He's probably done all the dick there is to do in Hampstead and is now ready to savour the Barcelona meat markets. After all, one is what one eats, no?
If his books are anything like his articles being a slow writer shouldn't be an impediment, he's extremely repetitive. I'm still not sure how OJ happened. He isn't a good writer and he's certainly no remedy for intellectual impoverishment on the left.
He's worked hard to tick boxes and he's ticked a few more with his fight against unrelenting, rampant transphobia. He took a short cut to that by conflating what LGB people experienced in the 80s' with Section 28 and AIDS/HIV related prejudice, and the experience of trans people now.
I suppose disliking women makes the deception and the misrepresentation worth it for him.
I know, and it's not surprising, his opinions are sought, he's keen to give them and he gets everywhere. That he's a fraud isn't going to matter to anyone he's useful to, and definitely not to him because it pays well.
Thanks a million ,JL for cheering us all up and saving our sanity once again . Great to see more people waking up to this unprecedented attack on science ,biology ,truth and justice. The misogyny at the heart of it has been apparent for such a long time but ignored by so many institutions etc. Very few people are denying " trans people " their rights in any case but by framing this as a "trans rights movement " the tras are deliberately misleading far too many people. Some people don't even realise that these poor " vulnerable transwomen " are MEN !! The people I feel sorry for are the kids who've been indoctrinated into this ,especially the girls who are either breast binding or have had double mastectomies !! Such a tragedy for all kids of both sexes who have been damaged by it .😭😭😭😭
Ah this has warmed my cockles, JL. Slowly, we’re gaining ground. The woman in the street is waking up, wondering who the fuck authorised the madness and is putting her foot down. Puulll!
Great news about Boots. Gladd they have been forced to remove that egregiously wrong article. I have been boycotting them for months after they included a Trans identifying male in their lineup on International Women's Day and referred to him as a female.
Was really pleased to read the coach's point in the Swimming World Guest editorial about converting the men's category into an Open category. I've been thinking this for so long now (and can only complain/rant at home to other half!) This change could be universalisable to every sport with male and female divisions. Everyone can compete in the Open category - its entirely inclusive, you just have to meet the competitive level. (There are some physical, endurance sports where elite women do hold their own/surpass men despite strength (dis)advantages etc. and the categories are open.) Qualification for the female category of a sport is being female and reaching the competitive level for that level of female competition. No male athlete should be able to move into the female category but they are always welcome to move down a competitive level in their chosen sport if they find themselves unable to compete at the power and strength level of the Open category, which will of course inevitably be dominated by men aged 18-35. Which is why females (i want to say women!) need our own competitions in the first place.
Probably ranting at the choir but this is one where the solution should be obvious but the actual obvious solution isn't what they're really after anyway...
My understanding is that the male category is in fact already "open" by it's nature. The women only category was created to give women a sporting chance where they could not possibly compete on an equal footing with men.
It's true that most of the men's competitions started out as being 'open' when, socially as well as physically and competitively, women and others were still fighting and pushing for the opportunity to participate and compete. Today, I wasn't aware that men's competitions are generally open to women, in theory, but I could be wrong and the rules as drafted could vary between different sports. As the two categories now exist, the men's can be seen to exclude 'trans'/non binary athletes not identifying as 'Men', whereas an Open category would not. Of course, they might not be able to compete at that level plus if they want to be recognised as female competitors, its not going to meet that aspiration and want.
For many of us, this all comes back to wanting the woman's category to be recognised and confirmed as a female category and the reasons why thats important.
I love the expression 'non-native dick' in Andrew Sullivan's piece, in response to a disturbed TM's claim to have always had a 'native penis', that some call a clitoris.
What a sensible and lovely guy. I wnat to give him a hug and also some advice on clearing up the background when he makes videos :) If he can see it, so can many, many more and by speaking up and making his views public he hopefully empowers others to do so too.
Yes. Great mind and lovely heart. Some of his videos are a little dark as he has struggled with physical and mental health. I think with kind words, more subscribers and support he might gain strength and be encouraged to continue. He certainly does his research and adds some unique material.
Perhaps we should have a fundraiser for OJ? It must be so hard to force yourself to isolate in a beautiful city for month. Oh the enforced solitude of it all! I expect his diamond slippers are pinching a tad too.
Thanks for the good news as ever, JL. Some heartening stuff for womens sports! I replied with a glimmer of hope from my little neck of the woods.
I am seeing change on a huge scale, people are finally waking up to this evil cult,so many great stories this week.Thank you Graham for keeping us up to date.
It's been suggested that the flood of corporate sponsorship in recent years towards pride events and associated charities is basically rainbow washing. Issues such as pay inequality, maternity cover, childcare provision etc cost real money, family right are difficult. HR departments policing staff for microaggression is an awful lot cheaper.
I actually have some sympathy for the complaint (probably not the complainant). If a corporate is going to talk the talk, without doing the basic work themselves, they're hypocrites.
I've seen some TAs (including Pink News!) denying that Edinburgh and Glasgow universities have dropped out of Stonewall's diversity scheme. And they're right. But they didn't bother to read the article properly. That's not the claim being made. The Telegraph reported that these universities refused to submit an application to Stonewall’s 2022 Workplace Equality Index, a totally different thing.
Thank you, different things, I see. I'm dyslexic and have ADHD, I can unfortunately be bamboozled very easily with words, so I have a habit of finding out as much as possible and asking questions :)
And that is a VERY admirable quality, Penny! I applaud you for it. It's a very easy misunderstanding re the different Stonewall schemes and you're absolutely right to seek clarification. (Isn't it lovely to see the idiots at Pink News show themselves up, though?? They're are ALLEGEDLY journalists and supposed to be able to do this sort of research!)
Thank you, there's stuff I know well and some details and history stuff I'm not sure of. (Yeah, you do need to investigate - I read loads of articles about "sex is a spectrum" before I wrote about an argument against lol. Plus I do have three science degrees 😊)
Hopefully, TOJ is a very, very slow writer.
I'm sure that's why he's had to go all the way to Barcelona to work. Though you'd think he could block women on Twitter from Hampstead, wouldn't you?
It's certainly glamorous but it's not 'Greggs in Mid-London glamorous' is it?
I'll warrant Lil Owen is a strictly Patissiere Valerie kinda guy! ;-)
Well, I wouldn't know about that. I don't listen to French music.
He's probably done all the dick there is to do in Hampstead and is now ready to savour the Barcelona meat markets. After all, one is what one eats, no?
Real authors go to a cafe.
Does the pub count? Hope so!
Depends if you have an advance.
Publisher in the pub: 'Pint of cider?'
Mole: 'DEAL! I'll get writing!'

