Monday 3rd July - First Do No Harm #1

THE DAILY MAIL: A young man who ‘transitioned’ when he was just nineteen years old talks about the surgery which ‘destroyed’ his life.

A gentle and feminine boy, Daniel Blake was bullied mercilessly at school, made to question his sexuality and even doubt his sex. Furthermore, being from a strict religious family, he was made to feel that his body was ‘disgusting’.

Daniel was only seventeen years old when he was prescribed cross-sex hormones after a half-hour consultation with a clinician who told him he was ‘an obvious case of transsexuality’. Two years later he had full ‘sex reassignment surgery’, including breast implants, an orchiotomy and a penile inversion.

Very soon after his surgery, Daniel came to bitterly regret his decision to ‘change sex’. He attempted suicided several times while ‘living as a woman’ and says, “I felt like I was playing a role, a role that I was faking - which is obviously exactly what every trans person does but they mostly don't think of it that way”.

Now, aged 23, Daniel is detransitioning. Earlier this year he underwent surgery to have his breast implants removed and to reconstruct his chest muscles. He is also having testosterone injections as surgery made it impossible for him to create his own.

He told The Daily Mail, “The surgery destroyed my life. I cannot orgasm, have children or lead a normal sex life and I miss my genitals every day… Transition was the biggest mistake of my life and I hope I can prevent at least a few people from making that mistake too”.

Of the imminent closure of The Tavistock clinic, Daniel said, “It is good that the NHS decided to shut it down. This is insane. It's crazy that doctors and specialists provide children with this experimental treatment instead of offering them extensive psychotherapy. These people then have to live with drastic lifelong consequences”.

THE COURIER: Dundee schools are affirming the ‘gender identity’ of pupils who believe themselves to be trans whilst deliberately deceiving their parents.

A Freedom of Information request submitted to Dundee City Council has shown that a number of the area’s schools are allowing pupils to socially transition while deliberately keeping the information from their parents.

At four of Dundee’s eight secondary schools, emails sent between staff members show that teachers are being told to refer to a so-called trans pupil by their new name an pronouns etc but still use their original name in communication with their parents.

Such action is in accordance with Scottish Government’s policy. A government spokesperson told the paper, “National guidance makes clear that schools should support young people who are considering their identity… It is not for schools to influence or determine a young person’s choice but to support them”.

THE TIMES: The Bank of England is peddling gender identity ideology in order to curry favour with Stonewall.

The Bank of England is the UK’s central bank. It is responsible for the country’s economic health, setting interest rates, dealing with inflation, issuing bank notes and regulating banks and other financial firms etc. It also provides safe custody for the UK’s gold reserves, housing around 400,000 gold bars worth about over £200 billion.

The Bank of England is a ‘Stonewall Diversity Champion’ and regularly applies to be included on the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. A recent FoI request revealed how much money The Bank of England has spent on Stonewall membership and training etc over the last five years.

Last year The Bank of England came 57th in Stonewall’s annual 100 ‘top employers’ list and now seems eager to climb higher up the chart. The Times has had sight of its 2022 submission to Stonewall, the contents of which are frankly astounding from the institution on which the nation relies for its financial stability.

The Bank’s application boasts of having a parental bereavement leave policy which “Talks about parents without specifying gender”. It states that the phrase ‘birthing parent’ - used in the policy instead of the word mother - refers to “The parent who is/was pregnant with the child but includes persons of any and all gender identities”.

The submission details The Bank’s commitment to ‘gender-neutral’ (ie mixed sex) toilet facilities, undertaking that all of the lavatories on the entire seventh floor at its London headquarters will be unisex. (The female employees who do not wish to give up their privacy will, presumably, have to waste much of their working day travelling between floors?)

Furthermore, staff will be encouraged to add pronouns to their email signatures, wear rainbow lanyards and display a rainbow symbol at their workstation in order to be good ‘allies’ to the LGBT community. And as if that’s not enough, all of The Bank’s 4,000 UK employees will be expected to have an annual ‘diversity inclusion objective’ on which they will be assessed.

This is the institution entrusted with the nation’s financial stability.

Tuesday 4th July - Banking On ‘No Debate’

THE TELEGRAPH: As accounts of those with gender critical voices are being closed, The Telegraph has revealed that most high street banks are Stonewall lapdogs.

