Something they ought to consider is this. They know Gender Ideology is nonsense the same as we do. They've stood back and let this madness progress knowing full well that when it blows they can just walk away, claiming their good intentions were abused. They're going to let it run to a crisis instead of doing what I believe professionals and other people in privileged positions - the great and good - should do: use their knowledge, power, connections and influence to guide our society for the benefit of all.
The general public will indeed peak. A wave of revulsion at another Karen White, horror when people reveal their child was sterilised and mutilated against their will, botched surgeries, good people kicked out of jobs for telling the truth, more allies outed as paedophiles, another child attacked by a man in a space for women, women who've been raped forced to call their attacker "she" etc. When they do, the backlash will most likely be savage and indiscriminate. People who really don't deserve it will be caught up as well as those who do.
People in the media, academia, politics, public services could have prevented us getting to this point just by doing their jobs. They didn't. They stood by silently as those among them who did do the right thing were hounded out of their careers, or, worse, joined the braying mob themselves.

From benchmarks for competition qualification in sports being skewed to incidence of cervical cancer (and much, much more), the interests, health and well-being of real, biological women will be marginalised.
Culturally, we will see a move to segregation within single sex spaces and the physical cover-up of women and girls. The responsibility to avoid being a ‘victim’ of predators and perverts will be placed on women and children. Not that it’s ever truly been any different.
Falsifying statistics around the biological sex of paedophiles may have consequences for safeguarding children I don’t even want to think about.
