The #ShameOnSussexUni tag is a great demonstration of how transphobes spread disinformation. They claim Stock is having her name burnt, their “proof” being someone with a sign standing near a flare, and then the dominant narrative becomes “burnt effigies”, despite no evidence.

What these men have in common is that they have all failed at the only difficult thing they ever set out to do, and for the last few years, they have been taking their resentment out on women. Dave Chappelle nailed the misogyny of this movement, even pinpointed what feminists and their allies have been pointing out for years.

But it’s not only cross-dressing grifters like Charles Chlymer, Aimee Challenor, and Morgane Omar who have been empowered, it’s these sociopathic Joker-types without the jokes, the League of Failed Comedians. They thought they could climb a ladder made of the careers of funnier people. But Chappelle—along with JK Rowling, Maya Forstater, Posie Parker and others— has made everyone a little braver, and the days of these bullies running the schoolyard are numbered.
