Monday 8th November - Leave Them Kids Alone
THE TIMES: China has opened the country’s first clinic specifically for children and adolescents who believe they are transgender.
The clinic is based at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai and will ‘offer evaluations, diagnosis and interventions’ to children with gender issues. According to The Global Times, a media outlet controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, the clinic will “Safely and healthily manage transgender minors' transition” and “Serve as a bridge between transgender children, parents, doctors and society”.
The Times article commented, “Doctors said the clinic was necessary after seeing cases including an adolescent girl who liked playing with cars, disliked wearing skirts and suffered anxiety and depression after puberty.”
The Global Times reported that the girl knew she was transgender ‘after searching on the internet’. Medical staff at the hospital confirmed that she is transgender after just one preliminary evaluation.
Couldn’t you just weep?
(A reader doesn’t buy the story, characterising it as ‘fake news’ although I think it’s absolutely fair enough to include in this roundup as the source was The Times: That story about China opening its first gender clinic isn't true. How can a child access the internet when there is a huge firewall between China and the rest of the world? Chinese leaders like to promote themselves as a progressive super state to fool woke people into thinking they are not oppressive authoritarian capitalist state. China's culture is very strict on gender roles and homosexuality is not even allowed in mainstream media.)
Tuesday 9th November - Some Wile Under The Rainbow
THE TIMES: Staff at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office signed off on Stonewall’s workplace diversity programme without ministerial knowledge.
The Times understands that senior officials at the Foreign Office signed off on a decision to join Stonewall’s diversity scheme in July without consulting the then Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, or, indeed, any other ministers.
A Whitehall source told the paper, “For FCDO officials to covertly sign off taxpayer funds subsidising a controversial lobby group mired in constant rows is negligent at best and, at worst conniving”.
Also Today - Female Erasure In Northern Ireland
STEPHEN NOLAN SHOW: The SDLP has removed any mention of women or girls from its period poverty bill and seems unwilling to discuss why.
The Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) is one of the major political parties in Northern Ireland.
The SDLP’s proposed bill on tackling period poverty came before the Northern Ireland Assembly today. This bill does not make one reference to females, instead talking about ‘persons’, despite period poverty and issues around menstruation affecting one sex only.
The Nolan Show asked why a dominant political party should feel so uncomfortable using language specific to females in legislation on an issue that only affects females. The SDLP was invited to speak to Stephen Nolan and explain its position. The party responded that nobody was available but made a statement that it did not want to debate ‘gender definitions’.
Wednesday 10th November - Leave Lesbians Alone
LESBIAN & GAY NEWS: One of the women who contributed to the BBC’s cotton ceiling article describes the painful backlash to her involvement.
When Kat Howard was a student she was sexually assaulted by a ‘transwoman’ who then tried to blackmail her into a relationship by sending self-harm photographs. When Howard eventually had to block this person, he retaliated by decrying her to the University LGBT Society, labelling her a ‘slut’, a ‘transphobe’, and a ‘TERF’. She described these experiences to journalist, Caroline Lowbridge, for the recent BBC article, about lesbians being pressured into sex by trans-identified males.
Howard initially shared this testimony using a pseudonym. She was right to do so. Within hours of the publication, the BBC suffered a vitriolic backlash. The article was derided and scorned, even by prominent members of the LGB community, and Lowbridge had to deactivate her Twitter account. Within days, an open letter condemning the article had reached 16,000 signatures, including those of journalists, academics and even politicians, and hashtags such as ‘LWithTheT’ and ‘CisWithTheT’ trended across Twitter.
“If so-called progressives want to stand with perpetuators of sexual violence, and side against the lesbian victims of this abuse, then I want them to know exactly who they are choosing to dismiss. We are not made-up. We are not ‘TERFs’ or ‘anti-trans’. We are simply lesbians.”
Thursday 11th November - Under His Eye
The feminist group in The Netherlands which lost its bank account has now had its crowdfunder cancelled.
Last week we reported on Dutch feminist foundation, Voorzij, whose bank account was closed without prior warning by mobile banking company, Bunq. The bank claimed that the group’s activities ‘do not match what we stand for as a company’. Unlike every other so-called feminist organisation in the country, Voorzij refuses the ‘transwomen are women’ rhetoric and centres females in its work.
The foundation decided to challenge Bunq’s decision and intended to file an objection with the Financial Services Complaints Institute. It set up a fund-raising page which very swiftly raised the initial €5000 required.
Then GoFundMe cancelled its account and returned the donations.
You may remember that earlier this year GoFundMe did exactly the same thing to Marion Miller when she was fund-raising for her legal defence. Last year CrowdJustice took down Allison Bailey’s page when she was trying to fund her legal action against Stonewall.
Banning feminists from social media platforms, cutting off their funds and access to legal representation, preventing women from communicating and organising… It should be the stuff of dystopian fiction. But it’s happening for real right now.
Friday 12th November - Lush Normalising Self-Harm
THE CRITIC: Lush promoting breast-binders demonstrates how deeply ingrained in our culture gender identity ideology has become.
Last week, the Paddington branch of cosmetics giant, Lush teamed up with G(end)er Swap, a ‘UK based LGBTIQ+ clothing outreach organisation and community interest company’, to provide a ‘binder collection point’. On social media Lush invited girls to order their binders online for a minimum donation of £7. The booking form does not require proof of age meaning minors could order and collect a binder without the knowledge or consent of their parents.
Breast-binding is a dangerous practice that can have serious consequences and cause permanent physical harm. It can cause compressed, fractured, and broken ribs, respiratory problems, damage to lungs, blood vessels and muscle, back problems and posture issues. It can even bring on a heart attack due to decreased blood flow.
