There was a moment on twitter during Irish Repeal the 8th (abortion) referendum when Colm was asked by someone to use the term 'pregnant people' and he accepted this, noting that there was no legal reason to exclude transmen from the debate. Someone else tweeted to the effect that this was so niche a concern that, on this particular issue, the focus should be on biological women. He retweeted this. Once abortion passed, he chose the path of least resistance.
You've got to admit he shows willing, though. Given that the London High Court of Justice ruled the other day that the long-term effects of blockers are not yet established, Colm is obviously trying to provide some experimental data of his own.
