A reasonable, excellent, well-worded letter. Will Amazon take heed of this evidenced, detailed communication, or will it bend to the loud, unpleasant rhetoric of activists?

I admit, I am not confident it will be the former.

I suspect Amazon will just ignore this particular social media TRA tantrum. Not for any moral reason, but simply because they are big enough not to be affected.

Hi! No, it's not one of mine actually!

And I can't remember the Twitter user who created it either, I am afraid.

Ms/Mr Mole (not in that way!), could we please have a 'top trumps' style cards for transface and all that goes with it (eg head tilt/filters)? I see Lisa (Godblesstofu) has stirred the hornet's nest and all I could think of was yelling 'transface'!

I can't quite tell if these people who 'attack' her are all being ironic or are totally humourless. Or mad. Maybe they're just mad.

Hello! Well, that's a decent idea! Sound like a lot of work though, if you don't mind me saying!

More Fingal O'Flahertie Wills please :-). Loved it by the way, if that was you.

I am sorry, that is lost in me.. so, no - not me!

Someone's you/not you on Twitter then - it was an image of Oscar Wilde and Mr P and the only thing worse than being talked about quote.

Expand full comment

Oh, no!! It was indeed mine! I apologise! I had no idea that 'Fingal O'Flahertie Wills' were Wilde's middle three names! *gasps*

Yes, that was my meme - I made it a few weeks ago.

You see, I was 'advised' (in a nice friendly way) that perhaps it may be prudent for me and others to rein it in somewhat over the p***-taking and jokes regarding said ligamentophobe otherwise known as 'Mr. X at bus stop'.

I had, however, noticed a lot of people retweeting my graphical parody of an IMDB page today - a creation from earlier this year.

I felt that because this innocent graphic was not in any way 'problematic', that I should 'release it into the wild', so to speak.

So, I did! And that is what you saw... And I like it and I htink it is apt and not insulting in any way all...

So yes, it was ME!

Well written. Yeah ,I am a straight woman ,married for 51 years to the same man ,and I donated to the LGB ALLIANCE 2 days ago.!! They should have the support of EVERY right thinking person . The real hate group is the LGBT ,as demonstrated by their own actions even as they deny it !! The lies they tell and the misinformation they spread is preposterous and their misogyny is laid bare for all to see with every " decree " they bring forth and every demand they make

I'm the same as you and have done the same as you. I would also recommend to anyone to read the Lesbian and Gay News publication. Their journalism is top class.

Hear hear. Am straight but really like their journalism.

Little doubt now this is a coordinated homophobic campaign, using trans rights as a shield. I wonder who would benefit from that…?

I would imagine Amazon takes a neutral stance here. They're very good at business and won't want to take a side. If they do, they will likely go with the one with more general public support.

How has Paisley attacked them?

It seems like (although I can't get proof because I can't find company details) he is somehow connected to LGBTGlitterati thing (basically T Glitterati), which likely explains his stance.

They look like a merch seller at the moment but it looks like the plan is to get into activism, and especially T oriented stuff (probably because they see a market here).

They are a trading name of Together LGBTQ (I can't find details for them anywhere either. Is it even legal to have a company with no available contact details?).

They seem to specialise in tank tops with really bad fits and printing that looks like it won't survive a wash!

An eloquently reasoned fact based request. It will be interesting to see how Amazon responds. 🤞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

With apologies to those sharing a surname with that idiot but, why is it that all my life, whenever discussing any prominent bod called 'Paisley', I've always prefixed it with 'that c**t' - some things just don't change.

Yesterday ,2nd September , David Paisley told his " story " to the Daily Record ,claiming that he has been subjected to " vile " anti LGBTQ abuse and is being driven out of Scotland because of it. They printed his story in full ( obviously without bothering to check its veracity ,which they rarely do ) ,but have never once mentioned this issue and it's implications for women and children !! Typical , and shows you what side they're on !!

He needs to be doing something to keep him in the public eye as nobody knows who he is or what he does or actually cares. He is a lovey who is not loved by the general populace so has to be loved by the TRA community. Maybe his mother didn't love him enough or a sibling/cousin stole his dummy. But whatever happened, he needs to show his petted lip as much as he can wherever he can so he knows someone somewhere cares.

All a bit sad for a grown man!
