See also Bel Mooney in DM today with an article headlined The Deletion of Womanhood (worth a read). These are the choices you get if you sign up with Relate for relationship counselling.

'There was a form requiring people to choose a gender from the following: ‘Male, Female, NA, Androgyne, Androgynous, Bigender, Cis, Cisgender, Cis Female, Cis Male, Cis Man, Cis Woman, Cisgender Female, Cisgender Male, Cisgender Man, Cisgender Woman, Female to Male, FTM, Gender Fluid.’

As she say, what the hell is the difference between cis male and cis men, unless they're extending relationship services to include animals! I read it out to my OH and he said he genuinely didn't know what anything apart from options 1 and 2 meant.

Not exactly on topic, but this article from the latest issue of The Economist is pretty good, as it focuses on the potential adverse effects of puberty blockers - osteoporosis, potential cognitive damage, err, preventing puberty etc - and references the Keira Bell court case. It also raises a proverbial eyebrow over the proliferation of gender dysphoria clinics in the US and questions whether puberty blockers actually do any good in terms of treating gender dysphoria. The Economist is usually behind a paywall but you should be able to read a few articles a month without registering:
