Can I just share something with you guys? Not to do with this particular thing, but relevant to trans debate on toilets.

A friend of mine went to The Proms and after the concert went to the toilet. Three "huge great" trans males were in there and had colonised the entire basin area with their make-up bags.

The men were applying foundation to make-up laden faces and lipstick to overladen lips. Real women were creeping around them to get to the toilets for a pee. The men were "loud, dominating and aggressive" . One woman meekly asked for a corner of a basin to wash her hands as "I don't want to make your handbag wet".

Just to let men know, women do not behave like this in our toilets. They are careful of each other and considerate of other users.

No-one will complain, including my friend, they will just wait to pee at home next time, unless, like my friend who is a vaginal mesh victim, they cannot wait to do that. My friend is now worried about going to a public toilet. The BBC and the Albert Hall will never know, and will think that men sharing women's toilets is a great success.

One more woman peak transed.

Just awful and this is what's in our future and our daughters' futures. Sheer territory-marking and aggression. How very feminine.

You need an older woman in there to bark at them and say, "Quit your dicking around and get out of here!" You hit a certain age and you really don't care if someone attacks you (I never cared when I was young); what do I have to lose in this world overrun with horror, war, greed, climate chaos, and a pandemic?

And what if these (sexually excited and pumped up) men had told you to F**k off? What then? Nowhere to complain to. Would you lead an army of women from an emptying hall to drum three six-foot men out of the toilets? Difficult to the point of impossibility. Or would you back off and make them feel even more powerful and entitled?

I have NEVER backed down from a man or men in my life. When a group of men were harassing a woman in a park in the Boston area, my partner and I confronted them and believe me it was ME they responded to. I know many women have no experience of women's fierceness, but I grew up with a fierce mother who had grown up with a fierce mother. I saw my 5'2" mother push a man out the door of our house; during the McCarthy era she slept on the sofa with a baseball bat. I think something in men reverts to being the little boys they still are when they hear a woman talking to them like their mother. And I never allow fear of physical harm to stop me from doing anything that seems right and just. I've already been crippled by the psychopathic surgeons.

I've been thinking about what is to be done in these circumstances, and I think you are right. Get angry and tell them to budge up and let women wash their hands for goodness sakes! But would I try to kick them out? If it were the interval and lots of people around, maybe, but as the venue is emptying? I'm not sure.

I’m sorry, but I gotta ask cos my imagination is running riot here, but how do you know these huge men were pumped up and sexually excited while overloading their already overloaded lipstick? Enquiring minds need answers…

I think the former option should be tried. Maybe not difficult to the point of impossibility. Moreover you could try enlisting some real men who hate seeing these 'Buffalo Bills' bullying women.

If we let them get away with it, they'll just keep on abusing women.

A woman on Feminist Current said her husband now always stands outside the toilet door just in case. Not a bad idea if your partner is brave!

Expand full comment

Oh, and one more thing here. If you had kicked them out and they had complained about you, you could be arrested.

Probably not in Maine. The cops would have laughed at them. I just spoke to the state police about receiving harassing phone calls from (and I don't think the number was spoofed) Oakland, California; there is now a police record of some jerk and his girlfriend who probably found my name on Twitter from my rude reference to Sarah Brown. It was hilarious listening to the cop writing down "gender-critical, doesn't believe men can be women or women can be men."

Absolutely. Real men do not like men who bully women.

Years ago a woman said her husband now stands outside the toilet door when she uses public facilities. Perhaps not a bad idea if he's a man with some balls.

Given that Mr Justice Nicklin has requested that all cases brought by Hayden are managed by him I don't think it's long before Hayden is identified as a vexatious litigant, maybe he'll doxx himself again as he did with his escort profile?

It's horrible for Lousie though, she's been through hell over the last few years and deserves a break - as do you, Graham.

Expand full comment

'vexatious litigant' - You are dead right, but surely that is way past due isn't it? is there some limit to how many times one can try this on - and fail?

Expand full comment

Is it because he is so rich he can afford not to care? Otherwise one would think the cost of losing all these cases would soon stop him in his tracks.

Expand full comment

I have no idea. Unless he has a mysterious backer?

I saw an explanation once of how he uses these cases to make money rather than lose it. It was complicated but made sense. It was probably on Kiwi Farms. Prepare yourself for uncensored rampaging over every possible sensibility if you have not visited before - but also meticulous research and verification of facts alongside scurrilous gossip:

I didn't know that about Nicklin J. Maybe he likes a good laugh. I looked up the vexatious litigant list on the HM Court and Tribunal website, hoping to find the name of our illustrious friend Hayden. Sadly not there - yet. It seems to be the Treasury Solicitor who puts people on the list. There is one course of action if someone takes out repetitive cases against you and that's a civil restraint order, so they have to apply to a judge for permission to take out a civil case.

Why is this not surprising? Remember the photo of Jenner on the cover of Vogue? No hands visible and enough photoshopping to make me look like Tyra Banks.

Why is Mr Hayden allowed to do this? Simple. He has long hair and wears make-up.

A touch of Lionel Hutz ...

is an ambulance chasing personal injury lawyer and, according to Lisa Simpson, a "shyster" whom the Simpsons nonetheless repeatedly hire as their lawyer (a fact remarked on by Marge Simpson in a typically self-aware aside), mostly because Hutz is the only legal counsel the Simpsons can afford.[1] His legal practice, located in a shopping mall, is named "I Can't Believe It's a Law Firm!" and also offers "expert shoe repair."

He often tries to entice potential clients with free gifts, including a "smoking monkey" doll, a pen that looks like a cigar, an exotic faux-pearl necklace, a business card that "turns into a sponge when you put it in water,"[2] and even an almost-full Orange Julius he was drinking from himself. John G. Browning of the Southeast Texas Record describes Hutz as a literal ambulance chaser; "Hutz typifies the sleazy lawyer. He exaggerates his academic credentials ("I've attended Harvard, Yale, MIT, Oxford, the Sorbonne, the Louvre") and is "the very worst in legal marketing".[3]
