I sent this to the doctors doing this to my gay son. He’s over the age of consent but I send them research weekly to make sure they know I am watching them. I don’t know what I would do if he told me he was having surgery. I know what I would like to do to these surgeons. They should be in jail. All of them.
On the subject of things they don’t tell you- the hardest thing of all is to have adult children. When kids are little there’s a lot you can do to protect them, but once they hit 18 and some places even younger than that, you can no longer intervene. My thoughts are with you.
Too true. And if they're over-18s on the autism spectrum or with other mental health vulnerabilities or trauma in their backgrounds, they can be sitting ducks for the gender cult. The love-bombing, the fawning 'allies' online and IRL suddenly offering special status, the buzz of becoming part of a movement that claims to stand for 'social justice'. Being told there's a single reason for your struggles, given membership and steps to follow to make it better, to fit in.
These adolescents (even the brains of more typical teens aren't mature until the mid-20s) are horribly betrayed by systems that remove protections at 18 as if autism or mental health challenges suddenly vanish then. And parents who know their kid's issues and try to protect them from chasing the insane harms of trans 'healthcare' are treated like insensitive obstacles, at best. More likely as bigots standing in the way of their kid 'becoming their true self'. By captured university staff, clinicians, pointedly woke (former) friends or even family members, who imagine they somehow know better than loving parents who've bothered to ask the big questions, who've found out the dark stuff.
I sigh whenever someone recognises the dangers for children but caveats 'but of course over-18s can do what they like with their bodies...'. Yes, yes they can. I want to shake them to spare a thought for all the suggestible 18-and-overs with no one any longer able to advocate for them, try to keep them from harm.
I find it hard to comprehend how the medical community can shepherd people into making these kind of decisions without full disclosure, without appropriate therapy and withoput, it seems, any thought of the Hypocratic oath they took. Whatever happened to "first, do no harm?" Then there are the MPs who are blindly calling for more of this in their virtue signalling chant of "Ban Conversion Therapy". They should talk to detransitioners like TulipR and ask them what affirming care did for them. They should be made to look them in the damn eye and tell them that what happened to them is ok, because it really isn't.
And how brave is TulipR for coming forward and speaking out? Detransitioners and trans widows need to be listened to by the likes of Kier Starmer, Nicola Sturgeon, Jeremy Corbyn and Mark Drakeford et al.
Watching that now. It's brilliant. What eloquent, intelligent and charming people. I am astounded at how they are coming to terms with what has been done to them when vulnerable by people they trusted - the state. And then how they have been so open and are doing this in the public gaze, with all the risks that brings.
What I hadn't considered fully was how GPs funnel people to GI clinics and 'as there's no guidance' they're even suggesting detransitioners are still being directed back there right into the jaws of those who do the harm. And that how we deal with distress is sex based.
What happened to BDD - body dysmorphic disorder - did that disappear?
Yes, in that area. A distorted view of your body, self/self-perception, image and often seeking surgery to 'correct' the bits of you that are 'wrong' or not aligned with how you see or want to see yourself. Nose too big, bum too flat, breasts too small. How surgeons have hacked at beautiful young people for eons. It seemed to be the given explanation for why people had so much surgery they ended up looking grotesque - that 'just a little bit more' and going for this perfect or idealised image you have developed in your head that's so divorced from reality. It's like that on speed.
I know treatment of disordered eating has changed a lot in the past few decades and wondering how the trans lobby have convinced everyone that it's not a mental illness but a divine right to maim yourself. Distorted thinking has become celebrated and encouraged.
Hearing him talk about what sounds like an insatiable need to get more and more 'done' sounded straight out of the BDD handbook and shows it was about more than any surgery might ever address. He would never be a woman; you can't change sex. Who are these UK surgeons?
You might be right. It's negligent at best and criminal at worst. And they are doing this to kids and telling the parents to affirm it or their kid will commit suicide! FFS!
They should speak to detransitioners like him and they should listen. He isn't talking from a point of bigotry, which is their usual go to assertion, he is filled with pain, anger and distress at what was done to him by people who didn't care and took no care.
