We want the names and faces of the particular instigators behind this 'persecution by police', nothing less -- including the original complainant, and those within in the police force who decided to follow through on this TRA nuisance complaint against Standing for Woman. Ideally, as well, a full, well-publicized inquiry into the endless police persecution of this particularly powerful woman's rights activist who, let's not forget, was once warned by police not to be 'untoward' about paedophiles! Something's rotten and it stinks to high heaven.

I totally agree. The police engaged in this need to be outed and identified.

I know it is a cliche but we really are in clown world where real life is more comedic than comedy.

"Untoward about paedophiles" would have been an awesome comedy line in any or many top comedies.

I have lived away from the UK for years, but am I remembering correctly that in the 90s the police were complicit in the reverse farce when they they got sucked in believing that 100s (?) of parents and teachers were in some sort massive paedo scandal? Cleveland?

How is it that they've gone from falsely accusing hundreds of innocent people of being paedophiles and now they are accusing people of pointing out grooming etc.?

Bizzarro world?

Not comedic. Its dystopian. Its "1984", "Gilead", "The Witchfinder General", "The Hunger Games" and many more, all rolled into one.

Its a Horror Film playing out in real life.

Nothing comedic about it.

Yes agree it is "not funny" in the sense there are real-life horrid consequences for many people whether mutilated, arrested, raped, mentally abused, economically ruined etc.

And it is scary and frustrating and sad and infuriating.

But there is humour. "Untoward about paedophiles" is a classic. "Non-crime hate incident" another.

Reading my current nonfiction book -- Whitney Webb's One Nation Under Blackmail -- and it's not at all funny as it explains the horror of the U.S., but sometimes it is humorous, learning that not only was J Edgar Hoover known as "Mary," but so was Cardinal Spellman by the RCC clergy (and Lenny Bruce was arrested for saying that Spellman looked like Shirley Temple, a tidbit told him by a priest!). Both of them attended homosexual parties at Roy Cohn's suite at the Plaza in NYC.

There almost has to be something comedic because otherwise how can we deal with this level of insanity? I know what you mean, but I find I have to laugh a lot at the absurdity, the surrealism, of what now passes for "normal."

Expand full comment

Yes! Agree.

Absurdity. Farce. Pathos. Irony.

A man dressed as a woman shouting "fascist" at a baby!

C'mon.

It's not funny but my goodness it is hard not to have a chuckle

And just to make life complete that clown Humza Yousaf has declared he’s running to be First Minister of Scotland to replace the self-styled ‘real feminist’ (in contrast to JKR - I know. Do you see what we Scotswomen have to put up with?). He’s planning to challenge the UK government’s block on the GRR bill despite the majority of Scots being a) against the bill, and b) happy the UK stepped in. Fucking ludicrous.

Expand full comment

It’s quite scary up here just now , he’s a racist , woman hating halfwit ( who tries to sue a nursery when they’re bloody full !! )

Our country , and I mean the whole uk is doomed

Expand full comment

Take heart. Sunak did well for the Scots in rejecting Nicola’s bill. Hopefully he will not waiver should the same issue be foolishly presented twice.

Expand full comment

Humza Yousaf is a Muslim, a faith whose attitudes towards women include those of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the Morality Police in Iran who killed a woman for not wearing her headscarf correctly. With many more women killed since, for protesting about the first.

So what could possibly be wrong with giving maximum freedom to men in Scotland claiming to be women?

I hope he gets elected. That should destroy the SNP at the polls.

It’ll certainly finish the job of destroying Scotland.

I hope Scotland is stronger than that.

If the UK blocked this self id law, why do the UK police seem to be enforcing it?

Why is it suddenly acceptable for women again to be silenced and publicly threatened with death for speaking their minds, if they contradict the fantasies of a select set of men? Who are the traditional protectors of children? Who else finds safety in traditionally woman only spaces? Why are women in the states, and around the world at this point, being threatened with prosecution, physical harm or expulsion from facilities for calling attention to men invading their privacy or to kids being ogled by men in wigs?

