are parts of a human being, not balloons that are useless if they aren't on display for men.
I weep for the children who wake up the day after they lose their health along with their healthy body parts. The lifelong physical PAIN. 3600... Wow! Couldn't we send them all invitations to come to the women's island being organized, and have a big cosplay and invite all the women who had embraced being a "tradesman" rather than a "TomBoy" which was a proud label in my youth, and had changed their minds for whatever reason and decided to change back. It is a freaking nightmare. I've only read a couple of their blogs, but so upsetting. Male and Female children who had no concept of what post surgery would be like. "What have I done to myself?" isn't a question a 21 year old should be asking. A hard way to wake up from being "woke."
I think Elliot (was Ellen) Page has set a very dangerous precedent with the pics of their newly masculinised (is that a word?) body. Elliot will have spent a pretty penny to get those results. I would rather these girls look very carefully at all the botch jobs instead. And there are a tonne of them. That's more likely the reality of what they face going through the NHS.
I know we've all been saying much of the same but what a great take, especially from a former member of Stonewall. It's so passionate and eloquent. Thank you for bringing this to us.
I listened to Kate and then ended up going back to the start and listening to the whole thing. Really interesting that the majority of speakers were critical of Stonewall which, I presume, reflects the view of the majority of those on the call. But how disingenuous of the Stonewall woman to repeat the misrepresentation that their critics don’t believe that trans people do (or should) exist? Hopefully the mendacity is becoming easier to spot.
So grateful to all the activists, but especially my Lesbian sisters who have been fighting such a lonely battle for years before the rest of us knew what was going on. So many women are in your debt. Bless you all and thank you.
It is interesting that Jan Gooding, in her response, mentioned the respect we have to have for trans people a number of times, but did not refer to the respect that we should have for women. She speaks like a politician. Her own agenda come first and don't under any circumstances, answer the questions. Trans people in this country are entitled to the same human rights as everyone else. No more, no less. But so are women and lesbian women. She doesn*t seem to understand to be trans, there need to be natal/biological. So transwomen cannot be women and transmen cannot be men. If they were, there is no need for GRC, GRA or the title "trans".
Well said! Gender ideology is ruining the lives of young people, girls in particular, coerced into hating their female bodies and adopting the label ‘trans’ or ‘non-binary’. Stonewall and lgbt Scotland guidance for schools is awful. And teachers are afraid to question all this ideology for fear of not being ‘accepting’ or ‘woke’. So thankful for all the voices here and in every LGB alliance for speaking out 👊🏼
True she didn't get much time, but where was Jan (Gooding?)s answer to the question as to why Keira Bell got no support from Stonewall?. Can we expect it in a follow up message?
I found Jan's contribution to be rather disingenuous on the whole. And the TRA who spoke for about ten minutes focused almost entirely on themself.
I was heartened to hear so much criticism of Stonewall, but given Jan has no role there I doubt very much that it will change.
To answer the question posed in the session, gay people are very much better off without Stonewall. They have sold us down the river in favour of gender identity ideology and queer theory. It's time for them to go.
Jan's summing up at the end shows just how far down the rabbit hole she is in her thinking. She isn't prepared to listen to people's very real concerns, preferring to dismiss what everyone has said to challenge her; then trotting out the utter bullshit about trans people being as old as humanity and using "queer communities" without realising how offensive the word 'queer' is to a lot of us.
Really disappointing to hear Jan reinforce Stonewall’s entrenched position at the end. It’s clear that they don’t want debate; they want us to capitulate. And we won’t
Going beyond the EA10 / beyond of ahead (as they phrased it - Stonewall and the Labour Party, I was a member of the latter but couldn’t cope with their embrace of TWAW and stance on self ID) of the law = being outside the law = illegal. In anyone’s book. As brilliantly and finally spelled out by the excellent barrister Akua Reindorf in her review for Essex Uni. How did it happen that 850 organisations, government departments national and local, corporate organisations and education, police services, the NHS ffs, etc etc, how did they all get so easily sucked in? To get their Diversity Champion badges??? At a cost not to be sneezed at. At least the Blue Peter badges were free!!
Where was the oversight, the scrutiny in any of those HR depts?? What a phenomenal lack of integrity or common sense by any and all of those people. How gleeful it must have been at Stonewall HQ!! They really lucked out.
How did they all get so easily sucked in? In a nutshell, attaching the T to LGB. Hoping no one would see how little they have in common, but instead dupe them into seeing trans rights as the next gay rights struggle. There's more to it of course but if you did a survey of average people on the street, they will assume gay and trans are practically interchangeable terms.
I'm transsexual and I support LGB Alliance.
TRA doesn’t have your best interests at heart. And neither does Stonewall.
Lovely to know

"There's a lot of things been attributed to Stonewall in the last half hour or so that are just simply not true..."
You...you realize that screenshots and archives exist, right Jan? Jan appears to have the critical thinking and listening capacity of a turnip.
In contrast to the LGB Alliance's searing reason and poise, her flailing is damning.

This is another moment that needs to preserved for the historians . . . thank you for capturing it.

Powerful words and not a scrap of hatred in them.
Thanks for linking to this, extremely powerful statement 🔥🔥

"So thankful for all the voices here and in every LGB alliance for speaking out" Aa heartily second this. And thank you Graham. 💕🏴

She's on fire. 🔥 I love it.

Interesting at around 11:00 she claims organisations wanted to know how to comply with the (Equality) Act, how to go beyond the Act."
😐 I daresay they've indeed tried to go beyond it, much to the detriment of women and children.
