I'm sorry you feel like this, Drea. I'm the author of The Week in the War on Women and the Good News Supplement. Being based in the UK, it's inevitable that the majority of stories will be UK-based. However, I do try to include a range of items from all of the countries affected by gender ideology, especially the USA, Canada, Australia and NZ. This week's War on Women, for example, includes an item from Montreal.
Albeit only briefly, I did cover Health Canada issuing a warning about the labelling of Lupron (to reflect the risk of intracranial hypertension in pediatric patients). I also covered the Yanniv story in an edition of the Good News Supplement and remember picking out the most damning descriptions of him from the judgement to accompany the article. As a fellow Canadian, I am not so sensitive to criticism. I welcome it. We are totally captured, top to bottom in every province, and at the federal level too. We witnessed all political parties cave to the disingenuous 'Conversion Therapy Ban' legislation. Rarely a disparaging word about the cult of 'gender' ideology anywhere in any Canadian media. And yesterday's depressing announcement about an 'Lgbt/eternalalphabet' Action Plan. We are in deep doo doo because -- instead of the government doing proper homework -- they are in thrall to ideological indocrinators/advisors, one of them being the infamous woman-hater Morgane Oger, shudder.
Now we have even more complications and more difficulty in unravelling the mess that is 2SLGBTneverending+. Notice the government puts 2S front and centre. 'Two Spirit', an 'indigenous' term only recently coined, a term that can take on many meanings -- gay or 'trans' or 'non binary' or 'gender fluid'. It's a mess. So Canadian guilt about the historical mistreatment of First Nations peoples comes into play here. And nobody wishes to offend or speak out. So we have political correctness within political correctness, nested like Russian dolls. Yet, at the same time, Canadian ignorance and silence and failure to fight the 'gender' cult is allowing an inordinate number of indigenous children in 'care' to be 'transed'. More than is statistically probable because there are a lot of troubled kids in 'care' due to the ripple effects of the abuse heaped upon their communities in the past.

I think I saw some of the announcements and read some of it and had to stop it was so nonsensical. What is so hard to understand is the tumbling together of quite separate groups, with very different needs, in one whole progressive rainbowified block. What about the women raped and murdered in daylight? Yet it's men in dresses 'sometimes' afraid to walk home in the dark is it? Where are they pulling their unicorn stats from? Some really entrenched 'community figures' have created and pushed this.
The fast switch some countries with elements of Catholic underpinnings have done to this movement - they seem to have fallen for the new religion hardest. More guilt, more self-abasement to the new cause (oh and by the way sorry for all the abuses we committed and graves we keep finding).
One of the photos from the announcements showed all those politicians - they all were smartly dressed white men mostly over a certain age, all wearing the same blue politician suits, with the same smug expressions, yet telling us all this is for the black queer women. What a coup they've mastered.
To be fair- I'm pretty sure it was genuine LGB people who reclaimed the word 'Queer'. (Similar to some People Of Colour reclaiming the 'N-word'). These words then seemed to become more socially acceptable, if in certain contexts, and if used by people who had the right to use them. But language evolves- so other people began using these words with yet new connotations (eg. n-word in Gangsta or Rap context). It is understandable if a Gay person takes back control of the word 'Queer' in order to lessen the power of the word, take the sting out of the insult. But as you say, if straight hetero young couples hi-jack the word 'Queer' to make themselves look like genuine victims of discrimination, and to pretend to be more interesting or cool because they claim to be gender-non-conforming...
The reclamation of the word was done with no thought given to the actual people who endured it as a slur. Many older gay men and lesbian women hate it. Personally, I can't stand it because 'queer' theory has ruined everything last thing that it touches. And as you say, so many young heterosexual people embrace it because it gives them a social cachet they would not be able to garner on the merit of their own dull personalities.

For such a tiny group of islands the UK seems to have a lot going on and we can pull each other apart doing that. Sometimes I don't really notice where someone is based and love that sense of communal understanding and connections that seem to work across time and space, then other times sometimes the same person can say they're writing from thousands of miles away and I get a peek into what's going on somewhere distant, it feels very distant, and I find out something new. Having to also represent the politicians and every person in the place you live is a pretty tall ask - we represent ourselves not necessarily our 'nations' or current governments and whatever we feel about them.

