Monday 30th November - The Jesuits Had a Saying For It
THE METRO: A teenage girl has been taken into care because her parents refused to authorise cross-sex hormone treatment.
A 15 year old girl has been removed from her parent’s care in the first judgement of its kind in Australia. A magistrate issued the protection order in October because parents would not consent to testosterone treatment for their dysphoric daughter.
The teenager lacks social skills, has issues with food and body image and suffers with depression. Consequently, her parents asked for an independent psychologist to explore any underlying causes of her gender dysphoria and consider non-invasive treatment options before medicalisation.
The magistrate ruled that their concern constituted abuse.
Lawyers acting for the parents are appealing the magistrate’s decision. The child’s lawyers have filed a suit, applying for approval to begin hormone treatment.
Tuesday 1st December - Where Have All The Lesbians Gone?
Canadian actress, Ellen Page, has decided that she isn’t a lesbian after all, but trans.
Ellen Page began her acting career aged ten and went on to have prominent roles in X-Men: The Last Stand and Juno as a teenager, shooting her to stardom. In 2014, then aged 27, she ‘came out’ as a lesbian and became a visible role model for young lesbians the world over. In 2018 she married her wife, dancer and choreographer, Emma Portner.
And now she is trans, has he/they pronouns and is called Elliot, apparently.
Elliot Page will continue playing female character, Vanya Hargreaves, in hit Netflix series, The Umbrella Family. Of course she will. Because nobody really believes she’s anything other than a woman.
But how very sad for young lesbians that such an important role model, someone in whom they saw themselves represented, now rejects her womanhood and sexuality.
Wednesday 2nd December - Always Follow the Money
PARTNERS FOR ETHICAL CARE: Sex re-assignment surgery is now deemed a business opportunity rather than a healthcare issue.
Global Market Insights is a global market research company which helps clients to maximise potential by “Exploring new markets and tapping into niche growth opportunities”.
The company has published a report on the sex reassignment surgery industry, describing it as a “Growth Market”. This report outlines trends and influences driving the market and highlights opportunities, ie the various surgeries involved, to maximise profits.
The “Growth drivers” listed are the worldwide increase in people opting for sex change surgeries, favourable government policies and increased awareness.
As Maria Keffler observes, “That GMI has created a report on how to cultivate a market for SRS demonstrates what’s become crystal clear: the transgender industry is actively and methodically promoting transgender theory and medicine for profit.”
The report also details the “Pitfalls and challenges” of the business model, one of which is the “Rise in incidence of sex change regret”.
No wonder everyone is so keen to silence and ignore the detransitioners; they’re bad for business.
Thursday 3rd December - Pink News Thinks Misogyny is Lush
WPUK: A statement on the grant from Lush and the Pink News smears.
Earlier this week week it was revealed that cosmetics company, Lush, made a modest donation to feminist campaign group, WPUK, as part of its charitable grant scheme. Of course, Pink News leapt on this chance to defame WPUK and, in an article filled with the usual untruths and smears to which we’ve become accustomed, called it and “Anti-trans pressure group”.
Trans Twitter went into meltdown and it didn’t take long before Lush issued a grovelling apology.
Friday 4th December - No Dark Sarcasm in the Classroom
THE TIMES: A schoolgirl is taking legal action over the Orwellian-style policing of classroom discussions.
The police investigating so-called ‘hate incidents’ in schools have been instructed to record a pupil’s behaviour, even if no law has been broken. These ‘non hate crime incidents’ rely on the victim’s perception rather than on objective evidence but they can appear on an enhanced DBS check.
In October the College of the Policing issued guidance with regard to ‘non crime hate incidents’, stating that motivation could include ill-will, spite, contempt, prejudice, unfriendliness, antagonism, resentment and dislike.
Solicitors acting for a 14 year old girl known as Miss B have written to the college. Miss B, who has an auditory processing disorder and dyslexia, is considering a judicial review over its guidance as she believes it impacts on her ability to discuss gender identity ideology. On her CrowdJustice page, she states:
“I became aware of the transgender issue when I saw males in women's sport and I feel it’s totally unfair that biological boys should be able to compete against girls. I feel frightened to speak openly about my beliefs at school and I am afraid I will be judged as wrong. I have to be so careful about what and how I say things and my processing is not quick enough so I end up feeling silenced and frustrated.”
Saturday 5th December - The Case of the Missing Data
THE TIMES: Last week’s High Court ruling on the prescribing of puberty blockers to minors has revealed an appalling lack of data collection and analysis.
The judges in the case requested crucial information about their patients which the Tavistock and Portman repeatedly failed to provide. Of the children referred for puberty blockers, the clinic was unable to provide any data on the following:
The number of children who had autism or mental health diagnoses.
The number of children who went on to take cross-sex hormones.
The age ranges of the referrals since the clinic started sending under-16s for treatment.
How many (or even whether) young people were refused puberty blockers because they were not deemed able to give consent.
David Bell, a senior psychiatrist and former staff governor at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, raised concerns over this lack of data over two years ago. In an internal report to the trust he called for the urgent suspension of hormone treatment for children until better research could be done into the outcomes.
This report included testimonies from 10 members of staff who described children with histories of trauma, abuse, mental health issues or autism being put on a ‘conveyor belt’ to transition without their reasons for seeking treatment being explored and without them understanding the consequences. The report also claimed that treatment was being dictated by transgender lobby groups.
Incredibly, even after last week’s High Court ruling, David Bell is facing disciplinary action which, according to his CrowdJustice page, “The Tavistock and Portman Trust has instituted against him in connection with his speaking and writing on the subject of Gender Dysphoria”.
Sunday 6th December - Scottish Children Still Part of Puberty Blockers Experiment
THE DAILY RECORD: Scottish clinicians still plan to medicalise gender non-conforming and dysphoric children.
Glasgow’s Sandyford Sexual Health Clinic is the only gender service for children and young people in Scotland. Despite the landmark ruling against the Tavistock & Portman NHS Clinic this week, it has said that it will continue to prescribe puberty blockers to children.
The clinic does not seem to share the concerns of the three High Court judges regarding the untested and experimental nature of puberty blockers and the lack of any robust evidence as to their efficacy.
Last December The Times reported on the steep rise in cases of very young children being referred to the Sandyford. Although there was an increase in children of all ages seeking help for gender issues, referrals of 4-10 year olds rose by 80% in just one year.
Feminist campaign group, Forwomen.scot, made a Freedom of Information request to find out how many child gender patients in Scotland have been prescribed puberty blockers. They were told this information is not recorded centrally.
The Sandyford clinic is part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which, regular readers may recall, was the subject of an article on this site very recently. We reported on its 22 page “Gender Reassignment Policy” which refers to babies being ‘ascribed’ a gender at birth. These are the medical professionals to whom we entrust the care of vulnerable Scottish children.
See you next week.
But...won't playing a woman trigger gender dysphoria which, as we're always being told, is akin to torture?
That weeks news is breathtaking. It is unbelievable how Stonewall and gender ideology have managed to take over the UK. Now we have the rainbow laces campaign noticed when watching the footy the rainbow armbands etc. Yet another way they keep it going. Capture is submission to gender ideology and all that entails. It is truly shocking the exent of it. Yet you can bet the average person has no idea. I have two friends now who mo longer read the Guardian but read the Times where you can at least get some decent facts.
