I wonder what the NHS would do if women started claiming to feel suicidal when having to share a room with a TIM

Ignore them would be my guess.

Mine too. Although threatening suicide for not getting your way is typical abusive male behaviour so they might move the women to a male ward, who can tell in this post truth dystopia 🤯

Or accuse them of transphobia.

I think we've had a similar situation in recent months (and, I think, ongoing) with a group of women nurses who have complained about having to use changing facilities with a TIM at the hospital in which they work. They were told that they needed to be more considerate, or words to that effect.

Has anyone reported the Joanna Roland-Stuart situation to the Peers on our side? He needs to be gotten out of the female estate immediately. And Labour's sneaky antics need to be exposed.

Just wow. I'm hoping the reprehensible display at the Olympic ceremonies and these male boxers competing will peak the world. I heard that CeCe Telfer, a recent male high school graduate (Massachusetts?) will run in the women's track events at these Olympics as well. I suggest don't boycott watching, but rather take note (and I mean literal notes) of the women who get pushed off the podium by these deluded males.

For the good news epistle, there are two more trailers for Behind the Looking Glass, Vaishnavi Sundar's documentary on trans widows (I'm in it). Here's one link to Emma Brynn, the daughter of an AGP in the UK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3Tu3hrvLhI

Telfer was excluded. Oh no anyway.

Really? I wonder why I didn't get that news~

How can women be safe on shelters if they have to share their spaces with delusional men? Instead of being safe they are at risk of being further abused.

The last story is truly heartbreaking 💔

...it was the worst of times. Some years back when I was researching the media's coverage of domestic violence and homicides in NZ and AUS, I found extensive evidence of the media in both countries actively avoiding using the word 'husband' to describe the men who beat/killed their wives, and sometimes their children too, while the word 'wife' was just as actively used to portray the women involved as having in some way provoked the violence. The pathetic patriarchy is truly wicked and will stop at nothing to excuse shitty men and condemn any woman who, even after her violent death at his hands, dares to expose the truth about these shitty, woman-hating men and masculinity. It is no surprise to me that the media today delights in reporting male crimes as having been committed by women, and indeed to use the word 'husband' when reporting: 'a 70-year-old woman has been charged with murdering her husband', when the 'woman' is in fact a man.

Well, just another day in Transtopia.

Quite a sickening collection of news as usual. So many of these trans men-to-women all seem to be into BDSM and various fetishes and are also violent! Yet women are supposed to not just tolerate them, but welcome and affirm them into safe places such as refuges. How awful that the female member of staff had to go through that while the rest of us scream "we told you so" and yet politicians and governing bodies still prioritise the feelings of men over biological women. LISTEN TO US!

Just a litany of tragedy and absurdity. The end of women’s sport is in sight.

I have a very good friend who is trans. He grew up in a really rough area in the 70s and was bullied and abused relentlessly - by males - for being a gender non-conforming male. (It seems to me that he didn't so much want to be a woman but that he wanted desperately NOT to be a man...) He has suffered with anxiety and depression all his life and, 25 years ago, genuinely believed that full 'transition' would make him happy. Suffice to say that it did not.

No one who should is hearing that man are they. Especially the ones claiming to speak for him and his rights. And so few are examining what it is that is driving so many to reject their birth sex and the gendered shite and expectations that are still foisted on us all. By claiming they are upholding new rights frontiers yet doing exactly that. Hoping no one will notice the glaring cognitive dissonance. Rather than doing the hard yards and having the patience, determination and dedication to unseat misogyny, toxicity and narcissism they've just signposted everyone to being 'trans' which means this new toxic blend of misogynistic narcissism but also nothing and whatever you want it to. All at once, to really spin our heads. This foul rot is affecting us all.

Everyone is scratching our heads as vile and violent people run about being 'celebrated' and we see queues of people waiting to jump off cliffs. No wonder there are the inevitable riots. The State is playing with fire. People are being lied to - comprehensively and continually. Then that is lied about. Then that is also lied about. It's become very hard to disentangle the tiny beam of truth in all this despite us living it. And the usual insults are thrown, that we're all far right and fascist. Of course all the extremists are capitalising on this and all those who wish to destabilise us yet more to their own advantage.

Thanks as ever for your hard work, JL.

Maybe GC police officers should take legal action to fight back against that kind of training!!

What on earth is the justification for repealing the Freedom of Speech Act !!??

Phillipson hasn't repealed the act (yet!). It was only due to come into force this week so she has 'stopped further commencement' in order to 'consider' the options. She claims that the act would be 'burdensome' for 'providers' and the Office for Students.

Jaysus! It keeps getting worse. I fight despondecy if that makes sense. I can't fucking believe this is happening. Especially in SC where I reside.

I don't understand - surely the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act can't be repealed without the consent of Parliament, which would require a debate in the Commons and the Lords?

The law had been given royal assent but hadn't actually come into force yet. (It was due to take effect this week.) Thus far, Phillipson is 'stopping further commencement' of the act and is considering options, including repeal. If she does decided to repeal, which seems likely, then, yes, you're right, Dulle, the process of repealing a law is the same as the process for creating any other Act of Parliament.

Thanks JL. I expect she thinks the Labour majority means repeal will be inevitable. There'll be some resistance, though, that'll show up this government's woke authoritarianism.

Yes, I hope so. I think she'll get it through the Commons easy enough... but I'm not sure the Lords will be such a pushover.

You can contact the Olympic organisers via their website and ask them a question.

i asked them why they weren’t holding the woman’s boxing in a Colosseum replica, and adding in a few lions to finish off any female survivors of the male competitors ? Just to make sure.
