I’m sorry to hear he genuinely didn’t know that women are harrassed on any pretext to silence, exploit and oppress them as a class. The only sadder thing is that women themselves don’t see it due to conditioning to accept the unacceptable and internalised misogyny we all get steeped in. It’s everywhere and overwhelming as is the evidence to us all and undeniable. Unfortunately it’s only after suffering it too much and in silence do women realise it isn’t them personally but because of their sex. The relief of self blame or blaming other powerless women (and a very few men) is equal only to the horror of how women and often their children are treated universally to maintain the patriarchy and just how cunning and evil it’s faces are.
I had a civilised argument this morning on my FB page with a woman friend who was defending the ideology (her daughter has a trans friend). A male friend of mine posted examples of on-line trans misogyny. Her response? She reckons that many of those are by women posing as trans to discredit the trans movement. She's a nice person normally so I think she got that poison from her bloody daughter but I'm so angry.
I have the pleasure of knowing Birdy personally and we live in same small town - this shameful and targeted harassment has been going on for a long time and now its time for these pathetic self absorbed narcissists to be called out on their appalling vindictive attacks on Birdy knowing that sex is observed at birth, men's feelings are not paramount and that only same sex attracted people are homosexuals.
That these bullies think THEY are on the right side of history I cannot get my head around. Their idea that freedom of expression is conditioned around agreeing with them 'no discussion no debate' is beyond nonsensical.
The hate campaign against Birdy Rose and her chap is sinister and cowardly like all trans activism. It seems to have amped up more with the genius #nothankyou reply and Birdy's subsequent genius art response. Another small yet profound victory that seems to have hit a raw nerve with the TRAs.
I do think Gender Critics are making some inroads with each legal victory and then Joan Smith is sacked for voicing concerns around women's safety in refuges and I am in pain as a woman fearing the destruction of her sex all over again.

I'll be honest, I know nothing about transmen identifying as gay men, but whether or not they do, these people are definitely not TERFs.

It just takes one person with many pages to create the feeling for others that they've entire group of nutcases out there who are against them. These sock accounts, as many will know, will even interact with each other, to give the impression of unity and strength in their foul outlook.
They are horrible, foul cowards and most will disappear into a puddle of fear if they were ever confronted by those they anonymously attack.
Birdy is a superb artist and I have much respect for she and Doozer's strong outlook and courage. I send them both my love.
Birdy does really good interviews too. My favourite is with Dom Armstrong (ex Green Party), and I also loved the Beth Stelzer (Save Women's Sports) one. I have 4 Birdy vests, which I am wearing in rotation. I love 'em!
