You're an absolute hero, Graham. To so many of us. Your courage, integrity & selflessness are an inspiration. ❤

Graham I am so sorry. But then again I recognise the pattern. Academics, who have less of an excuse than comedians, have been shamefully silent. My colleague and former phd supervisor, when I told him I had received death threats, said we should all be more accepting of trans lifestyles. Trans lifestyles for fucks sake

Expand full comment

wow that's astounding. So I guess we should be more accepting of the mafia lifestyle, and the cartel lifestyle, and religious cult lifestyle, and any other lifestyle where sending death threats is normal behavior. 'Be more accepting' or else.

this is a guy who once told me off because I used the word damn in an email to refer to some files.

Oh.. now this makes sense. He's one of 'those' types of males. Eugh. Sit down, shut up and do as your told little woman. Let the trans run rampant. Because I said so! EUGH.

Some of the male staff at my uni don't even try to hide their contempt for women.

Ah! Your colleague is an Oxford graduate, obvs 😏

Cambridge actually

I assume Cambridge has also been infiltrated by the trans menace in that case 😉

It is worse than that. He is chair of international law. He just does not care, so he is willing to pretend to believe this bullshit.

This is something I know about academia after having studied at one of the three top UK universities for the study of Anglo-American Analytic philosophy (basically the study of Logic as applied to science and mathematics and language and politics). I have a deep respect for politicians who rose from the academic world to achieve prominence in politics, most notably, Harold Wilson (read about his academic superiority), but those who simply remain in academia and never try to raise their head above the parapet but all the time are subverting and controlling vulnerable teenage minds are the worst. They are usually to be found delivering political messages before a lecture (Example while at university I kept being told, by various academics, to demonstrate on the streets against various political policies of the time) Couple that with a pressure from the students union to accept that "old fuddy duddies are to be mistrusted and here's what you need to rebel against". It isn't just the academics at fault, in the UK the students union needs to be cut down to size too. Young minds are being delivered the politics of fools and are no longer being educated but taught what to think. Education should teach the skills to think, not what should be thought

Graham, I’m sure you know this already but what you’re doing is true bravery. If there weren’t people like you researching, reporting and clarifying it would be so much easier for the nut jobs to win. People around the world are talking about your work - this is proper global impact. Sounds like hard times at the moment but this is a long game and your work won’t be forgotten.

Graham, you are a hero to me. I've never said that to anyone before, but your standing up to this vicious onslaught is true heroism. I hope when the insanity of this time period is over, your name will feature prominently in the history books. Because of your bravery--and yes, because you are a man--others are beginning to notice and to say things and to have a little courage of their own. You could have ducked this whole thing, and you chose not to. Thank you.

You just said what I was going to write. Couldn't agree more!

You just know they're thinking : Fuck me! WHY did we target Glinner? He's not backing off! 😁

Damn straight he's not backing off kids! 😎 Furthermore he's proselytising thousands of the uninitiated who were sleeping at the wheel regarding child safeguarding and female erasure.

Happy days! 🍻

Amen, I bet that's exactly what they are thinking. To be honest I didn't know Mr. Linehan or Father Ted or anything, as an American, before any of this. You know someone is really special to take up a fight like this, it makes up for those people that suck so bad and are doing so much damage, to know there are these incredibly brave and moral people willing to fight just cause it's the right thing

Watch the IT Crowd. It’s hilarious and brilliant. (I’m American, too, although technically a dual citizen with the UK).

I have yet to watch Father Ted, but can’t wait!

Thank you, thank you - these words aren’t strong enough to express my gratitude and admiration for all you are doing to protect women’s and children’s rights and my sorrow at what you have lost as a consequence. I especially like your comment “the internet is creating a kind of a tiered reality for people” because that is exactly what I see. Younger people, politicians and the media are being sucked into a cult while the majority of people are completely oblivious to its spread or think it’s just an argument about bathrooms.

