The word ‘gender’ has lost all meaning.

Any ‘law’ using the word ‘gender’ is meaningless.

We must protect the word ‘sex’.

Or all is lost.

I posted this extract on Facebook. It's something succinct we could all use to refute the gender ideologues, fetishists, deviants and perverts.

Samtökin 22 – Watchdog for LGB rights Iceland — was founded a little over a year ago.

We will share our ideas and we will participate in dialogues and debates based on accurate and clear definitions. We use the scientific and legal definition of homosexuality as a sexual orientation towards the same sex. Bisexuality is sexual orientation towards both sexes.

We understand that sex is binary; female and male. For most people, the sex is determined at conception, observed at birth or in the womb and recorded accordingly. We reject the idea that extremely rare cases of atypical sex characteristics, DSD/Intersex conditions puts the idea of the sex binary into dispute.

We support women´s reproductive rights and bodily autonomy.

We support lesbians who reject the pressure to allow males into their spaces and accepting males who claim they are women as sexual partners. And vice versa for gay men.

Another matter; Check the following out if it's still up

Excellent manifesto, succinct and powerful. Keeping it simple is the way to go. Truth only needs simplicity.

re. your link. The 'queering' of safeguarding has allowed the hellish demons of perversity to come to the surface -- they've always been there. Only now they're out in the open, and people have to acknowledge the depths of depravity. Let's just hope that by now we've now dented bottom.

That is seriously vile , those who thought this up , those who manufactured it , and those who advertise it need to be seriously investigated

It's great to find simple and fundamentally true statements like "Disagreement is not hate. It's democracy. " here. We need more of this kind of clear thinking.

Thanks for this. Glad to see new institutional support for LGB rights as legacy orgs are becoming corrupted beyond redemption.

The entire country of Iceland has about the same population as Riverside, California (= about the same as Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England), so, things could change really quickly there to say the very least. Definitely worth keeping an eye on...

That is a beautifully clear and concise manifesto. It states in no uncertain terms that they are based in scientific reality, and that they are not overly limiting who they will work with. Samtökin 22 will be a force to reckon with.

I’m probably putting this in the wrong thread but it’s beyond belief how much depravity were expected to accept

I accept none of it !

I'm happy for that to be attached to my post. You are quite correct.

The very best wishes for your new organisation. You are right to focus on the simple truth. If that isn’t enough to get us out of this mess, then I despair.

Wonderful!

The TRA are not satisfied until they destroy the LGB Alliance because they know that to validate what Samtökin 22 is proclaiming negates much of what trans ideology is based on. Their current mode of defense is to state that the LGBA is made up of straights so they have no standing in any debate. Misinformation is the tool of their success.

Best of luck to them

“Disagreement is not hate. Its democracy. We do not engage or support in hateful conduct.”

Perhaps someone should tell the TRAs.

I foolishly dipped my toe into the quagmire of trans-theory and found this:

https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/zizeks-transgender-trouble/

I actually attempted to go through this article bit by bit to trace all the absurdities but it became too exhausting. And note how, like all such embarrassing sophomoric drivel, it goes on and on and on. So some “highlights”:

We read about “the binary-gendered bathroom line”, i.e. the regularly divided partition into male and female, which is “already made affectively intense by its operation as a gauntlet — the military and NYPD assembled with machine guns and dogs scanning for threats of terror underneath American flags.”

Yes, you read that right. A regular toilet made out to be some kind of new Auschwitz.

“It was not me whom they read as a threat, though; it was an older nontrans white woman. She had decided to merge into the men’s room line because it was shorter. When she entered the threshold of the “men’s room,” the cis men in the bathroom — all white — protested: “Get her out of here!””

“Men’s room” in scare quotes as if “men” were not a legitimate designation at all and must be replaced with “cis-men” WITHOUT scare quotes! Furthermore note the tacky woke point scoring: these “cis-men” are (oh horror!) ALL WHITE!

It would be tedious to continue with this. So I’ll cut to the chase: “sexual difference” – the undeniable basis of all human reproduction – is taken to be some kind of fraud foisted on a “naturally trans population”. And this beleaguered “natural trans” contingent are apparently linked to (i.e. the same as) non-whites victimised by a colonial power. Yes really.

One giveaway comes in the stress on the history of “theory and praxis” at the expense of any record of the supposed real-life experience of actual trans people. That is because such people DO NOT EXIST. What DOES exist are those academic theorists spreading this fog throughout the media – with, of course, the help of voluminous funding.

The writer, Che Gossett, is “a Black trans femme writer and para academic theory queen”.

The description continues:

“THEY are the recipient of the 2014 Gloria E. Anzaldúa Award from the American Studies Association and the 2014 Sylvia Rivera Award in Transgender Studies from the Center for Gay and Lesbian Studies at the City University of New York. THEY have published work on blackness and animality on the Verso Press blog and have also contributed to Queer Necropolitics, The Trans Studies Reader Volume II, Captive Genders, and forthcoming anthologies. THEIR website is: chegossett.wordpress.com

I presume that “they” are schizophrenic.

I'm going to plug the Parliamentary petition posted by Maya Forstater of Sex-Matters one more time. We need LESS THAN 6,000 SIGNATURES to reach 100,000: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/623243 "Update the Equality Act to make clear the characteristic “sex” is biological sex "

Let's get this over the line. Over to all you lovely supporters of Graham Linehan. Thank you!

Thanks, Graham. Samtokin sound great.

Check out the proposal to, effectively, take the word 'woman' out of the Irish Constitution! I have done a post on it. This time around the Terven need to get their act together in Ireland ( unlike it going under the radar in 2015 re the gender recogniton act)..

Someone to invite on a 'Mess', for sure.

It'd be interesting (though probably very familiar and unsurprising) to hear about the situation in Iceland.

All power to them!
