Things I never thought I'd be doing:

Viewing Universities as places where speech is not free but are in fact totalitarian institutions.

Seeing paedophilia being defended and child porn defended as a coping strategy - they/them do realise that in order for there to be child porn, children have to be exploited and abused don't they?

Wondering how the NHS can get away with recording gender when only recently we learnt, for example, that women expereince heart attacks very differently from men.

Wanting to watch the show of Dave Chapelle reading from a biology textbook :D Perhaps this should be compulsory viewing?

Thanks as ever, JL for some good news. Heck, I usually need it. It can seem relentless at times, especially when you work for an employers that is still bought into the Stonewall madness.

Thank you, BlackieKat. I agree entirely about academia. I went to university decades ago, when critical thinking and debate were actively encouraged and a request for pronouns would have been met with howls of laughter.

Sounds like we were at uni around the same sort of time. It was awash with different views and ideas and most of all - debate! They seem to be places where we groom people on how to think the "right" way these days. I weep for the future. You can see it in gender ideology where everything they say is basically parroted.

I am afraid it starts in schools :(

All so right, especially the point about the children victims of the creation of pornographic material. Re the NHS, I was interested to note when ordering a PCR test through the app the other day, that I was given the option of "Male" / "Female" / "Prefer not to say" for my sex, and there was an info button underneath: "Why are these the only options?" (Sorry but I was too dopy to click it).

I'm sure one of us will click it at some point. I call these things "pandering buttons" or arse covering! I hope your PCR test was negative.

Thank you. It was thank goodness, as there are two of us in the house who are vulnerable! My teen has had Covid but he hasn't been too badly affected (apart from climbing the walls of his bedroom 😉)

Lord Hunt is a quiet hero and it's great to know the EHRC is involved with NHS decisions on sex versus gender.

He certainly is, Catherine. There was a time when I was utterly opposed to an unelected house of government, but now I cheer them on!

Yes. I have written to thank him several times and he always replies straight away too (though I would not expect that). Decent man.

I'd also recommend Kathleen Stock's interview with Triggernometry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrjLEpE6Ep4

I believe Joanna Cherry MP also asked a question at PMQs regarding the situation at Sussex University. I'm pleased that at least some of our elected representatives are consistently challenging the popular narrative on trans issues.

I agree about the Triggernometry interview. She's clear, calm, sweary and very, very tired-looking.

I enjoyed seeing her smile and chuckle, even through the tiredness. She’s a strong woman, thank goodness.

She looks great in the pictures for The Times though!

Oh yes. She is a beautiful woman, inside and out

She did have a discreet make up session before but, well, why not?

I cant help thinking that the Office for Students is going to have a very hard time trying to look at this debacle from the Free Speech and Freedom of Expression without imploding and making a mess of their pants.

That made me snort! Yes, I imagine they'll get through a fair few pants.

Let's hope so. I noticed that UCL have bucked the trend and refuse to 'cancel' any speaker students don't approve of. They'll be the ones looking down at other captured universities and laugh.

It probably depends on individual faculties as well. My oldest is at LSE at the mo and I was concerned, what with the horrible Gender Studies dept ("I hold a knife to your throat" etc), but he's doing hard-core economics and hasn't been brainwashed so far, thank God.

Allyn Walker's little academic bubble meets the real world - where "minor-attracted people" are just paedophiles - and it immediately bursts. This is what needs to happen to gender ideology as a whole; present the unvarnished truth of it to the general public and see how long it lasts.

As long as it's some vague, fluffy notion of "inclusivity & tolerance" and 'a bit like gay rights,' it thrives. The more people find out about all the paedophilia, misogyny and violent fetishism, the sooner it'll be treated as these things.

I like all the good hews syories, which seem to centre on platforms finally bring given to gender realists, which in turn means light being shone on the dangerous and pernicious trans ideology. Hopefully the public are waking up.

However, this appalling IOC decision seems to have been slipped out under the radar! It's shocking and the ramifications for female sport are huge. Anyone know any more?

Yes Úrsula we covered it in the War on Women (the Wednesday item). It's an act of appalling cowardice & cruelty on behalf of the IOC. They've thrown women under the bus.

https://www.gov.scot/news/ending-conversion-practices/ Scottish Government has announced a specialist group will be set up to look at ending conversion therapy in Scotland. What you bet it will be the same old faces. The Equality Network, Engender, SAMH. And everyone's friend and go to organisation, Stonewall. Scot Gvt has absolutely no imagination anymore...