Following on from the story above, the majority of the UK’s major banks are members of Stonewall diversity schemes. HSBC, for example, which allows its customers to list their sex as ‘gender neutral’, is the top ranking bank in Stonewall’s annual Equality Index. Others appearing in Stonewall’s ‘top 100’ are Barclays, which offers private medical cover for staff members undergoing ‘sex reassignment’ treatment, and Nationwide, which encourages employees to list their pronouns in email signatures.

NatWest, still partly owned by the government, is also linked to the Stonewall scheme and, while Lloyds Bank failed to respond to The Telegraph’s request for information, it has previously been named as the country’s top employer by Stonewall.

Last week we reported on gender critical journalist, Stuart Campbell, having his First Direct bank accounts closed without reason or warning. Now it seems like other prominent gender critical voices are victims of the financial industry’s gender stasi.

The podcasters and YouTube broadcasters, Triggernometary, who champion free speech and often feature guests and views which challenge trans dogma, have just had their account closed by Tide, an online business bank. Host, Konstantin Kisin, said he had been informed that the issue was the podcast being in receipt of donations but he does not believe this is a credible explanation. “We can’t possibly be the only organisation that’s a business and accepts donations,” he said. 

The Our Duty group is an organisation for the families of children who believe themselves to be trans. Rejecting the ‘affirmation only’ approach and refusing the medicalisation of gender confused minors, the group’s members seek to protect their children from the dangers of trans ideology.

Metro Bank has just refused to open a new business account for Our Duty. The group’s founder, Keith Jordan, said he’d been told that the group’s request was rejected because “The content of your website conflicts with the culture and ideas we are pushing”.

According to The Daily Mail, Metro Bank joined Stonewall’s Diversity Champions scheme just last month. Though their association seems to go back a long way.

EASTERN DAILY PRESS: A trans-identified male convicted paedophile has been spared jail following an ‘unusual’ decision by magistrates.

We have reported previously on 66-year-old trans-identified male, Tanya Howes. He is a convicted paedophile who pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing indecent images of children and a separate charge of possessing 100 ‘grossly offensive’ extreme pornographic images and videos. He was in possession of dozens of indecent images of children, most of which were deemed category A (the most serious classification indicating images which depict penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity involving an animal or sadism).

He was recorded on all court documentation as female and referred to throughout proceedings with female pronouns.

In the past, Howes has frequently posted sexualised images of himself on his public social media accounts - most of them are unfit for publication - and has openly discussed his sexual activities and fantasies.

Since details of his case were made public, a young woman Howes once befriended spoke anonymously to Reduxx about her relationship with him. She spoke of how he groomed her in order to get close to her young children and did the same to other families, playing on their sympathy for his trans identity.

This week Howes appeared in Norwich Magistrates Court to be sentenced.

Remarkably (or perhaps not), Howes has escaped a prison sentence. Ian Taylor, chair of the bench of magistrates, told him that these offences “Would normally attract immediate custody”. Indeed, punishment for possession of category A images is between six months and three years in prison, according to sentencing guidelines.

However, Howes was given a 12 month suspended sentence which, magistrates said, was due to the case’s extensive delays.

The case had been adjourned following an application by Norfolk Probation Service for an extension to complete reports, including a referring the case to the Transgender Case Board which, introduced in 2017, was set up to make decisions regarding ‘the care and management’ of trans-identified prisoners who are in custody.

THE DAILY MAIL: A trans-identified male civil servant who slanders feminists as ‘far right’ and ‘genocidal’ has been appointed head of the Whitehall LGBT+ Network.

Saorsa-Amatheia Tweedale is the Diversity Ambassador on Trans Issues for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and the National Co-Chair of the DWP’s LGBT+ Staff Network. He is also the union rep for the DWP branch in Bradford.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he works “Across Government and with employers large and small, local and national, developing Trans inclusive policies and practices, and delivering bespoke trans awareness training”.

He’s in favour of self-ID legislation and, writing in The Morning Star a few years ago, claimed that trans-identified males are more oppressed than actual women. “Arguably trans women are under triple oppression: we are oppressed as women; oppressed for not being ‘real’ women; and are excluded from womanhood by some of our sisters”, he wrote.

We reported on him a several weeks ago after he slandered gender critical feminists as ‘far right’ and ‘genocidal’ in a motion he tabled at a trades union meeting.

