Ah yes, dear old 'cursed E', bless his little cotton socks. I've noticed, lurking on Twitter as I have been known to, that he has recently re-branded himself as "be kind". Let us remind ourselves that this is the guy, brimful of the milk of human kindness as he is, who is in the habit of inviting anyone who disagrees with him, particularly women, to suck his 'girl-dick'. This is the guy who still has, as his banner on the page "Bring me your children. What I can't trans I'll eat." Now he would of course pass this all off as a joke (we all know someone who thinks that saying something crass and offensive and then adding "no offense meant" is as good as, well, refraining from being crass and offensive), and indeed he has done- on the subject of calling for people to be dismissed from their jobs for transphobia, he admits ”I’ve actually said it a few times myself, mostly for impact and to shit stir to be honest, it’s not something I actually mean". He could've fooled me. About not meaning it, that is. Not the bit about him being a woman.

But the reason I mention this is that some variation on the "be kind" motif has been popping up from trans activists all over the place lately ever since the Keira Bell judgement, including from friends of mine (and they are friends, brainwashed though they be). All of a sudden there's this rollback from the same people who were calling for the blood of anyone who forgot the Pronoun of the Day a few weeks ago, and now it's "trans people just want to keep their heads down and live their lives", "let's agree to disagree", "live and let live", "can't we all just get along?"

Now this all sounds reasonable as hell, and as far as that goes it is, and I've been saying for years that I'm entirely in support of the right of adults to live their lives as they please, so long as they try to impose nothing on me or society at large.

But a note of caution: as a matter of historical fact, this call for tolerance is only ever heard from religions when they perceive themselves as being weak. You see that in the early years of Christianity when they were a persecuted minority within the Roman Empire, you see it in the early years of Islam when they too were a minority within a more powerful society that was hostile to them. But be warned: the moment that any religion gains enough temporal power to impose its will on the rest of society, that is invariably exactly what it does. The tolerance was only ever meant to go one way. Trans ideology in the UK had perceived itself, with some reason, as having gained enough power to do that. Keira Bell's victory has them worried that they may have overplayed their hand, and they don't want to push their luck further right now. Who knows, maybe even J.K. won't be getting any hate mail for a while. But do I really believe that cursed E had that quickly become Mister, or even Miss, Nice Guy?

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to stir up enmities for the sake of it, or say that the world has to be forever divided into them & us. Be willing to build bridges. Accept those dinner invitations. But keep that long spoon just in case you need it.

I’ve never seen books organized by colour in a doctor’s office before. Isn’t there a college or licensing body he should be reported to if he’s advising outside his practice? How did chemically castrating children become so popular? It just doesn’t make sense.

Yo Graham. It seems like you need to lighten the weight of the images on your blog. They're taking an age to download.

Probably a good idea to download this video, he’s probably going to delete it.