For anyone who's interested and would like a little more solid info on how things are going in Canada, I've put together a sample list of court cases (there are many more) that show the degree of ideological capture. All publicly available at Canlii.
A trans-identified male was spared a jail sentence for trafficking cocaine because his “mental health issues and the mental health issues associated with her gender transition and the potential impact of her gender transition on her incarceration [sic].” R v HF, 2021 ABPC 68
Another trans-identified male trafficker (crystal meth) was spared jail because “her [sic] fear of facing further trauma if further incarcerated is both understandable and reasonable”. R. v. Graham, 2022 BCCA 252
A trans-identified male, appealing a conviction for committing incest with his daughter over a period of six years, as well as kidnapping, was referred to as she/her throughout the judgment. R v JKED, 2021 ABCA 111
A South Korean man was entitled to asylum in Canada by virtue of identifying as transgender and homosexual (although it is unclear whether he was gay or claiming to be lesbian). X (Re), 2013 CanLII 73865
It is contrary to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to prevent a trans-identified male (no surgery) from altering his birth certificate to show him born as female. C.F. v. Alberta (Vital Statistics), 2014 ABQB 237
Hair removal treatments for a trans-identified male were declared “medically necessary” and payable by the provincial health service in Manitoba. Appellant v Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors, Insured Benefits, 2015 CanLII 94115
Non-binary persons are legally entitled to be designated as “parent” rather than mother or father on the child’s birth certificate in Quebec. Centre for Gender Advocacy c. Attorney General of Quebec, 2021 QCCS 191
So exactly the same sh*t that’s going on in the UK. They’ve had all this x 1000. Everyday they are letting TIM Baby fukers run loose and all. So your point is? My point is the UK isn’t doing any better and they are hypocritical in their arrogance. They talk sh*t about Canada being worse while they are getting arrested like a bunch of clowns. I and others work in govt and other areas where it should be unsafe but we are absolutely able to speak up. You’re not getting it. I’m trying get you to comprehend that you need to tell women they have rights and to exercise them. Instead you want to play victim and tell women they have no legal avenues to pursue. This is a lie. Sex based rights are actually stronger in Canada but Canadians would rather play into the lost victimhood narrative instead of helping and doing something.
Why don’t you take that energy and provide court decisions and legislation showing that Sex is protected in Canada and that court decisions have been made that say single-sex spaces are legal and that Sex and Gender can’t be conflated. You chose a negative victimhood route thus proving my argument. You could have posted something to educate a Canadian women who needs help. This is what I’m taking about. You chose to attack me - a Canadian woman under stress taking on the govt for women like you who are nasty to me hence my peaking out on this GC bs “community” - rather than provide support to me or another woman reading this. You’ve demonstrated my issue perfectly.
As a fellow Canadian, I am not so sensitive to criticism. I welcome it. We are totally captured, top to bottom in every province, and at the federal level too. We witnessed all political parties cave to the disingenuous 'Conversion Therapy Ban' legislation. Rarely a disparaging word about the cult of 'gender' ideology anywhere in any Canadian media. And yesterday's depressing announcement about an 'Lgbt/eternalalphabet' Action Plan. We are in deep doo doo because -- instead of the government doing proper homework -- they are in thrall to ideological indocrinators/advisors, one of them being the infamous woman-hater Morgane Oger, shudder.

Now we have even more complications and more difficulty in unravelling the mess that is 2SLGBTneverending+. Notice the government puts 2S front and centre. 'Two Spirit', an 'indigenous' term only recently coined, a term that can take on many meanings -- gay or 'trans' or 'non binary' or 'gender fluid'. It's a mess. So Canadian guilt about the historical mistreatment of First Nations peoples comes into play here. And nobody wishes to offend or speak out. So we have political correctness within political correctness, nested like Russian dolls. Yet, at the same time, Canadian ignorance and silence and failure to fight the 'gender' cult is allowing an inordinate number of indigenous children in 'care' to be 'transed'. More than is statistically probable because there are a lot of troubled kids in 'care' due to the ripple effects of the abuse heaped upon their communities in the past.