In June he tabled an emergency motion at the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union meeting in Brighton. His motion called on delegates to note that “The presence of far-Right activists at the gender critical rallies in Australia was welcomed by the organisers even when they gave Nazi salutes”, a dishonest accusation which has been fully refuted and repeatedly proven to be false. He also claimed that “Statements of a genocidal nature” were made by organisers of the Let Women Speak events. Again, an outright lie which is demonstrably untrue.

Tweedale called on the PSC union’s national executive council to instigate a campaign and produce a leaflet “Which highlights the links between the far-Right, religious fundamentalist and gender critical ideologies”. He also wants it to “Promote an understanding of what genocide can look like in... anti-trans narratives, and a member's bulletin about 'biological essentialism’”

He’s just been elected as co-chair of the Whitehall LGBT+ Network.

Judging from his LinkedIn profile photograph, in which he’s wearing a black lace basque and a lesbian symbol pin, he appropriates lesbianism as well as womanhood.

The lesbians of the civil service are to be represented by a heterosexual man who colonises their sexuality and wants to destroy women’s rights.

Wednesday 5th July - When Words Mean Nothing

Suggestions that the suspect arrested over the mass shooting in Philadelphia has a trans identity have been denied. They do, however, highlight the huge journalistic problems caused by gender identity ideology.

On Monday night, in the Kingsessing area of Philadelphia, a gunman toting an AR-15-style rifle and a handgun, opened fire, apparently indiscriminately, on the street. He killed five people and injured several others, including two young children.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of those who died; Lashyd Merritt (aged 20), Dymir Stanton (aged 29), Ralph Moralis (aged 59), Joseph Wamah Jr (aged 31) and Daujan Brown (aged 15).

Police officers responding to the incident chased a suspect on foot, finally cornering him in an alleyway. The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.

It was then suggested that the suspect arrested over these horrific crimes, 40-year-old Kimbrady Carriker, is a trans-identified male. Photographs of him in traditionally female attire - long hair, earrings, jewellery etc - and appearing to have breasts were circulating on social media.

The suggestion that the suspect might identify as trans was ignored by most media outlets reporting on the shooting. Initially, Action News on 6ABC managed to report on Carriker’s arrest without the use of any sex-specific pronouns. The BBC and the The Mirror referred to Carriker as male while CNN avoided the use of sex-specific pronouns but did mention that prosecutors were referring to him ‘using they/them pronouns’. The Daily Mail described him as ‘cross dressing’.

In a press conference on Wednesday, officials confirmed that Carriker does not identify as trans. His grandmother, interviewed in The Independent, told the paper that he enjoys cross-dressing but he isn’t transgender.

Asa Khalif of the Philadelphia DA’s LGBTQ advisory committee hit out at those who had been speculating about Carriker’s gender identity, describing their conjecture as ‘nasty’ and ‘violent’. But what if Carriker were trans and those reporting the story had ‘misgendered’ or ‘deadnamed’ him? No doubt they’d have then been criticised by Khalif for their apparent ‘transphobia’.

And according to Stonewall, cross-dressing males are included in the extremely broad definition of the term ‘transgender’. Similarly, one can ‘identify’ as male one day and ‘female’ the next and still be considered trans.

We shouldn’t be too hard on those assuming that a man in earrings is a ‘transwoman’; the gender zealots are usually the ones insisting that he is. Anyone can be ‘trans’ under current rules. That’s what happens when words cease to have meaning.

Meanwhile, in the UK, both ITV and the BBC reported that Sussex Police were urgently seeking two ‘women’ in connection with a violent sexual assault.

Of course, female sex offenders are extremely rare. In this case, one of the ‘women’ was described as being 6 feet 3 inches tall. Rarer still. This caused social media users to speculate on the accuracy of the report, unsurprisingly assuming that the ‘women’ sought by Sussex Police are really men.

Sussex Police also described these suspects as ‘women’ and, when asked for clarification, refused to give a straight answer.

Obviously, when sex offenders are at large, it is imperative to issue accurate and honest descriptions to the public. Sadly, we can no longer trust the press or even the police to report something as basic as the sex of a dangerous fugitive. The first casualty of gender identity is the truth.

Thursday 6th July - Within These Walls

REDUXX: A trans-identified male gave a talk about ‘women’s empowerment’ at New Jersey’s female prison, promoting gender identity ideology to unsuspecting inmates.

