There is a lot of silencing of women's voices on Twitter at the moment. @IT_Tech_Nomad (a woman) is suspended for stating that a trans woman is a man, yet I (a man) posted much the same several times yesterday and still have an account. It hasn't stopped my likes vanishing from important tweets such as J.K. Rowlings' "sleep with who you like" marvel, though.
I’ve just been banned permanently for commenting that I thought the woman who has just been jailed for 9 years for leaving her baby alone to die for 6 days in Brighton should herself be starved to death, I was so angry about it.
Got an instant ban, yet loads of other comments were ‘bring back the death penalty’ etc - they make no sense at all.
It would be interesting to know how many people have reported this account. Is there a tipping point in terms of numbers? (obviously 1 TRA report is worth 1000 of anyone else).