Graham, it really can’t be said enough but you’re truly one in a million. It’s a shame that you NEED to be that one in a million though. Although there are the brave and relentlessly brave feminists there, It’s so disappointing that you don’t have countless big names - journalists, politicians and celebrities standing right beside you all. Even worse is that they know you’re right and this aggressive gender ideology has no basis in reality. They know it’s not real, but no-one wants to be the first to admit it. I wonder how many Graham’s and JKR’s it will take before the damn busts? The fingers are in the dyke but it’s definitely getting very squirty.

Great read, thanks so much for staying in this when you clearly don't have to, choosing to fight for right is the mark of very high character in the times of this transdemic. Conversely it's very telling what we're dealing with when harassment and death threats are so common with MTRA activism. I am so relieved I got off the main platforms and have them blocked now, this newsletter keeps me in touch without having to go on those sites. I was having more and more conflict about it since I was webcam spied a year ago and when I got involved in that fight I learned just how in bed with child porn & child predator/fetish stuff twitter in particular is. It was always my favorite site but Jack Dorsey is just the worst, a total scumbag, he won't even disclose how many moderators he has and now he's being sued cause his mods found that child porn of a 14 year old boy 'didn't violate their community standards' so the parents of the kid are suing him and I hope they clean his clock, for tens of millions. One big award is all it will take, plus of course repealing section 230 and the suits will come fast and furious. I'm pretty certain all the pornsick tech geeks that moderate all the main platforms (and including now etsy and medium) are in some big cyber sex circle jerk/daisy chain to be perfectly blunt. The info that Rose of Dawn has (in her youtube video) on old online behavior of Challenor from her fur fetish/diaper fetish days a decade ago has me convinced this is how that community is all tight with each other, through fetish communities, and worse. P.S. the CEO of Medium (and co-founder of twitter) keeps this little blog if anyone wants to share their thoughts and feelings about Medium banning so many GC women, I know I did, it's rare you get a line to communicate with someone like that and as badly as Medium has come to suck over the last few months they should have to hear feedback from sane people why propping up sex predators and censoring feminists is so wrong https://ev.medium.com/

Reddit, anyone?

Yesterday the BBC's Media Show featured an extended interview (whitewash/propaganda opportunity?) with Reddit founder/CEO Steve Huffman. Anyone who feels moved to watch and let the BBC/Amol Rajan know what you think of it, great.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000ttkd/the-media-show-reddits-mission-to-fulfil-the-promise-of-the-internet

We in beleaguered GC outposts know that Reddit's actions, as compared to Huffman's words (!), include the grossly unjust, sudden killing off of a singular, 60,000-strong international community and resource for GC women, and the multiple scandals around TA-dominated modding, grooming, Challenor/Knight, suppression of GC voices, etc. These seem almost entirely unknown to the wider world.

Amol Rajan had a chance to ask key questions. I didn't see the whole interview, but the only bit where Rajan came close to a key issue was him referring to 'your extraordinary power: you have the power to allow a community of 750,000 people to exist or not' (The Donald, also shut down). Does he really not know what Reddit have done to silence and bully women? Was he failing to challenge in deference to TERF-decrying masters? Or does he not see how much it matters?

Another issue in Irish journalism is the interplay between journalism and politics. This week Colette Browne has taken up a communications role with the Social Democrats. She is on a long list of journalists turned political advisor. Which means, firstly, that journalists will be slow to criticise politicians who may give them a less precarious and better paid job. But more to the point, they won't pursue an issue like this which take on govt policy and bring them heat. Well done to Wayne O Connor. P.s. Rubberbandits are supposed to be intellectuals!

So sorry for all you've had to go through but so very glad you kept fighting. Your bravery gave me the courage to speak out and this site gives me the resources to back up my arguments - I'm 57, lifelong feminist and never thought I'd be arguing about why male sex offenders shouldn't be housed in women's prisons and why lesbians don't have dicks at this stage of my life!

That DEFINITELY wasn't in the small print when you signed up for the feminist cause! 😜
