Pardon my paranoia but I see a tension bewteen "extensive coordination" and "a generation who have been traumatised". Coordination - especially of the extensive variety - requires a certain coolness, a detachment. This trans mantra is planned, scripted, (well)funded, and organised at every level. It is the further extremities, i.e. the poor saps at the bottom, who are traumatised and floundering. And the media just uses them in the same cold calculating way.

One of our middle-aged male friend of ours has just come out as a woman. 🤣 I've found this stuff both ridiculous and horrific for the past couple of years, but this is the icing on the cake! I know what he is. I've known him since the 90's! This just proves this cult is for the bored, over priviliged, spoilt, lazy, demanding, attention seeking etc etc

Yes! The same hymn sheet, exactly that, because cross-sex ideology has all the markers of a religious cult, complete with ritual conditioning and manipulation.

If more trans widows stories had been made public, going way back to The Beaumont Society (cross-dressing men who sucked their wives into ritualistic "weekend retreats," at a time when talking about it was taboo, even between women, "amongst ourselves.") If famous Dr. Ray Blanchard ever bothered to do a study of the circles of manipulation and narcissistic abuse surrounding the AGP men he focused on, societal ramifications could have been at least recognized. Here, for your edification, are profiles of 4 current trans widows:

Ute: You are right to suggest that Ray Blanchard should do some research with us Transwidows. We know that he has sympathy combined with analytical powers for "AGPs" (the term which he coined). He should, I hope, be equally intrigued by the unhinging effects of "gas-lighting" by AGPs. How exactly do AGPs undermine the rational perceptions and truths held by the SANE wives? The world needs to know! The world needs to know much more about narcissism, which is a societal evil, given "rocket-boosters" by social media, blogs and the internet in general.

The workplace tell tale tits are awful. Seriously it is little wonder many over 50s have left the workplace and don’t want to return. Walking on eggshells everyday - why would they want that in their lives. Really nasty. Someone should write a book on it

I have just been locked out by Twitter for the following Tweet:

" @rodericogorman My trans ex-H was castrated. Do you seriously want to encourage children to go as mad as he was? GD is a v serious mental disorder - AVOID promoting it to young kids! It is "Mind virus" per @ElonMusk #GIischildabuse #sexnotgender https://t.co/0GAy5q3za9 "

Mr O'Gorman is a dangerous man!

I will have to remove my Tweet and his name, but I will re-instate my Tweet without the handle (but with his name!) in one week.

LOL!

This is fine as a short piece on the subject but to be honest this is a topic which bears far deeper treatment. For starters, it has been pretty much impossible all my political life (since the 1980s) to get Leftists seriously to debate their disagreements with other Leftists - managing capitalism versus replacing capitalism, economic policy, allegiance to the working class versus contempt for same, identity politics versus class politics, net zero, merits and demerits of EU from a socialist point of view etc etc. On many things leftists won't argue about what they believe. The purity spiral on gender ideology (Arty Morty's video's good on that) or religiosity/cult nature, needs to be seen against that backdrop.

Q Why is the trans debate so toxic?

Ans. Because it's a men's rights movement

I'm flagging up Helen Joyce's interview on Triggernometry a few days ago: "What's causing the Trans explosion?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTZsfk6Ms6s

She is calm, probing and fair, and has an illuminating smile. She is charismatic and charming. Just the right person to delve into the single most alarming world-wide mental disturbance and social hysteria of the last 50 years, say.

Thx for posting that LBG Alliance vid Glinner - v persuasive explanation - well done Shay and Hannah.

As for the video: I am very sure Shay and Hannah are very good at their stuff and know what they are talking about. So what I am about to say is in no way intended to undermine or question their expertise.

It's just that their style of presentation makes it hard for people to follow them. They alternate as speakers after each sentence. So each sentence is a new voice, plus there are relatively long pauses between each sentence. The fact that both of them has a different accent also makes it pretty hard, at least for non-native speakers. Even though each of them speaks perfectly understandable even for non-native speakers, it change requires some additional adjustment from the listener. That is harder for us whose native language is not English, and I am sure there are a lot of us who were listening in as well.

It would have been a lot better had they alternated after each paragraph or switched roles after each chapter or something of that kind.

Hello Chris,

I went to the LGB Alliance conference in October and listened to the presentation by Shay and Hannah in person. I agree with everything you say. Their talk was intended to be a "handover" from one to the other, back and forth, but the material was too disparate. Their talk needed to be structured in a more coherent form.

