The girl who couldn't breastfeed her baby breaks my heart. It's so hard to conceive when your younger why on earth you'd care about this. Even when I was pregnant I was iffy about breastfeeding. But the bonding, the nutrition for the baby, there are lots of reasons I decided to nurse. Taking away that choice from a teenager? Lock every single one of those butchers up and throw away the key.

Actually, I've decided I'm furious about this. You can't get a f***ing tattoo without a parent's permission. You can't buy a 30 rack of bud light. You can't vote. You can't drive. You couldn't get a nose job. Couldn't pierce your mother *"-#&$$$#$ ears at gd Claire's in the f***ing mall without a parent on board. No one's burning them down and spewing nonsense about bodily autonomy. But they're giving 16 years olds full steam ahead to saw off their body parts like they're getting a gd haircut at leatherface's macabre salon. Ffffffffdfdd.

Feels good to let it out. I might go scream into a pillow.

Too fucking right! What’s interesting, I have a friend who works for a children’s charity (like social services), and I’ll never forget her telling me that if they see a child with pierced ears this is raised as a red flag as potential abuse. I mean, I really don’t approve of piercing young children’s ears but would I be calling social work for it? Probably not. Yet my friend would very likely support all the associated surgeries and hormones being prescribed to kids in the name of transgenderism. I really must probe her on the ear piercing thing. It’s absurd. But Covid means you never bloody see or speak to anyone these days!

Just want to make sure you heard about Christoph Elston being attacked by trans activists in Montreal last night. They kicked him in the head and broke his arm because he dares to have public conversations with people about children and puberty blockers. If I may be so bold, I think he would be a great candidate for The Mess We're In. He is amazing to talk to. I spent an afternoon with him at University of Victoria, and the way he communicates with people is masterful.

"Hormone Hangover" is on substack:

"Hello, I’m Grace! This blog is about detransition, gender care in America, and the broader gender wars. I’m interested in this because I’m a detransitioned woman. After several years as a low-effort nonbinary person, I transitioned in 2017. After a double mastectomy and hormones, I realized that things had gone terribly wrong. I will talk more about my personal de/transition experiences here as well.

Thank you for coming, pull up a chair - and tell me, do you want to know how I got no boobs?"