The trouble is though - He is convinced he is the saviour.
I know, and it's not surprising, his opinions are sought, he's keen to give them and he gets everywhere. That he's a fraud isn't going to matter to anyone he's useful to, and definitely not to him because it pays well.
Owen Jones: The Useful Fraud.
And why is it that people convinced they are the saviour always seem to be residing in hell?
Lol

Thanks for your kind words, Susan!

Ah glad to hear that, Ms Growler. And, yes, I think you're right! The pendulum is swinging back... (Hope to see you and your cockles very soon!) xx

Nope. No validation to be had using common sense, is there?

I felt so light-hearted, so hopeful, reading this compilation! Thank you!!!
Ah that's great to hear!
I love the expression 'non-native dick' in Andrew Sullivan's piece, in response to a disturbed TM's claim to have always had a 'native penis', that some call a clitoris.
Yes, I love his turn of phrase!
Regarding 'Lia' I hope you don't mind me sharing this insight from YouTube. https://youtu.be/5dtq08pJ3nE
Oh thank you I'll have a look!
What a sensible and lovely guy. I wnat to give him a hug and also some advice on clearing up the background when he makes videos :) If he can see it, so can many, many more and by speaking up and making his views public he hopefully empowers others to do so too.
Well said ,Isaac 👍👍
Thank you. He seems cool. I love to hear trans and detrans people's voices
Yes. Great mind and lovely heart. Some of his videos are a little dark as he has struggled with physical and mental health. I think with kind words, more subscribers and support he might gain strength and be encouraged to continue. He certainly does his research and adds some unique material.

Take heart, BlackieKat! The pendulum is swinging. Soon there'll be more good news than bad!
"The trans movement is not about rights anymore". Hmmm . . . . If indeed it ever was
Yes, that rankled. Covering himself for past fraternal endorsement, perhaps?
I am seeing change on a huge scale, people are finally waking up to this evil cult,so many great stories this week.Thank you Graham for keeping us up to date.

So, let's take a look at Delta - https://news.delta.com/search?keywords=pride
I actually have some sympathy for the complaint (probably not the complainant). If a corporate is going to talk the talk, without doing the basic work themselves, they're hypocrites.
The "child" in question is 21 years old.
The comments on twitter about that top story, universities dropped out of stonewall, are saying that it's not true??
I've seen some TAs (including Pink News!) denying that Edinburgh and Glasgow universities have dropped out of Stonewall's diversity scheme. And they're right. But they didn't bother to read the article properly. That's not the claim being made. The Politically Lobbied Index
Absolutely!

Pink news have messed that up 😂
Thank you, there's stuff I know well and some details and history stuff I'm not sure of. (Yeah, you do need to investigate - I read loads of articles about "sex is a spectrum" before I wrote about an argument against lol. Plus I do have three science degrees 😊)
Then nobody knows better than you the benefit of research! (Also, much impressed!)
And critical thinking.
Thank you 😊
You expect journalists to do research?!?!?!? Omigod, that would take time away from the porn-watching and shopping. P.S. Love your work, JL!
Aw, thank you, Susan. That's lovely to hear! x
Yet another HUGE disappointment.
Doesn't surprise me. I have never liked him.
It is. Not to mention the placing of career over integrity.