We have written previously about The Edna Mahan Correction Facility for Women (EMCFW) in New Jersey which houses a number of violent and sexually males who claim a female ‘gender identity’. Two women prisoners, Miseka Diggs and Dawn Jackson, have spoken out about the fear experienced by women at the prison, having to be incarcerated with such males.

Last month, at a government-funded and facilitated event, a trans-identified male, La’Nae Grant, gave a lecture to the female inmates at the EMCFW. His talk was supposedly about ‘women’s empowerment’ but, instead, he pushed gender ideology onto the women assembled.

According to his own LinkedIn profile, Grant is the CEO of Lady L’s LGBTQIA+ Services LLC and “Provides consultation and navigational services to private and government sectors for the LGBTQ+ community”. In a 2021 interview, Grant told a local news outlet that he felt he ‘was a female’ because he “Always had distinctly effeminate characteristics and even a feminine appearance”.

According to a source inside the prison, most of EMCFW’s female inmates had no idea that a trans-identified male would be giving the talk they were signing up for or that it would be promoting gender identity ideology. Kokila Hiatt also told Reduxx that Grant lectured the women on the importance of ‘inclusivity’, telling them that he believes ‘cisgender women’ don’t accept ‘transwomen’ as female due to their jealousy or because of ‘competition’ for male sexual attention. Hiatt reported that Grant went on to say that ‘cis’ women have to accept that “Transgender women are women”.

The EMCFW currently houses around 30 trans-identified male prisoners, including Perry Cerf, a sadistic rapist and murderer with a long history of violence against women, and Marina (formerly Matthew) Volz, a pornographer who was convicted of the sexual abuse and exploitation of his own seven-year-old daughter. In April 2022 two women at the facility became pregnant after having sex with trans-identified male inmates and recently a woman was badly beaten after resisting the sexual advances of yet another trans-identified male prisoner. These are the men Grant told the female inmates they have to accept as women.

Friday 7th July - Taking Pride In Misogyny #1

BBC NEWS: Ulster Rugby has been barred from the Belfast Pride Parade over its policy of maintaining fairness and safety for the women’s team.

The Belfast Pride Festival takes place on 29th July and, as usual, will involve a parade through the centre of the city. The theme of the festival this year is ‘stand by your trans’. Ulster Rugby had applied to take part in the parade but were excluded by organisers because, in accordance with World Rugby’s guidance, the club won’t allow trans identified males to play on the women’s team.

In February 2020, rugby union’s governing body, World Rugby, held a landmark transgender workshop at which leading experts from a variety of fields presented the latest research on the inclusion of trans-identified male players in the female game.

"The latest peer-reviewed research confirms that a reduction of testosterone does not lead to a proportionate reduction in mass, muscle mass, strength or power. These important determinants of injury risk and performance remain significantly elevated after testosterone suppression… This presents a clear safety risk when transgender women play women's contact rugby”, was the conclusion.

World Rugby subsequently updated its transgender policy to prevent trans-identified males from playing on women’s teams, “Because of the size, force- and power-producing advantages conferred by testosterone during puberty and adolescence, and the resultant player welfare risks this creates.”

ALL of the evidence shows that to ensure fairness and safety for its female players, Ulster Rugby is right to prevent trans-identified males from competing on its women’s team.

For upholding the rights and safety of women, Ulster Rugby has been barred from taking part in Belfast Pride.

That trans activism is a men’s rights movement could not be any clearer.

Saturday 8th July - The Capture Of The CPS

THE TELEGRAPH: The Crown Prosecution Service seems intent on criminalising the wives of trans-identified males if they are anything but fully affirming of their husband’s new ‘gender identity’.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is the publicly-funded body that prosecutes serious crime in England and Wales. It recently published its updated Legal Guidance on Domestic Abuse.

The section on ‘Trans and non-binary victims’ is deeply concerning.

It is awash with the language of gender ideology and uses phrases such as ‘non-binary’ (of which there is no legal definition), ‘assigned at birth’ and ‘cisgender’.

More disturbing, however, is the behaviour the CPS now constitutes as abusive.

Refusing to use someone’s preferred name and pronouns and ‘withholding money for transitioning’ is now deemed ‘domestic abuse’. Pity the poor transwidows who will be forced to refer to their husband of several decades as ‘she’ and ‘her’ or risk prosecution. Worse still, they may be forced to surrender money they can ill afford in order to finance their husband’s prosthetic breasts or facial feminization surgery.

