Nice on all counts to hear there are still rational, sane and amusing adults in the room instead of the extremes women generally have to navigate their personal lives around. I don't know if anyone remembers the consensual S&M case in the late 80s, early 90s, when the Met initially thought they'd stumbled on horrific torture & murder evidence.
It turned out it was consensual & everyone - all men - were alive, but they decided to prosecute anyway (on the grounds that saying "please hit me" constitutes incitement), and some of the men died in prison.
I think since then the police have been very very reluctant to get involved in actual incitement to actual non-consensual violence, which social media has massively amplified.
