I injected testosterone for 4 and a half years
I underwent a double mastectomy
I lived as a trans man for over 5 years
I regret having done so
I am a woman who detransitioned
And I'm not the only one.

i identified as trans for 5 years, and took testosterone for 17 months. i began detransitioning february 2018.
it was a way to cope with my trauma and body hatred.
3 years later i’m thankful to TRULY live authentically, no longer running from myself.

I transitioned FtM with testosterone injections and a double-mastectomy.
It was a bandaid for deeper pain, and I regret it.
Detransition was humbling and healing for me.
I'm so glad to have found hard-won peace and acceptance for myself as a woman.

Self portrait with bottle and formula I had to use to feed my son, because "chest feeding" doesn't exist. No breasts, no milk. I learned this the hard way. A mastectomy isn't a hair cut. I want to spare future mothers and babies what we went through if I can.

The girl who couldn't breastfeed her baby breaks my heart. It's so hard to conceive when your younger why on earth you'd care about this. Even when I was pregnant I was iffy about breastfeeding. But the bonding, the nutrition for the baby, there are lots of reasons I decided to nurse. Taking away that choice from a teenager? Lock every single one of those butchers up and throw away the key.
Just want to make sure you heard about Christoph Elston being attacked by trans activists in Montreal last night. They kicked him in the head and broke his arm because he dares to have public conversations with people about children and puberty blockers. If I may be so bold, I think he would be a great candidate for The Mess We're In. He is amazing to talk to. I spent an afternoon with him at University of Victoria, and the way he communicates with people is masterful.