In June last year we wrote about the CPS’s latest hire, a late transitioning trans-identified male called Sophie (formerly Steve) Cook.

On Tuesday 31st May 2022, Cook announced his appointment to a key diversity role at the CPS.

Director of Public Prosecutions, Max Hill QC, publicly welcomed Cook to the CPS on social media.

Cook was appointed the CPS ‘Speak Out Champion’ a new role which, according to the online vacancy advertisement, pays £31,304 pa for an expected time commitment of around four days per month. The job description detailed the nature and purpose of the role as follows:

Sophie Cook is a trans rights activist and former political hopeful who describes himself as a ‘writer, speaker, actor, broadcaster and photographer’. He has been married twice, he has fathered children (now having the audacity to call himself a ‘mother’) and he ‘transitioned’ in 2015 at the age of 48.

At the time of his appointment, concerns were raised over Cook’s suitability for the role, largely because of the contempt he has shown for women’s voices, rights and spaces in the past.

In 2018 he appeared on BBC’s Newsnight, supporting the use of the term ‘womxn’ in order for the sex class ‘women’ to be inclusive of males.

He is in favour of allowing males to compete in female sports, even a dangerous contact sport like rugby.

The comment above was made in May 2021, several months after World Rugby had published guidelines barring trans-identified males from the women’s game due to the proven risks to female players and the increased danger of serious injury.

Cook doesn’t seem to think that there’s a problem with a 14-year-old girl being forced to shower with a male.

He seems to have a rather cavalier attitude to women’s sexual boundaries and has previously defended rape by deception.

Cook does not believe that knowledge of a person’s sex is a necessity when consenting to sexual activity with them. “Transgender people are entitled to a private life and the personal choice as to how much of their history they disclose”, he said, claiming that ‘forcing transgender people to disclose their history to prospective partners’ is ‘infringing their ‘human rights’. He doesn’t show the same concern for the ‘human rights’ of women who may prefer to know the sex of the person with whom they are physically intimate.

Cook stood as the Labour Party’s parliamentary candidate for East Worthing and Shoreham in the 2017 general election. In 2018 he graduated from the Jo Cox Women in Leadership programme, having enjoyed the benefits of a scheme intended to increase female representation in Parliament.

The same year Cook was, again, shortlisted as a candidate for the Worthing and Shoreham seat. He was supported by both Momentum and the Unite Union.

Allegations over his past ‘financial irregularities’ then surfaced. According to The Brighton & Hove News, these allegations concerned Cook’s former company, Seeker Photography Ltd, which went bankrupt in 2013 owing almost £90,000. The liquidator’s report suggests that Cook and his then wife had borrowed around £25,000 from the company and there was little possibility of that money being recovered.

It was reported that Cook had not informed the selection panel about this issue in his first round interview and he was eventually deselected.

In the past, Cook has attacked Professor Kathleen Stock for her upholding of women’s sex-based legal rights, claiming her views are ‘damaging’ and ‘put students at risk’.

He described Mumsnet as ‘a centre for transphobic hate’.

He described the LGB Alliance as an ‘anti-trans hate group’ and was one of those who tried (unsuccessfully!) to rob it of its charitable status.

He called Transgender Trend a ‘hate group’ and campaigned to ban its invaluable schools pack. (A reminder that Transgender Trend director, Stephanie Davies-Arai, was awarded the BEM for her services to children.)

And, of course, Cook throws around the word ‘terf’ with impunity.

Little wonder, then, that serious concerns were expressed about Cook’s suitability for appointment as the ‘Speak Out Champion’ at the CPS.

He’s been in the role for just over a year now.

And the CPS has just updated its guidance on domestic abuse meaning that women whose male partners develop a trans identity (just like Cook did) now have to be entirely subservient to their spouse’s new ‘gender’ or they will face prosecution for domestic abuse.

Yet again, that trans activism is a men’s rights movement could not be any clearer.

DAILY MAIL: Girls as young as thirteen are having double mastectomies after minimal consultation with clinicians over their gender confusion.

According to an article in The Daily Mail, gender-confused young girls in Australia are allegedly having double mastectomies after minimal consultation with clinicians.

One 15-year-old girl used Reddit to document having her healthy breasts surgically removed at an Australian plastic surgery clinic. She wrote that she had an initial appointment with a surgeon which lasted no more than 20 minutes. She was then given a referral from a psychiatrist after just one consultation. The clinic confirmed that it would perform mastectomies on girls as young as 13 as long as they had a referral letter from a psychiatrist written in the past three months. 