Women’s rights campaigner, Joan Smith, asks why Lush is promoting a product to young girls specifically designed to disguise their female bodies. It is indicative, she says, of the way in which trans ideology has permeated our culture.
“Why on earth would any company effectively encourage girls to reject their perfectly healthy bodies? It is not hard to discern a bandwagon effect, driven by the way in which breast binding is being normalised — glamourised, even…
It’s clear that extreme gender ideology has penetrated celebrity culture, commercial companies, government departments and charities, leading them to compete for the accolade of ‘trans ally’ even if it means pushing harmful ideas onto impressionable teenagers.”
Saturday 13th November - Some Wile Under The Rainbow #2
THE TIMES: A former aide to Boris Johnson speaks out about the influence of Stonewall over government policy on trans issues.
Nikki da Costa was Boris Johnson’s director of legislative affairs until stepping down in August. She has spoken out about Stonewall’s power over No 10.
She said that a small group of pro-Stonewall advisers are providing the prime minister with ‘skewed’ advice and information, controlling the contents of his red box and refusing meetings with anyone presenting an alternative view. Consequently, the prime minister is only hearing one side of the debate - that of Stonewall - around gender identity ideology and it is affecting government policy.
“There is no other organisation — no business, or charity, no matter how big — that can pick up the phone to a special adviser sitting outside Boris Johnson’s office and get that person to speak directly to the prime minister. But that is the kind of access that Stonewall has. I’ve never seen that in any other circumstances in Downing Street.”
The lobby group that dishonestly misrepresents existing equality legislation in order to promote its own agenda is dictating policy to the prime minister himself.
Also Today: A New Witchfinder General
4W: A post-graduate student who produced a paper featuring violence against women now works for an ‘anti abuse’ LGBT charity.
In July we reported on MSc student, Matt (now Mat) ‘they/them’ Thompson, who wrote a misogynistic paper involving violent sexualised fantasies of assaulting women.
This is an excerpt from Thompson’s paper, “Trans Endemics: Embodying Viral and Monstrous Threat in Times of Pandemic”:
“If TERFs think trans is an endemic threat to feminism, let us be the threat to feminism. We are the endemic, the viral, the toxic onslaught of ideology that attacks the very core of what you hold dear. We go unnoticed, right up until the moment they scream for mercy.
Am I a threat to you? Do I send chills down your spine?
Picture this: I hold a knife to your throat and spit my transness into your ear. Does that turn you on? Are you scared?
I sure fucking hope so.”
Thompson is now working for Galop, a charity which, according to its own website, “Works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence”.
His role there, Transphobic Hate Crime Independent Advocate, was advertised on the website CharityJob.co.uk in August. It involves working "Directly with trans people facing hate crime… helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from authorities."
Galop deems asking ‘invasive questions’ and ‘deadnaming’ as being among the ‘transphobic hate crimes’ with which Thompson will be dealing.
A man with a professed violent hatred of gender critical women is now in a role where he can ‘help’ trans people to take legal action against someone who simply asks them a question. What could possibly go wrong?
Sunday 14th November - Surfin’ TRA
PERTH NOW: A trans-identified male elite surfer is now determined to compete in the women’s sport.
This gushing, uncritical article begins, “Sasha Jane Lowerson doesn’t identify as a transgender woman, just simply a woman with a ‘trans-experience’”.
Lowerson began ‘identifying as a woman’ less than a year ago at the age of 42. Or, as Perth News laughably describes it, “Living her full truth, as her authentic self”.
Prior to this ‘transition’, Lowerson was one of Australia’s leading longboard surfers. Any information about his previous life seems to have been expunged from Google. However, in a recent YouTube interview, Lowerson says that he lives in Mandurah and was the WA longboard state champion in 2019. A rummage around surfing websites using an alternative search engine shows that a Ryan Egan who lives in Mandurah took the title that year. One of the articles reporting on the event describes Egan as having a wife and daughter and is accompanied by a photograph.
The photograph below was posted to Sasha Jane Lowerson’s Facebook page in August 2018.
This World Surf League page details Ryan Egan’s successes in the Men’s Longboard Tour (there is no entry for 2021). It lists him as being six feet tall and weighing 187 lbs.
Now Lowerson is demanding access to women’s surfing. He claims that he is being ‘caged like a criminal’ because regulations prevent him for walking straight in to female competitions.
“I want change for myself as an elite athlete but I also want to see fairness in community-level sport and for a better future for the next generation.” ‘Fairness’? Can he really be unaware of all the recent scientific research that proves unequivocally those born male retain numerous physical advantages, even post-transition, over women?
He described the current policy, which means a contest director has the final decision over the sex category competitors are included in, as ‘archaic’ and ‘unfair’, commenting, “We need to get away from that old-school way of thinking”. That ‘old school thinking’ about the reality of human biology?
He said, “Surfing is an Olympic sport now, we should get on board with the IOC’s guidelines”. Perhaps he is unaware that the International Olympic Committee itself recently admitted its current guidelines on the inclusion of transgender athletes are not fit for purpose and is planning an overhaul?
“I’m a woman, just like you”, said Lowerson, “I don’t want to be treated any differently”. No, Ryan, you’re not a woman and you do want to be treated differently. You want to be allowed to cheat.
See you next week.
Nolan's starting to get the full picture now isn't he? This could be a game changer.
'an adolescent girl who liked playing with cars, disliked wearing skirts and suffered anxiety and depression after puberty.' --- I was that girl, as were my sisters and most of my friends.
