There’s another bumper edition of good news from the gender beat this week! Woman Of Westminster Won’t Wheesht Miriam Cates, Conservative MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge, made a brilliant speech in the House of Commons about the dangers of gender identity ideology being peddled to children in schools.
What the f**k is wrong with men? Killing a fox with a baseball bat? Beating porcupines to death? I'm more and more inclined to think they need locking up and only letting out occasionally with supervision.
A question which will not go away in my head. Those MPs who so readily got sucked into the gender ideology thing - are they really fit to be making decisions on running the country?
Miriam Cates MP - what a star! Her speech was short, succinct and impactful - delivered to a woefully small group of apparently snoozing MPs, but at least it is on the record. And when the war is finally won, Miriam Cates will be mentioned as one of the people who chose the side of science, common sense and human decency. Kudos to her.

I’d normally quite happily do away with the house of unelected representatives and all the other structures of inequality in the U.K. but I have to say, the House of Lords has been one of the glimmers of hope in this mess. (Aside from certain lords anyway). Perhaps having some people who can’t be voted out or sacked sometimes has advantages (limited). And I’ll happily see that other unfair institution hand out damehoods, knighthoods and an honorary knighthood when this is over because they will be very well deserved, a service to the world not just the U.K.