Senior child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr Jillian Spencer, said that there are Australian psychiatrists and surgeons who recommend and perform such operations. “These child psychiatrists are providing approval letters to allow adolescents to undergo chest masculinising mastectomies after as little as only one appointment”, she said. “The names and contact details of these child psychiatrists are shared by adolescents on social media to allow other adolescents to follow the same pathway to easily obtain the surgery”.

Dr Spencer added that there is overwhelming pressure on doctors to support childhood medical transition at the risk of professional sanction. She said, “This is not part of a culture war, this is a really serious child protection issue”.

Sunday 9th July - Taking Pride In Misogyny #2

THE DAILY MAIL: A trans-identified male with a violent criminal past spoke at London’s Trans Pride rally, openly inciting violence against women.

It was London’s Trans Pride on Saturday. One of the speakers who took to the stage was trans-identified male and ex-con, Sarah Jane Baker. He told the assembled crowd, “I was gonna come here and be really fluffy and be really nice and say yeah be really lovely and queer and gay... Nah, if you see a TERF, punch them in the fucking face”.

As a young man Sarah Jane Baker spent time inside for crimes such as drug dealing and armed robbery. He then served 30 years for the kidnap and torture of one of his own family members and the attempted murder of a fellow prisoner. He developed a trans identity while incarcerated. He was released in 2019 and, since then, has been a vociferous trans activist. He is still on licence.

At the London Trans Pride rally in 2021, Baker was photographed holding placards, one of which demonstrates his support for the sexual exploitation of women and another which read ‘Be trans, do crime’. There was speculation on social media that, given the huge similarity between the red spray-painted signs, he was also responsible for a placard threatening JK Rowling’s life.

Earlier this year UCL Women’s Liberation SIG and WPUK hosted a feminist conference called ‘Education for Women’s Liberation’. Speakers included Joanna Cherry KC, Julie Bindel, Helen Joyce and Akua Reindorf, among other leading feminist writers and academics.

Sarah Jane Baker was one of the trans activists who descended on University College London to protest this feminist conference. He was recorded yelling abuse at the women attending, calling them ‘c*nts’.

This week he addressed London’s Trans Pride, explicitly encouraging violence against women. “Punch them in the fucking face”, he said, cheered loudly by the assembled crowd. Metropolitan Police officers looked on and did nothing.

The Daily Mail reported a statement from the Met Police: “We are aware of a video filmed in Westminster on Saturday, 8 July showing a speaker making remarks during the Trans Pride event… The case was initially closed with no further action. This has been reviewed and the crime report has been re-opened. Enquiries remain ongoing.”

Earlier in the day, however, The Met had decided not to take any action. According to a post on Mumsnet, the force had initially been adamant that they would not act over Baker’s incendiary speech. A user of the site had reported the incident to the Met and received a swift reply stating that the matter would not be taken any further. The response referred to Baker as a ‘female’ and seemed to suggest that his inciting violence against women was acceptable because those women were ‘TERFS’.

Furthermore, reference was made to Baker’s freedom of expression. How many gender critical commentators have found themselves on the wrong side of the law for expressing their perfectly reasonable views? Knowing that humans can’t change sex requires one’s collar to be felt but incitement to punch women in the face is allowable as ‘freedom of expression’?

On the morning of the London Trans Pride event, London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, tweeted that he wished everyone attending a “Joyful, safe and empowering day”. He added, “I will always be on your side”.

At the time of publication, Sadiq Khan has failed to condemn the incitement to violence against women made at the event he had so heartily endorsed. Does the Mayor of London not believe the city’s women also deserve joy, safety and empowerment? Is he not on our side too?

A recording of Baker’s speech, initially shared by Dazed, was reposted on the London Trans Pride official Instagram account.

Furthermore, Baker’s incitement to assault women was then defended by the London Trans Pride organisers.

As reported by The Telegraph, a London Trans Pride spokesperson made a statement: “Sarah and many others in our community hold a lot of rage and anger and they have the right to express that anger through their words. We do not condone violence, we do not back a call to arms for violence of any kind. We do condone righteous anger and the right to the free speech that was expressed yesterday.”

So, mis-gendering is ‘literal violence’ but advocating the punching of women ‘in the fucking face’ is ‘righteous anger’.

“Both sides”, eh?
