Very very disappointed with Mark Steel, I would have expected better. Just what on earth is he thinking?

I can't ever get twitter working for some reason - how is this nonsense going down?

I dread any comedian, actor, muscian, author etc whose work I admire coming out with any such nonsense. And I'm also disappointed that so many comedians - particularly women who, in the past, have ranted about 'smashing the patriachy', feminism and recounted many a tale of mysoginy - have nothing to say on this. Or, worse, have jumped on the woo-woo bandwagon. Gutting, actually. . .

I've been reading Stephen King since I was 11. I somehow managed to forget his group of pre teen boys gang banging a pre pubescent girl scene at the end of IT (strangely never made it into the movie), and was genuinely horrified years later to rediscover it.

I ignored his grotty misogynistic/sexist/and sleazy dialogue/plots throughout the years by telling myself that those are characters, not necessarily a reflection of his own thoughts. The truly grotesque attacks on women in the original uncut edit of the book The Stand, the horrific rape fantasies in Apt Pupil, the horrifically detailed child rape in The Library Policeman and more. I ignored my own mantra - people show you who they are all the time, believe them.

And then he retweeted JK Rowling's discussing women's voices. But the instant some gynophpobes started in with the testerical screeching threw her completely under the bus by chanting the men are women mantra.

In 2017 he and his son had written a (rather dreary but well meaning) book outlining just how violent men as a sex are called Sleeping Beauties. He certainly seemed to understand that men aren't women and don't behave like women when he helped write that.

Am I saying he's a rapist? No, I've no reason to think he is, although if credible evidence emerged saying he is I would not be shocked.

But his work reflects his choice to view women as non humans without human rights. Since he threw Joanne Rowling under the bus I've avoided him completely. I know it doesn't matter to him, but I will never buy another of his books. And when I think about the pre pubescent gang bang scene, as I do whenever I think of King these days, I shudder.

The comments under his nonsensical tweet are overwhelmingly "Izzard's a bloke and you're talking shite mate". Though soon enough the Twitter Stasi will arrive to start suspending accounts and only the few handmaidens and misogynists in the cheer section will be allowed to speak.

Most reassuring, thanks for taking the time to report back.

I wonder what his friend Liz Smith would have made of it, she didn't seem one to suffer fools. I really thought Mark was more grounded than this.

"Whose Body is It" interviews Jennifer Bilek about Transhumanism and Autogynephilia on December 18th, 2020 here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLbmq2oP9994A7aYJGw6_aw

I would label this interview as "Do not miss" FWIW.

My personal opinion is he is experiences autogynephilia, considering he discusses frightening teenage girls in toilets long ago. The problem with sexual fetishes of any kind is that you have to keep upping the ante to keep the penis from wilting. Now he's power pissing in ladies toilets, knowing full well he's frightening women. Forcing women to tolerate their dress up is one way AGP men get off.

This tweet sums it up. https://twitter.com/TrilliumRose/status/1340850646933794816

As Voltaire said “Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities." Like handing over female toilets, change rooms, rape shelters, political positions and achievements to predatory males.

I'm amazed you were able to sift through the garbage Google spoon feeds us about WARTs and figure out the true stats. WARTs and predators who use the idealogy for their advantage do everything they can to obfuscate the fact that almost nobody is harming men in dresses, and that in fact men who say they're trans are the ones doing the harming of women.

This site keeps a track of men who identify as trans and commit crimes then claim they're women in the UK. http://transcrimeuk.com/ - there don't appear to be similar sites for Aus/Canada/USA, but if anyone knows of links please share.

Re the schoolgirl, I feel sick to my stomach for that poor girl. Her life has been indelibly made much shittier, her memories etched with trauma forever, for no reason at all. They gave a green light to a predator, and they knew they were doing it. Everyone. Literally everyone. Involved in that decision knew it was dangerous and understood why we have safe spaces for females. If that was my daughter there would be a reckoning, and not just for the rapist, for every adult involved in giving him predatory access to females.

Gendered brains were debunked years ago. A couple of years ago, when the Guardian used to sometimes give a nod to not being complete and total misogynists (though their comment sections always were, a main reason I dumped them a decade ago never to return) they published this piece by an actual scientist.

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2019/feb/24/meet-the-neuroscientist-shattering-the-myth-of-the-gendered-brain-gina-rippon

I'd never heard of Mark Steel, and having read that thread I shall consign him to the dustbin of memory. He sounds like rather a twat bag though.

A couple of cans of spray paint in the hands of a nimble runner with a hoodie would sort that Hammersmith shite out. Not that I'm suggesting anyone break the law, heaven forfend, just a passing thought.

Watch important new(ish) YouTuber "Whose Body is It" interview inspirational Irishwoman Alix Haron about the Truth about Planned Parenthood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJg-TnydsSs

Planned Parenthood is the biggest single distributor of masculinizing hormone "treatment" on the planet and does so, of course, using the double-speech term "informed consent". The institutional capture there has been complete for some years now.

Expand full comment

BTW: it's both noteworthy and shameful (IMO) that one of the mothers who contacted Haron about PP's scandalous treatment model had the extraordinary and frightening experience of her underage daughter being given cross-sex hormones after having wandered into a Planned Parenthood off the street on a whim decided to get a testosterone Rx because she was *bored*😨

And of course, aside from the fact that trans identified men are NOT a vulnerable group under attack and afraid for their lives, and are NOT being murdered in droves (unlike the ongoing femicide worldwide, but hey that's only women so who cares) is that those few men who identified as trans and were murdered were NOT murdered because they were trans.

https://mercatornet.com/the-transgender-murder-epidemic-that-never-was/68295/

Men are not going around murdering and attacking men who identify as trans. Women certainly aren't. The fact that trans identified men have been getting away with pushing this fiction for years is frankly incredible.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: you can no more be born with the wrong brain in your body than you can be born with a wrong kidney in your body. Your brain is an organ. When we pretend that the brain is a nebulous misty thing, it delegitimizes mental illness, making it harder to name and treat.

Expand full comment

these claims about 'wrong brain' also arise from a series of series of false assumptions:

that the are typical male and female brain structures

that complex ideas such as gender identity arise from these structures

that these structures are determined during development by genetics and hormones

each of those steps is pretty tenuous by itself. The number of people will tell you there is a 'scientific' consensus that all three are true is ridiculous.