OK. I definitely want to see more research and discussion about the social media exchanges. These exchanges propagate the "mass hysteria".

I am referring to Dr Richard Corradi: https://thefederalist.com/2016/11/17/psychiatry-professor-transgenderism-mass-hysteria-similar-1980s-era-junk-science/

Thanks for the link Una-Jane - I'm not religious as he seems to be hinting he is; but I'm def on the side of villains as far as no-debate genderites are concerned ...

....increasing tolerance of 'no debate' within democratic societies may be the BIGGEST problem overall dontcha think? Exacerbates lack of long and nuanced discussions on all sides and all facets to decide how we humans can organise n live our best lives. Instead we get sound bites from 'experts' and propaganda on all sides ... is this inevitable?

Rather than polarisation, surely we need to be able to talk as never before in an attempt to agree inasmuch as we can, what human values are; the realistic limits of all political/economic ideals; what human health means both psychologically and physically; and how to live in peace as individuals and with others, given all our imperfections. Yup the whole enchilada!

- including greed, sadism and divide n rule from grifters n politicians. Hmmm ... wonder why we're dissuaded from such a debate! Oh life.

Expand full comment

it's not slick, that's true amd I found it off-putting to start with - but in the end I like it that way despite its imperfection. Better that they present it than not .... and personally I'm have enough of corporate-style/trendy branding and style over substance ... And I've seen nothing like it and surely facts and ideas are most important.

Expand full comment

Agreed: get this material out in any form. Substance is more important than form.

Expand full comment

Well, thing is, the form makes it difficult for many people to follow. This is not a question of corporate style or the like. If anything, this form of presentation attempts to create its own branding and partly adheres to woke-ish, academa-ish forms of presentation.

cant please all of the ppl all of the time but like i said, on balance, given human imperfections - FRIGGIN WELL DONE! No one starts off as an expert ... I'm sure they will get even better.

Expand full comment

Actually, they put a lot of effort into doing it in a way no one ever does these things. This is not just human imperfection, this is deliberate. That's quite a difference to someone maybe being insecure during a talk, having a stutter or whatever - things one would ordinarily just accept as what they are. Precisely because we know nobody is perfect.

This talk is done very badly precisely because they put so much effort into appearing like a perfect, modern, stylish and even woke team.

One of the aspects of the 'trans identity' which is often overlooked is the group identity. Those who 'identify' as part of the alphabet soup or an 'ally' become part of the 'in group' as opposed to those who are gender critical who are part of the 'out group'.

One of the main ways to increase the group solidarity is to say your are being threatened and attacked by the 'out group'. This is why people who are gender critical are constantly characterized as being 'transphobic', wanting to erase trans people...

This stance is also heavily policed within the group. At a WPUk meeting in Norwich a few years ago (Glinner was there) one of those protesting outside the meeting told me that they thought the meeting was 'useful' and could be a basis for 'further dialog'. However, they later completely changed this to attack the whole meeting as 'transphobic' and was one of the people who complained to the venue to try and stop WPUk holding other meetings there.

While the 'right' can build group identity by attacking or saying we are being threatened by 'immigrants', 'foreigners' or 'scroungers' the 'left' do it with 'transphobes', 'brexit morons'...

I wondered why my Trans ex-H had no curiosity to dig into his own feelings. I wondered why it didn't bother him WHY he felt so uncomfortable in his own body. I wondered for years, and then I realised that he was also extremely lazy AND manipulative. He would only work if he could make a profit out of it, as an architect and a small-scale property developer, but he had a complete block about his own feelings. Why didn't I notice this earlier? Because he had a quiet confidence and charm which beguiled me. He was not interested in logic or science. Fortunately for our children, I was interested in logical explanations, and I had no time for their self-indulgent and selfish father.

He let his emotional weeds grow out of control.

Thank you! I was terrified for 3-4 years after he left us, wondering if he would go to Court and force me to hand over the children to "maintain contact". But he didn't, I kept saying: "There must be an independent witness, a friend that we both agree on, present". I wanted to know what lies and manipulative things Paul (my trans now dead ex-H) would tell them. He had to be watched. We found such a person, but then Paul said he couldn't make the appointment, or something. After a few years he just stopped asking and I started to breathe more easily. Keeping children away from a profoundly emotionally disturbed parent is the single most important thing I did. Then they could flourish without confusion and emotional manipulation. Yes, I am proud of this. And I would encourage any mother who has experienced gas-lighting to adopt the same stance.