Expand full comment

It is institutional capture of our institutions, including the police, by the likes of Stonewall, which have themselves been institutionally captured by those who have autogynephilia or worse (paedophiles). Stay strong Kellie, you are fighting for all of us, not only for women, you are fighting against Newspeak and 1984 for the whole of society.

In November 2007 I was prosecuted by Sussex Police because my now dead Trans then-H falsely alleged that I had "assaulted" him in his home in 2007. In fact HE had assaulted ME. This was a much more likely story because (1) I am 5ft 6in and he was 6ft 1in and (2) he turned up at Midhurst Police Station in a dress to make his allegations and claimed to be Ms "Elizabeth". He was obviously confused about his identity and the facts of biology so why did the police listen to him at all?He basically defied the Police to ignore his preposterous allegation!

I had been the victim of his gas-lighting for 10 years and so was in a very bad mental state. He had walked out on me and his family 15 months before the visit to his house to obtain a psychiatrist's report.

I had never had any contact with the police until Nov 2007. Sussex Police locked me up in a cell while I waited for the Duty Solicitor to be free. Big mistake! I should have had NO solicitor, then it would have been much easier to overturn the Kangaroo process which happened. I was forced to accept a Caution in order to get away and back to my children who were waiting for me to collect them from school.

Police forces all over the country have taken leave of their senses.

This mad prosecution of wives and mothers who speak out against insanity MUST CEASE.

I have of course donated to Kellie-Jay's cause.

Well, that is most probably the case in reality. But I got a hunch police were trying to be not as obvious and came up with some legal sounding excuse.

What they said to her on the telephone was that she engaged in homophobic speech. As she pointed out, all they had to do was watch the video of the entire event to see that was not true. Here in the U.S. this harassment would undoubtedly provoke a lawsuit (which cities just take in their stride, paying out millions as a matter of course).

Expand full comment

Oh, so it's homophobia now. Good luck to police trying to prove that... Unlike transphobia, homophobia has a more or elss commonly accepted meaning, so they can't just use it to mean anything they like. (Besides, any legal provision against hatespeech against homosexuals tends to be a bit more specific than just saying "homophobia in public can be subject to a fine.)

And yes, Posie should try and sue the police for harassment, as well as the prosecution, should they get involved also - alongside pressing criminal charges.

Lawsuits against police harassment may not result in reparations and fines as high as in the US, but losing them is a major embarassment, and every Euro, Pound or whatever spent unnecessarily hurts public institutions, so at least a few may think twice before pulling the same stunt all over again.

I don’t think she has been charged with anything specific yet. It’s a fishing expedition to do with her Brighton Speakers Corner event. She decided to go along for the interview as they said if she didn’t they might arrest her and she didn’t want her family living with the stress of that.

Expand full comment

It is indeed a fishing exercise. She will take legal advice of course. But she could decide to say nothing. She could ask them to watch the YouTube video of all the speeches, including hers, and bring to her attention any specific instance of "homophobic" speech. There are no such instances, of course. I was there in Brighton near the front of the circle!

I think that we know the TRA who maliciously reported her.

Expand full comment

What can we do about this person?

Expand full comment

(1) Complain to police in another County about vexatious and unfounded complaints

(2) Get him suspended from Twitter (a long shot)

(3) Take legal advice about stopping stream of vexatious complaints.

These men are troublemakers. The law should be used against them. We have been letting them grow under our feet. Now that the tide is turning we need to chase THEM!

I feel like this is one of those milestone moments - they (the police / TRA's) will take her to court if they can - not just to silence KJK but to silence all women. It's a loud message to be quiet or suffer the consequences (yet again). How the police can think this is ok, when they have been told to stop chasing down "hate crimes" and focus on something radical (sarc) like upholding the actual law, is beyond me.
