Brilliant. And we women know what you do and what it could cost you. I remain anonymous because there is a child involved, and my name is very unusual. I have two email addresses because even when I contact an MP, or the CEO of a charity or private business, for the first time I cannot be sure that I can trust them. We are the ones that all those women have given a voice to .

I couldn't come put as GC either. My 16year old daughter has been captured by this being coerced etc. Shes at college, i cant trust anyone. Almost turned into an argument yesterday with SENCO teacher saying we might have to accept she could be trans. Everyone is captured it frightens me. Had to send an email to her saying my daughter has been bullied shes acts younger than her years and we do not affirm her at home. Its an ongoing nightmare and why the government hasnt intervened yet is beyond words they must know whats happening!!

I’m anon for my children and my job-I work in D&I. I believe passionately in my work and I see trans ideology as antithetical to it, but as you can imagine, some colleagues don’t get that and put pronouns in their emails and bios. Not me though. I will stay anon on social media as I don’t see why I should make it easier for men to identify me, doxx me, threaten me or trace my employer. When so many TRAs hide behind anime avatars and fake identities in order to insult and harass women, I don’t feel the need to change that. I’m still resisting the ideology in real life and online and that’s what counts.

Guys, please give support to Stichting Voorzij. They have had their bank account with Bunq terminated and their corwdfunder removed on gofundme.

This is very frightening.

Please spread it far and wide and donate through their PayPal if necessary.

Well said. We are not wealthy - far from it. If I lost my job - and I work in an industry that is captured by trans ideology, so it's highly likely I would if I went public with my opinions - my children would suffer horribly. I can't do that to them. And as for the stress ... "No thank you."

I have one name here, one on Glinner's discord, I have a different handle on Twitter and I use protonmail account to protect. And I STILL have my tweets locked down. So the ideologists don't actually see what I tweet (makes me feel better though). I would love to open up those tweets so they can see them....but I still don't feel safe enough to do so.

Not just me to think about. Others in my family need to be safe. And if I was visible, sadly my entire social network would be piling on me despite my speaking the truth.

I love this movement and all the articulate women and men within it! I'm not keen on Coming Out Day myself but I absolutely applaud the energy and commitment that's going into making it happen - we need loads of different approaches, styles, perspectives - no one thing is going to appeal to everyone. Same with how "out" we can all be, we all do what we can within our unique circumstances. We inspire each other, we cheer each other on, we give money if we can, we speak out if we can, we send love or a card if we can, we speak to our friends or family or someone at the gym or the corner shop - it takes us all, being ourselves, pulling together xxx

I follow you on Twitter, @ascapigliata8. I see the responses you get. They are appalling.

I'm conducting an experiment on Twitter at the moment. Instead of my usual long-winded replies, I'm seeding in similar responses to those I see women getting monstered for and the viewing the responses. I post under my actual name (along with a glorious dinosaur name Moley invented!) so it's not difficult to infer that I'm a man supporting women and children. So far, nothing even close to the insults, name calling and threats that women get. I've a few more ideas for the coming weeks, but I seriously doubt I'm going to get anything close posting under my name.

The only man I've seen that gets sustained attacks is Billboard Chris, but that's because he's doing an awful lot to undermine the Church of the Neutered Child.

I'm not surprised by this at all, but thanks for doing it. Women just don't get heard and many men - especially the misogynists in GI and those that support it dismiss women's voices so casually and easily. It's so much harder for them to dismiss the voice of men. People like you, and Glinner of course and any others serve to support and amplify our voices and I have never seen it as speaking for us (which Graham was once accused of in a BBC interview).

Yeah, posie has said it should be women winning (or her "i never lose") and i get that guys claim women are worthless, but there are plenty that think this gender identity bullshit is the next step in "modern independent liberated woman" just as they think blowjobs for all guys at last call proves theyre not prude. Theyre dumb and desperate. While im on the topic, her crew seems to dismiss feminism to the point where the few people that follow her are men that hate women. Not only that, male feminists like dave chappelle would be great allies and identify them in the acronym TERF. Her stunts like "men will guard our restroom with guns" just gives them more ammo. This coming out day is … really weird.

Firstly, being gender critical is hardly a subjugated worldview. The BBC has been captured and Kathleen Stock is on just about every show that’ll have her with barely any pushback. Even J K Rowling, the most famous author in the world, is gender critical. This feels like an attempt to paint yourselves as the outsiders to get the respect that comes with that status (the bravery of us against the trans-lobby)

Second, I’m not happy with the co-opting of the LGBTQ coming out experience. Coming out as LGBTQ is a genuinely dangerous thing to do and can lead to life-threatening consequences. Admitting you’re gender critical is a pretty mild thing to do, as long as you don’t give in to the urge to harass trans people. Coming out is an important part of an LGBTQ persons life and I find it distasteful and denigrating to use it as a way to gain respect.

