Paraphrasing: "We should change our messaging because the audience will make emotional and irrational judgements" is a hell of a take on the last few years. The level of intimidation with threats of violence is well documented and widespread, do we really need to get into the psychology of whether that has been based on a rational and evidence-based response?

O'Hagan's impertinence is almost amusing when she refers to a 'divisive story' whilst writing her own divisive and dishonest story. Does she seriously believe that opposition to wokery comes only from the 'hard right', or that the only people being damaged by it are those with advantage? No, she doesn't, but she's happy to leave huge areas unexplored or conflate issues because it suits her agenda. Predictably, she's gone for the simplistic analysis, all good versus all bad.

I wouldn't argue that some hostile resistance to 'wokeness' comes from people or organisations that don't want their pre-eminence challenged or compromised, something that O'Hagan and Jones, et al can surely relate to, but this is one aspect not the whole narrative. Her entire piece is filled with inconsistencies and irrelevancies. Such as the suggestion that a third of people don't know what woke means. They don't have to know what it means in order to be negatively affected by what occurs as a result of it.

Truthfully, it's time for 'progressives' like her to 'bite the bullet', shut the fuck up and start listening to other people's stories. Which obviously they won't do. Her delusion or lies notwithstanding, and I'll go for the latter, she and those like her have done nothing but tell their story, present it as unchallengeable literal truth and use it to oppress people with. Or is that them being 'evidence driven and honourable'?

Left or Right? The Left wants to take aways women’s rights and give them to men who fancy themselves as women and the Right wants to take away our rights and send us back to the kitchen or bedroom. A plague on both.

There are plenty on 'the Left' who are against GI crap- but they have been taken in by the stealth, or are afraid to speak out be because of threats to their jobs, ot reputations, etc. But I think more are now realising....

Thank you for reading it so I don't have to. It's a half-world for the Graun now as it promotes and back peddles at once. They're on manoeuvres. Interesting having a scoot about the CLASS website. This is what trade unions have become and what they fund?

And if you spoke to most voters, and yes, even Tories, that mission statement of a 'good quality of life and building a better world' is what they'd say too. What's 'progressive' about that? What does it mean in practice? How will they deliver? What are these 'progressives'? They come across as boundary and rights smashing loons and societal disruptors. How is she still the Director at the Centre for Whatnot? How? It's as bad as a tobacco lobby firm.
