I see activists are already busily deploying their usual right wing smear tactic in a bizarre attempt to discredit the EHRC decision to distance itself from the car crash 🙄

Suddenly the Equality and Human Rights commission are a "bunch of Tory cronies" 🤓

They were allies this time last week now they're little more than Tory yes-men. What changed fellas?

Quite a journey for the EHRC: Trusted allies to Hitler fanboys in one weekend 😜

And all said with a straight face! 😄

They are the boy who cried wolf. They have no credibility anymore. I really believe SuperStraight was their downfall. It exploded as the voice of straight males who felt pressure to feign acceptance of having tw shoved down their throats (literally? lol). It was everywhere and within like three days it was gone. TRA said the "SS" was related to the Nazi SS. They called it far right, bigoted, transphobic, and every major platformed wiped every evidence of it off their servers, but not before the founder of it posted that he had to take the original video down because the TRA sent his mother death threats and interfered with her running her business.

Everyone knows that happened. Despite how corporate cowards are so afraid of losing a dime.

I agree. There's been a tangible shift in gear since the Superstraight episode or rather the hostile and venomous reaction to it.

See also the proliferation of 'transbians'; a piss-take too far for even those of a liberal persuasion I would imagine 😉

This is playing out like the scene from Monty Python's Holy Grail where the Knight has been fatally wounded but keeps hopping around saying "it's just a scratch".

I sincerely hope Lesbian and Gay news do a huge expose article on that blatant branding rip off that Stonewall has implemented. I also hope it's picked up in professional design circles and discussed as to its illegitimacy. Then.... picked up by all the mainstream news outlets. It's a glaring case of 'wolf in sheep's clothing'! Also makes me think of all the fake environmental protection companies with names like 'Humans For Protection of Natural Resources' which actually dig for coal/oil etc. Utterly despicable and unbelievable they are allowed to get away with it!

They're running a massive £3 million protection racket. "Give us your lunch money or we'll say you're a bigot..." But the wheels are coming off.

Big time! May the wheels permanently disappear!

What do you call a bandwagon with no wheels...? Not a joke, just thinking Stonewall will need another rebrand.

it really is, they are doing that to everyone, sexual predators using all the blood sweat and tears of the LGBT movement's last 50 years of hard work to further a depraved agenda. And it's going to hurt everyone in the end, apparently research is showing that LGBT acceptance has gone down for the first time in decades. I was stunned to find out 2 trans mtf sex workers were killed in my town a couple weeks ago...it is a rural town, middle of nowhere.

You're quite right, Ann. I've said all along that these clowns who play at being trans (Eddie Izzard, Sam Smith, Owen Hurcum et al) & claim to speak for the "community" are actually doing tremendous harm to genuine trans people. And, of course, LGB people. When the pendulum swings back, which it is, they'll be the ones to suffer.

anyone else on here feel like they can take a deep breath for the first time in months? Or maybe since last December when JKR posted her famous tweet about Maya? For me that is like a JFK moment. I literally remember where I was sitting and the time and everything when I read that tweet. It was like a world wide, or at least western hemisphere, electric shock. And now I understand more deeply than ever how very, very few people have the stones and scruples to do truly moral things like JKR did.

I would love to think so