"This is for the people who were discarded by their family and friends after they came out, to everybody trying to live their truth in rural communities where they feel isolated. This is for the Black queer people who are fighting every day to justify their place in this country, and the trans women who are afraid sometimes to walk home alone in the dark, this is for you," Ien said.
"She said the strategy was created following several years of consultation and research with members of the 2SLGBT communities."
I think I saw some of the announcements and read some of it and had to stop it was so nonsensical. What is so hard to understand is the tumbling together of quite separate groups, with very different needs, in one whole progressive rainbowified block. What about the women raped and murdered in daylight? Yet it's men in dresses 'sometimes' afraid to walk home in the dark is it? Where are they pulling their unicorn stats from? Some really entrenched 'community figures' have created and pushed this.
The fast switch some countries with elements of Catholic underpinnings have done to this movement - they seem to have fallen for the new religion hardest. More guilt, more self-abasement to the new cause (oh and by the way sorry for all the abuses we committed and graves we keep finding).
One of the photos from the announcements showed all those politicians - they all were smartly dressed white men mostly over a certain age, all wearing the same blue politician suits, with the same smug expressions, yet telling us all this is for the black queer women. What a coup they've mastered.
They tell you everything you need to know about their phobias when they happily use a homosexual slur.
It's so distressing that 'queer' is now a celebrated word.
To be fair- I'm pretty sure it was genuine LGB people who reclaimed the word 'Queer'. (Similar to some People Of Colour reclaiming the 'N-word'). These words then seemed to become more socially acceptable, if in certain contexts, and if used by people who had the right to use them. But language evolves- so other people began using these words with yet new connotations (eg. n-word in Gangsta or Rap context). It is understandable if a Gay person takes back control of the word 'Queer' in order to lessen the power of the word, take the sting out of the insult. But as you say, if straight hetero young couples hi-jack the word 'Queer' to make themselves look like genuine victims of discrimination, and to pretend to be more interesting or cool because they claim to be gender-non-conforming...
The reclamation of the word was done with no thought given to the actual people who endured it as a slur. Many older gay men and lesbian women hate it. Personally, I can't stand it because 'queer' theory has ruined everything last thing that it touches. And as you say, so many young heterosexual people embrace it because it gives them a social cachet they would not be able to garner on the merit of their own dull personalities.
Thank you Fraserreal. I do love reading what people write here, and the responses (on the whole). For such a tiny group of islands the UK seems to have a lot going on and we can pull each other apart doing that. Sometimes I don't really notice where someone is based and love that sense of communal understanding and connections that seem to work across time and space, then other times sometimes the same person can say they're writing from thousands of miles away and I get a peek into what's going on somewhere distant, it feels very distant, and I find out something new. Having to also represent the politicians and every person in the place you live is a pretty tall ask - we represent ourselves not necessarily our 'nations' or current governments and whatever we feel about them.

It’s not about being “sensitive”. It’s about misinformation and the toxic attitude. Canada is only brought up to use as a punching bag. There is never any useful info. They did it again today on YT according to Canadians in my active GC group. I’m not in the mood to watch. Arty Morty still has no news to report apparently and thinks all Canadians are the descendants of American loyalists. He’s clueless. Glinner et al never share useful info or news b/c that would be constructive. They only talk about Canada to glibly say it’s horrible place with no explanation. Canadians on here admitting they get their info from Brits while Brits on here deny Canadians are getting info from them & therefore faces are important. I’m on the front line and actually doing things in Canada. You don’t know what’s going on.
I also notice that not one of you has acknowledged my lawsuits on this or offered support. That’s the kind of sh*t I’m talking about. I and other Canadian women have repeatedly and politely tried to share news and ask that corrections be made re misinformation. We get ZERO responses. Nothing. It is fuking hell trying to counter the bs being spread by Glinner, PP, Arty, etc
Wales gets criticised a lot (rightly in my view ) (and Scotland and Ireland) - things in UK vary hugely as well. England has done better because the conservatives are less captured and there’s been brilliant work by individuals that’s really cut through. Understand your frustration. Why not send stuff to Graham to run for you? I’m sure he would help
