Yes, the irony in the Lancet is the failure to recognise that all in the same sentence they have observed the erasure of woman as a political class, and committed erasure of women as a political class.
😂 I think things are slowly turning around. The more this is discussed the more people see the madness- hence the injunction on debate. Thanks for your great reporting JL.
Yes, I think you're right. Bravo to Starmer et al this weekend who have done a brilliant job of peaking the nation! (And thank you so much for your kind words.)
How they have the nerve to talk about anecdotes when they fail to produce any evidence whatsoever for their claims of assaults, murders and suicides is beyond me.
Glad you find them useful Cassiopeia. It's often handy to have these resources at one's fingertips when the 'What difference does it make to your life' or the 'It never happens' or the 'Just be nice' brigade pipe up!
According to the article in The Herald (there's a link in the item) the authors are donating the book to primary schools thanks to 'private sponsors'. I'm sure we could all hazard a guess who they might be.
This is such a strange loophole. I don't care if it's free, it's propaganda! These are children and the very definition of vulnerable. Surely there's no obligation to accept any 'donations' and surely this could be open to challenge.
There also used to be people employed specifically to create reading lists. I guess through 'austerity' they've all gone. I can't see local library services agreeing to this. Mind you, library and education services appear to have been targeted for this kind of action (see rainbow monkey laughs).
Twitter is now marking the Lancet cover as potentially offensive :-). I am often bemused at the nonsense and mildness it deems potentially offensive, but in this instance it might be learning. Not sure what is being learnt mind you...

That really is quite a thing to behold.
There is no such thing as the right to be imprisoned with the opposite sex.
They want women to sacrifice their rights and their safety for something completely imaginary.
Absolutely right, Alan. Like Sophie said, women don't matter.
Thanks JL for another great update. This could well be Starmer’s Prince Andrew moment.
Thank you, Toni. Prince Andrew moment... that made me laugh!

Quite right, Anne. That's why they daren't debate; the whole house of cards would come crashing down.
Thanks, top notch work a always - such a usefully depressing round up
Ah thank you so much, Emma. Yes, it's been a grim week, I'm afraid. (But there's a Good News Supplement on the way!)
Thanks for this article, particularly the links to the 'it never happens' cases. Useful!

Where is the money coming from to give these books to Scottish schools?

Honestly I can’t guess! Mermaids? Stonewall? Whoever - there’s a lot of money behind this shit!
Why can’t we get every primary school a copy of “My Body Is Me”?
