I suppose like a lot of other women, particularly young women, they're responding to the intense pressure to conform to the ideogy. And they're being confronted with the consequences of same sex attraction being forcibly enmeshed with transgenderism. Far fewer young lesbians now refer to themselves that way, they are more likely to describe themselves as queer, even if they are exclusively attracted to women.
Queer no longer means LGB, it includes everyone in Stonewall's ever growing jumble of letters, including straight people. Why wouldn't it? It's being driven largely by straight men, whatever other identities they attach themselves to. Women of all sexual identities are excluding ourselves and each other from our own agendas in order to include those outside them.
Gender identity ideologists are greedy and their ambition is to dominate. They did it in LGB spaces, women's spaces and now they're doing it in all spaces. They have all the backing and support that lesbians lack. Look what happens when they try to be assertive and speak for themselves. Be good, or be genital fetishist Terf bigots and see where that gets you.
I despair of young women today though. Growing up in the Sixties and Seventies I and millions of other women refused to have men dictate how we should live our lives. What on earth makes young women nowadays acquiesce to these sinister agendas? We didn’t care who we alienated!
Women from your generation did so much hard, good work and made numerous gains. But they don't remain if we stop paying attention to what's happening. They become eroded in a culture of misigyny and identity politics. I'm amused, though not in a pleasant way, when people refer to different 'communities', the this or that community, and they'll all unified by shared beliefs and objectives.
There is nothing remotely shared, communal or collective about these various groups. They are hierarchies composed of narcissists with varying degrees of power and success. And a lot of gullible, compliant and frequently very anxious and vulnerable people underneath
They're just cults, they behave and function in entirely the same way. A large number of people will want to leave when they become aware that whatever group they've become part of doesn't really care about them, and is making their lives worse not better. But it's difficult to leave and re-establish more independent thinking again, so they'll need help and support to do that. I hope it's available.
Being born and raised in California (SF Bay Area) in the Seventies and Eighties, there were plenty of women around who didn’t shave and men who wore their hair long, etc. In addition, my eldest sibling was (R.I.P.) a second-wave lesbian feminist, so I never wore womanface or torture shoes, yay! Don’t know how I could’ve lived without people before me having worked so hard to break down the rigid, stupid sex stereotypes of the Fifties. Scary to think about, yet here we are with gender cultists. Men haven’t dictated how I’ve lived my life except indirectly, and I’m deeply grateful to especially the women before me who made that possible! I now understand the slogan I saw once on a t-shirt: A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.
That was then used in a Guinness ad which my friends and I loved. I realise now that it was probably played on rotation and heavily subliminally affected my choice of career :-). Enjoy!
This is awful,I attended and participated in organizing the Lesbian solidarity marches up until the mid 90s in Australia ,the gay men would walk at the end for support, what an absolute shit-show it has become,I now celebrate at privately with LGB friends.
I was sickened to see so many lesbians on Pride marches alongside trans-identified men. Don’t they know what’s happening?

Thanks👍🏼I'd forgotten that ad.
It is quite shocking. It's bad enough when it's hetero women.
Misogynists don't distinguish.
"Men Attack Women" shock 😑
Men beating up women, make it woke