Unfortunately, the people who are responsible for creating the climate in which the kind of abuse he's suffered can take place, aren't interested in listening to anyone who isn't of use to them or isn't saying what they want to hear. It's why they don't listen to women when they're explicitly told how their lives are being negatively affected or seriously damaged by gender identity ideology and and the apparatus around it.
They don't have to be told, they know what's happening, so clearly this is what they want, it's their objective. Even if it all stopped now, the damage caused will continue emerging for decades.
I like to think that there's a reckoning coming but what makes me think that he was given a long consent agreement in micro print just as he was to undergo what he'd been convinced by the gender crew that he really, really "wanted."
I just feel so desperately sad for him and all the other young people that have been sold the lie that changing sex is cut and paste. He is unbelievably brave and selfless to share so much intimate detail and I’m sure it will save others from this damaging practice.
Those missing tweets censored by Twitter, because why? TulipR is bravely doing a public service, but Twitter decides telling 'my truth' isn't for detransitioners, deletes two informative tweets on the malpractice he's suffered?
Others need to hear about internal hair growth and gender docs not making a promised tissue repair. Twitter decides no one should hear?
It's weird isn't it? Are they just prurient, making it up as they go along, or I suspect they are scared of the surgical industrial complex suing them about specific details. 'Experts' like WPATH and Mermaids have maybe written a list of unmentionables for them. Who am I kidding, they've written commands to autoblock and delete them.
How much is the latest Purdue Pharma settlement? How long did that take and how will this compare?
This is very harrowing to read. That poor guy has gone through hell. I’m really pleased he speaking out though. He is so brave beyond words and I hope he can encourage others to do the same in speaking out against medical transition and the dangers involved which are irreversible. I makes me so mad that this affirmative pathway is being pushed in schools and higher education. Wake up so called professionals and medics before you harm anymore children and young people.
It does take courage to PUBLICLY acknowledge that you made a horrible mistake and are suffering for it. I sent the photo Graham published and TulipR's statement to the school board that fired the 77-year-old school nurse for posting information about trans/NB students (she did not use their names).
"And finally, there’s dilation, which is like some sort of demonic ceremony where you impale yourself for 20 agonising minutes to remind you of your own stupidity."
By the same token, would these doctors encourage an anorexic person to carry on losing weight? None of this adds up, there seems to be a lot of 'blind eye' turning rather than looking deeper to explore mental health issues in the proper spirit of therapy.
“In my obsessive, deeply unwell state they just nodded along and didn’t tell me the realities, what life would be like.”
And to think there are those who want to ban talking therapies that might have stopped TulipR from embarking on this distressing treatment. Good luck to you. Remember, don’t get mad get even with those in the medical profession colluding in this ideology.
This is horrific and should be a criminal offence, like FGM (in some countries). But in our fucked-up world the medical community will say he was properly informed of the risks and of the age to give consent. But what's meaningful informed consent when you're being brainwashed by a cult?

He was on Benjamin Boyce recently with Watson. He’s really bright

It was a great conversation.
Body dysmorphia, like thinking you’re fat when you aren’t?

I think this is why the whole process is rushed through so they don’t have time to really think about what they are doing and change their minds.
You might be right. It's negligent at best and criminal at worst. And they are doing this to kids and telling the parents to affirm it or their kid will commit suicide! FFS!

Love to you TulipR x
Surgeons should have to state that what they are doing is purely cosmetic as functioning genitals cannot be ‘created’.
This version is missing the tweets Twitter censored.

Harrowing indeed

stands out...shocking!
"And finally, there’s dilation, which is like some sort of demonic ceremony where you impale yourself for 20 agonising minutes to remind you of your own stupidity."
Yes. I’m wondering if he could just stop doing that and save himself the pain, but I don’t know what the consequences would be.
It closes up without dilation.
Yes. But what I’m thinking is, does he need it to remain open?
Maybe to urinate? I don't know where they put the urethra when creating a "neovagina"...
I think he said the base of the penis remains.
That’s what I’m thinking
Either way, this is barbaric.

A deep and far-reaching tragedy.