I'm not happy with the word woman being co-opted by cross-dressing AGP men and lesbian and gay spaces being invaded by straight people. Expand full comment

Openly expressing views described as gender critical can have consequences which are anything but mild. Unless you consider the threat of possible loss of livelihood, being put under police investigation, suffering harassment and perhaps worse, to be only moderately stressful.

It's about women being able to freely use our voices again, speaking for ourselves and stating our boundaries. And men who uphold women's right to self determination.

Expand full comment

Ok, I accept some of that argument. But trans people have it so much worse. Their lives are genuinely in danger through living openly and authentically. A trans woman was stabbed in Birmingham recently and hate crimes against trans people have quadrupled. I believe the rhetoric extolled by gender critical people is directly linked to this situation, and, whether he means to or not, Graham stokes the hatred against trans people.

I'm opposed to trans people being subjected to harassment, abuse or violence. Of course that's not acceptable. But are you aware how much of a threat men represent to women's safety? Or how many women are beaten, raped and murdered by men? Women are reduced to statistics because it happens so frequently.

Misogyny is ingrained in aspects of trans rights ideology and trans politics, and anything that legitimises and encourages male aggression and anger towards women, solely because they are women, is extremely dangerous. It has to be scrutinised and acted on, not suppressed and presented as something very different.

Expand full comment

As far as I’m aware nobody has been murdered for having gender critical views. Again, I’m not talking about women generally

Expand full comment

Women are murdered for looking at a man wrong. Women are murdered for being too sexy. Women are murdered for not being sexy enough. Women are murdered because they wore the wrong clothes. Women are murdered because men feel unhappy. Women are murdered because men don't get a promotion. Women are murdered because men do get promotions. Women are murdered for cutting their hair. Women are murdered for having friends. Women are murdered for looking at another man wrong. Women are murdered for having opinions. Women are murdered for defending themselves, others, and their children. Women are murdered for writing online. Women are murdered for speaking up.

And yes, women are murdered for having gender critical views.

Women are murdered because women are murdered. There is often no rhyme or reason and the excuses for male violence are legion.

So you may be unaware, but this is happening right now. Many women here cannot express their opinions, thoughts or views to their own husbands, or families, and yes, that's their gender critical views.

Expand full comment

I haven't got the time to go through and pull out all the utterly ridiculous excuses that are used to justify or explain VAWG and MVAWG but you can find them online very easily. I'd be here for months detailing it all. Just so you can believe what you so clearly refuse to believe?

Part of me being gender critical is that I do not agree with gender stereotypes and find TRA a regressive and poisonous type of activism that harms many.

Expand full comment

A gender critical view is that I as a woman should have equal rights, safe spaces and not be disadvantaged for being female. I should not be disadvantaged in the home or at work, or in the street.

And I have been harassed for having those views. Not murdered yet though Tezzy, so you've got me there. Only attempted.

More importantly, the continued fanaticism of trans rights activists is endangering the lives of GC trans people, gays and lesbians.

Expand full comment

There is no legal minimum suffering requirement that one must demonstrate in order to be able to 'come out.' And I doubt many gays and lesbians will object to us using it.

Expand full comment

Good, I hope they haven't. And I'd hope that you'd agree that people should be able to express their opinions, as opposed to advocating cruel oppressions, without it endangering their safety. But that isn't what's happening. People are being threatened, intimidated and effectively prevented from speaking or giving an indication of their position. Lesbians have been threatened and assaulted by trans activists. Presumably, you've seen the evidence of that happening at some pride marches, a space where their place shouldn't be questioned. But it's a space where their non-compliance is increasingly seeing them being pushed out of.

I don't know you either. Let's address what I wrote. Or will you ignore that too?

Women are victims of violence, hate crimes, discrimination, and, in the most common, frequent cases, every few days in the UK are murdered. Did I mention rape? That’s a terrible situation and I don’t think the trans experience is comparable.

Let's not compare apples with pears eh? Is that broad and specific enough for you - I've covered both just to help you.

Expand full comment

But we’re not talking about the comparison between the violence taken against women and trans people, I agree femicide is a terrible terrible thing. We’re talking the comparison between gender critical and trans people, which was how you started this debate. I’m saying that trans people suffer real world consequences and violence for being trans, but being gender critical doesn’t have those consequences (which is also why I think a gender critical coming out day is distasteful)

I don’t think I do that, but what do you expect. I make the points I feel are valid, then when the subject changes, if I have any views, I write my points, then engage with anyone who wants to talk. On the trans crossing I spent quite a while discussing the subject.

Expand full comment

Well take it from me too, you do. This is not 'talking'. You weren't discussing it and you don't engage - you throw a verbal bomb in, tell others who attempt to react or interact with you that they are wrong to react, then throw another, deliberately escalate, then tell others what they think so loudly you can't hear what they are saying then scream that you're engaging and then do the poor me schtick when many see through it. You tell us what we think, whilst speaking over us. You've done it with me, and others, then gone silent which is a tactic. It's a bizarre form of non-interaction suited to Twitter rants. I have zero sympathy. It's toxic and often very keyboard warrior like. And very TRA. You are an attention seeker.
