I had a look at Chwarae Teg's Equal Opportunities/Diversity Monitoring Form in their job application in August. They asked "What best describes your gender?" and include options 'Male', 'Female' & 'Prefer to self-describe', mixing up the two sex classes of the Equality Act with notions of 'gender'.

They also had this nonsense: "Is your gender identity the same sex you were assigned at birth?"

See my Tweets here: https://twitter.com/zeno001/status/1296442844396355587. I've had no response, of course.

See the list of 217 organisations, charities, police forces, government departments, etc, that I have highlighted on my new website: Sex. Not gender.

Alan we need to bring more attention to your sterling work in this area!

That list makes dismal reading. I'm trying to get my head around the fact that an organisation called the Royal Society of Biology accepts something so, well, unbiological.

Indeed. Of all organisations...

All institutions use the same form - the wording is exactly the same, so they must all be getting it from the same source. I encounter it again and again. Does anyone know which software company provides this form to organisations? I’m in no doubt they designed it Stonewall’s specifications, and now it’s sold to everyone who uses such forms.

I don't think so. The only common thing I've seen is replacing sex with the term 'gender'. There a few common themes but there really are no patterns to this. They all use different forms, different systems, different words... and no one would pay for such a form - they are all made up by someone in HR (who usually knows as little about designing forms as they do the law) or by software developers for that organisation's particular system.

Even in Government, although many of the 35 ministerial and non-ministerial departments that are advertising jobs use the same government system (and therefore the same form), several use different systems and ask different questions.

See: https://www.sexnotgender.info/equality-monitoring/government/

I’m surprised. I’ve seen the same two questions: “what is your gender?”, followed by “is your gender now the same as the gender you were assigned at birth?”, with the same answers to tick, on several forms now, identical words and answers, and I have a really good visual memory. That has led me to believe that the HR departments are using some standard form. But I’m sure you are correct.

Instead of caving in, the Mayor should’ve stood his ground, got the people who vandalised his home prosecuted, and mobilised his friends, particularly male friends, to support him. Men especially -nobody listens to women - need to start objecting to being treated this way.

Yes, I agree, Anna. I do wish he'd stood his ground & maintained his position. That women don't have penises should not be a contentious issue. But I imagine the pressure on him from all sides was immense. The level of grovelling and apology required was just farcical.

Yes. Had he stood his ground and refused to bow to the bullying mob, he wouldn't have been any worse off. More importantly he wouldn't have had to deny reality. It's a lose/lose situation because by apologising, he tacitly stated that he was somehow consciously in the wrong.

Absolutely right, Spinny. Caving to the bullies just gave them more power. It's so enraging because I am certain the vast majority of the Zedmpilas' listeners and constituents agree with him 100%.

Totally right! He can say ‘ when I was talking about blokes and penises, I was clearly referring to their biological sex. I understand that blokes with penises may decide they want to identify as women, and that is best described as selecting their gender....it can’t change their biological sex, or enable them to make use of women’s six specific rights. Of course these transwomen should have human rights, just like everyone else - just not women’s rights.’ Differentiating between sex and gender is vital; it also smokes out the maddest of the queer theory ideologues who will try to argue material reality is irrelevant (not that smoking them out makes them see how ridiculous they are).

Oh, if only he had taken the opportunity to clarify the distinction between biological sex and the concept of gender identity!

Unfortunately, in his (understandable) rush to put a stop to all the abuse he and his family and colleagues were receiving he agreed to re-education which included being lectured to by local trans activists. Now his official line seems to include a great deal of rhetoric about how "stunning and brave" everything to do with gender identity is. It's a shame.

This article is deeply hurting. But this time it's not just because of the war on women. It's hurting to see how artists are hit the hardest. Look at Lindsay, look at Stella, look at Gillian Philip, look at Rachel Rooney, look at Abigail, look at Helen Lewis. They are good at what they do, they don't decide to " oh let's be controversial" , their articles were forced to be viewed as thus. It's very sad and mad to see people losing their livelihood because woke people are hurt that despite having penis they are not called Women. Sorry for the bluntness, but it's really disturbing to see each day a new face losing their job. People have responsibilities and fecking mouths to feed. Parents to care for, partners, kids, siblings, grandparents. Not everybody is born with wealth and state previleges. I am a working class professional and I know the pain of putting in hours at work and all the to and fro travelling. It's a despicable act to get someone sacked for "no reason". It started with Maya Forstater and it has become a drill now. I wish all of these artists find something good in their lives.

I am pursuing the appropriate buyers in Waterstones about their decision not to stock Rachel Rooney's "My Body is Me" or Abigail Shrier's "Irreversible Damage: the Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters". I pointed out in my request that Amazon do stock them. The war between real book shops and Amazon will never cease, as I know from my time working in academic science publishing. I have written a review of the awful "Brenda is a Sheep" by Morag Hood labelling it "gas-lighting". Someone has to try to redress the balance!

I will add Stella Perrett's "2020 The Year We Were All Cancelled" to my shopping list at Waterstones. I'll just go and see if Goodreads has reviewed it yet and give a rave review even if I haven't bought it yet.

Yes, I have a problem with buying anything from Amazon: I have forbidden anyone in our household from buying through it because of what Amazon is doing to the high street, having already decimated the book trade. I mean: how much money does one man need?!

You did Great Sister !!!!!! We need more of this especially now , although I can't boycott Amazon completely , since back here in my country, it's the most famous and up to date Site which stocks and delivers all the books international or domestic.

We have fewer local book stores which will keep all the newly released ones.

However I try to avoid purchasing rest of the things from these woke sites. Don't want to pool my resources into them.

A rival to Amazon: you in the US have a new on-line platform called (I think) bookshop.org. I can't open it here in the UK because of.... digital trading issues (?). Anyway it has been so successful in the US that, with the added impetus of Covid, they rushed to set up and bring on line the all-new "UK.bookshop.org". Can you please check out "bookshop.org" for me and tell me if it stocks the "gender critical" list above? Thank you!

Oh thank you so much for such a lovely compliment, Gauri. I'm so glad you enjoy my writing. And your kind words are always very much appreciated. I totally agree with you about the shameless attach on people's careers and livelihoods. I say 'people' though it's mostly women, of course.

You always Earn it JL ❤️. Ofocurse it is Women who will get Sacked first. Sadly Men who support them are also getting thrown out. This madness has to end some day. How many trans people lost their jobs, despite them actively rioting in streets, vandalising properties, sending rape and death threats for which people have receipts and have provided the same to their employers - None , NADA, zero, zilch.
