Isn't it time they formed the Sex is Real Party? I bet they'd get a LOT of votes!

The likes of Sex Matters already look to be far more effective by acting as a campaign group than the WEP ever were.

I thoroughly recommend the Transgender Trend Fact & Fiction Webinar from the 9th July (available online). It’s painful to just hear again about how some of this unfolded and the determined attacks by mostly men on women academics and the few women and men brave enough to speak up. We’re in the second decade of their open and florid grip on academia (and NHS and legal protections) now, despite the closed institutions, the media and politicians only recently admitting some of it and having been unable to squash all the whistle-blowers.

Heather Brunskell Evans is clear on the role of the WEP. I am astonished they are still going. And seeing that men like Mark Hellen are still employed by Goldsmiths. I read his online profile in his additional or ‘newer' name just now. That is an organisation that allowed him to put two names on an academic paper in 2010. I have been involved in academic research and have been the one writing and uploading things to academic profiles. That should have been flagged and never got through any decent process or peer review. It’s confabulating confabulations. This never happened, then all of a sudden it did. And some things that occasionally got through ended up the standard (aka what Helen Pluckrose and others have written about).

The detail of how so many of these aggressive, and often seriously unhinged nasty mainly men set up their little forums and social media groups (with the same links to the Guardian or Green Party or the Challenors or formerly left leaning people) with the specific violent intent to silence those who disagreed. To destroy them personally and professionally. Then that rot spread and was fed by those like those in the WEP who objected, questioned ‘morals’ and stood by.

They are still doing this now.

When will this gender woo madness end

Expand full comment

Maybe only when ALL women Unite against it !! Far too many are still supporting the MRA and there's too much infighting among the rest. We're all supposed to be on the same side on this one very important issue !!👎🤮💔

Also be great if the good old fashioned Transexuals could get 'organised' to reject the Paedophiles, AGP's and sexual predators. Just like the Gay movement did 'back in the day'.

PIE (Paedophile Information Exchange) were firmly shown the door.

Yes. I was watching a documentary on PIE and their allies in several political parties a few years back (maybe just over a decade ago). Then the next day I was walking to work, looked up, and realised I was walking past a very distinctive (not the Houses of P) building just near Whitehall where one of the big departments was based. It featured heavily in the documentary. I recoiled as I looked around and at all the civil servants around me, and wondered how many of those faces were the same as ones who'd neatly looked the other way. A few times I got stopped over the course of one week by raggle taggle groups protesting outside what they assumed was my department. Security would warn us to walk another route. I knew when to dress down and was careful how I appeared or timed my lunch. I was yelled at, stopped from using the pavement and had leaflets stuffed at me. I read one that ended up in my pocket on the train home after agreeing to at least read it if they let me pass. Of course a little bit of looking online and me wondering could it be real. It turned about to be linked to yet another genuine series of events - a scandal that was true, had happened and then hit the papers a while later. It's hard when you find out how many just conveniently look the other way about too much to mention.

'like' not working for some reason ... thx for your comment.

PiE never *really* went away. It hid and bided its time.

That time to return was provided by this gender ideology provided. Again Labour, clearly have NOT learnt their lesson from the last time it actively supported PiE are doing it again.

100%. I have likened paedophile to the Taliban. They didn't go away they just hid in the hills until more favourable conditions emerged.

What is the MRA please?

Men's right activists. A nickname for the Tras.

I was wondering if that was it - thanks! Apt. I wonder if many of these women are held hostage by their (teenage/young adult) children.

Like button is not working... yes, many people must be trying to support/ placate their children, or give into their emotional balckmail (i'll kill myself...). I know someone whose daughter had mental health issues for a long time, and has now gone non-binary... surely her mum can't actually believe that nonsense...

Not only parents of children who identify as trans but those whose children are 'woke' and persuade their parents of the righteousness of this bullshit ideology, or try to at least. A lot of people are quite humble and even if they instinctively want to reject it they might well think there's something they are missing and it actually makes sense (which it doesnt).

The ancient Persians had a tradition that one should never undertake a momentous decision until they have thought it through while drunk and then also while sober. This reads like a sober recitation of things said under the influence of libations and slept on with the greatest deliberation. Well done.

All too sadly true. I attended the Zoom meeting with Mandu that was supposed to offer a forum fo putting the gender-critical point of view. The fact that she set it up at all seemed to offer a ray of hope, but I got the distinct impression she was just going through the motions. After the meeting, she came back even stronger on the pro-trans front. I didn't renew my subscription.

It's come to something when I feel more in tune with Tories than any other party I might normally favour. They've all gone batty, or, as the great Magdalen Berns used to say: "Their minds are so open their brains have fallen out!"

Just who are they that are pulling the strings? What are their names?

Shame Standing for Women wasn't mentioned but can't have everything..

Expand full comment

Some of the big names at the WEP (that's big as in fairly small fish in very small ponds so they see themselves as whale sharks) leadership level that seem to be swayed very easily by some 'equality' concepts and by 'gender'. Mentioned in the article :-). Those who've been in the background of politics for a while (too long?). And think they have all the answers and must speak for us all. Women are as much prone to this as men are. We are merely little stupid people who must be 'educated'.

There are very strange overlaps with various 'theories' like critical race and gender theory, intersectionality and we're all racist all the time unconscious bias ones. Those who scream to Labour, SNP, Plaid, Green and Liberal Democrat women (and men) that they're not X,Y, Z enough and are therefore right wing tory neo-nazi bigots.

Not sure who are behind the useful idiots.

The behind the scenes string pulling is something to behold. Trust in politicians has sunk to some Dennis Kavanagh style benthic depths of new depths. Interesting how waving a brief ankle of honesty like a simple 'no' or calling out an obvious lie or seven hundred gets the public cheering.

I hope that after this week or so is over (and whatever the results) she can work in a cross-bench and genuine way after it. And that others let her. Some of her times in Westminster meetings or sessions have been superb. She can think straight and speak with a modicum of sense that the others never had or lost.

This is heartwarming but *only* if Mordaunt doesn't get into the final two.

At present, I am still very worried she will get into those two and that she will then be elected by the members as PM.
