My guess is that the interviewer believed she "had to" seem aggressive, or she'd be attacked by TRAs, and the whole episode would be pulled from broadcast. When I met Ruth The Charlatan, my then-husband's non-certified, no-credentials groomer, she told me how "rare" the diagnosis was, but how she knew lots of men like Neddy, and she was "certain" her diagnosis was correct, though her fragment of a credential was "being the wife of a doctor." This path should have been rejected by the surgeons who accepted the 'diagnostic letters." Researcher bias is very strong, and the field of psychology let it all spin out of control.
I'd love to put my painful past in the past, and never speak or write of it again, but I care about these confused girls, knowing I too, might have been sucked into the cult, as an athletic and non-ruffly teen girl back in 1969.

Plus remember the 87% return rate (it was 97% in England and Wales) indicated such a strength of feeling that many of the refuseniks were because of the sex question.

Liz Truss has been generally consistent in her support. I do hope Kemi Badenoch will be given the promised cabinet job too.
