After a nightmarish year for her and her family, the charges against Marion Millar have been dropped. The Crown Office has confirmed that it has discontinued all proceedings.
And may I compliment you on how beautifully you word it, re the John Lewis ad - ".......a petulant brat in a frock deliberately smashing up stuff that belongs to women provided us with the perfect allegory for trans activism…"
I was at a workshop today about human rights and women. I was pleasantly surprised that LGBTI+ was only mentioned once in the hour and a half discussion. The rest of the time was a discussion about women and girls and their rights. I feel so much better today... We may yet be on the right side of the mountain.
It was a long wait for a good news section but some of the news is momentous especially with the forthcoming legislation on conversion therapy.
MP Miriam Cates speaks so intelligently and it's lovely that she's able to put her point across in full, without some smug idiot presenter interrupting her. Yet another Conservative speaking in defence of women and that's because the Tories don't threaten women who speak out.
I was heartbroken at the result of the last general elections and now I think, 'Phew!' as that would have been a disaster for women.
"John Lewis later said its accidental damage cover was available as an add-on to its new home contents insurance product and only covered accidental, not deliberate, damage.
“You may have seen our ‘Let Life Happen’ advert for our new home contents insurance offering, which ran between 11 and 27 October 2021,” the retailer said. “This advert has been withdrawn because the Financial Conduct Authority considers the content to be potentially misleading and could cause customers to be confused about John Lewis’s new home contents insurance offering. This was absolutely never our intention."
Brava to the Scottish witches doing that dance!! I had wished some UK GC witches might channel that, but didn't dream they would, as it's a German tradition (Walpurgisnacht) but they've bl**dy well magicked it. Fab. Thanks, all.

Oh I agree, Catherine. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be applauding Tory MPs and wishing perpetual indigestion on the SWP. But here we are.
