So tiring for Sharon Davies. having to explain reality to fuckwits. No-one is stopping men who identify as women from playing sport. They can play men's sport, or like the rest of us, accept their (in their case self-inflicted) physical limitations and do something else instead. Gah!!

It's ridiculous that she has to keep explaining what is fucking obvious, over and again. Trans activists and assorted gender ideology groupies know precisely what she and others are saying and they understand, it's just become another thing they can exploit for the discrimination awareness dividend. But this doesn't work, most people know it's bullshit, but naturally, some are happy to lie about this as they do many other things. Eventually, this isn't going going to matter, these kind of misogynistic 'activists' and their assortment of slavish useful idiots and gullible fools, well meaning and otherwise, will hang themselves with the lengthy piece of rope they've been given, and they will start being told to fuck themselves, one way or another.

Yep. I've always thought their over-reach will be their undoing.

That is, the ones who weren't entirely into the idea of playing women's sport for the cheating, in the first place.

I couldn't agree more. If they don't want to play on the men's team, why not campaign for an open category? But then, of course, they'd have to compete on an evening playing field and wouldn't be able to steal all the medals and records with their limited ability! And, of course, it's all about validation, too.

As you so rightly say, our life choices affect our opportunities. If an athlete chooses to transition, then they have to accept that this may alter/inhibit their ability to compete in their sport.

The evidence is before our eyes. My two grandchildren are very athletic and the girl used to beat the boy in every swimming race. Now the boy at 17 is. 6’ 4” and size 10 shoes and his sister at 19 is 5’5” with size 5 shoes. Nuff said.

Oh of course everybody knows. Even without basic common sense, all the research and all the experts are saying so. Still so many very serious cases of fingers in ears... It's the usual story; men get whatever they like, women are unimportant.

A great list, thank you so much. My very favourite is the House of Lords leaving Stonewall. This may help more members coming forward against the madness.

Let's hope so! (And thank you.)

The H of L abandoning Stonewall is very significant and I think others will follow. It's going to help more people to feel emboldened, and realise that they do have fucking agency and a voice. No one has to slavishly cede to the demands of bigoted bullies, allowing their their numerous conditions and definitions to go unchallenged.

The U.K.'s House of Lords would be a good model for the U.S. Senate, but the Senate was formed in order to assure racial oppression and general U.S. backwardness.

Thanks Graham. Having just read RaquelRosarioSanchez witness statement, I certainly needed some good news. I hope Bristol University gets some justice dealt to it. And University of Albertay..you’re next.

I was so cheerful, I went and donated to Lisa’s legal costs. She has the best lawyers and she deserves some support.

Prof. Ross Tucker is terrific, I recommend his podcast, The Real Science of Sport. He has covered the topic of trans-identified men in women's sports several times.

Thank, Pie, I'll have a listen. (And, yes, he's great, isn't he. He's been talking and writing about this issue for several years.)

I really appreciate these good news posts. I am struggling this week with the madness of it all. I am supposed to be working on writing projects so thought I'd avoid Twitter and the gender debate for one day. But I've been bombarded with gender identity ideology from multiple sources. An advert on Spotify was about how oppressed trans people are. A 'feminist' host of a podcast nagged a guest to use 'they' whenever he said 'she/he', the write-in contributers asked about non-binary issues (this podcast is about unrelated politics!). I gave up and went on Facebook only to see Historic Royal Palaces sharing a 'trans' story that has fuck all to do with any palace or even history. It's too much and I think it will damage the entire LGBT movement. I want one day where I'm not having gender ideology pushed in my face and being called a bigot for saying it's too intense.

If you've never heard of Daniel Moylan be grateful for that, he's England's most pompous man by a country mile. Not sure this one is helping to be honest!

JL's avatar

Yes, he is. But, to be honest, as far as I'm concerned, if he's going to speak out against the silencing of women, he can put an actual plum in his mouth and appear on TV with his butler! ;-)

He's vile but this month I've agreed with him on two separate things. Ugh. This is where crazy ideologies lead us.

So tell me why (if it’s going to take quite a while to do these tests), why should it be that men compete, ruining women’s sport over that time? Men should wait for the outcome of the tests first before being allowed to compete.
